Sunseeker Resort Charlotte Harbor

This is a beautiful place, very clean, ecologically correct, the service is amazing. The unfortunate piece is that the unsuited side of the resort does not have any amenities in that building. You must walk or have them take you over in a golf cart to both pools. The closest eatery to the sun suites is the 4/5 star restaurant/bar. All amenities including fitness gym and spa are in Tower 1. I would prefer that the cost of parking, resort fees, taxes, and use of adult pool be included all in the accommodations Per day, not ala carte, as it is now. Hilton and Blackstone planning on being the future investors. Maybe, it will changed for the better.

The Sunseeker was very nice — updated, clean, excellent staff, and a large pool. However, for it being a resort there’s really nothing to do. There’s mediocre restaurants on property and a pool, but that’s the only thing that makes this a resort. Even then, there’s a resort fee to use the large pool, but if you want to use the 18+ rooftop pool, that’s an extra $25 per person per day. It was really disappointing and we ended up spending a lot of time in the room at night because of a lack of entertainment and activities. The pool closed an hour after sunset, so all there was to do was eat, drink, or sit in your room. For being a resort, our expectations were higher. Everything came at an extra cost but we weren’t really sure what extra things we were paying for.

Best gym ever

We loved our stay at this property. Everything was so well-maintained and clean - from the promenade to the pool as well as hallways and rooms. The fitness center and pools were top-notch. Lots of eating options too. We highly recommend the Sunseeker Resort!

The spa was superb…the best facial I’ve ever had! All of the personnel we encountered was very friendly and helpful!

The staff here was really pleasant and welcoming, which made for a great first impression. The room itself was clean, and the bed was comfortable, although the linens could definitely be upgraded for a more luxurious feel. The upstairs pool was a highlight — beautiful views and a relaxing atmosphere. However, it was disappointing to see leftover trash and items that clearly needed to be cleaned up. There’s only one hot tub downstairs, and it’s quite small for such a large hotel. While there is a much larger hot tub upstairs with a gorgeous view, it comes with an additional charge, which feels excessive given the overall cost of staying here. On that note, some of the resort fees did feel a bit over the top. $25 daily for self parking or $32 daily for valet, for example. The food at the restaurant was decent, and the drinks at the bars were enjoyable — a definite plus for dining and beverage options. Overall, the Sunseeker Resort has a lot of potential and some great amenities, but attention to cleanliness in shared spaces, more reasonable fees, and a few small upgrades could make the experience much better.

Not enough seating at the roof pool.

We checked in for a 1 night stay and Jacob at the desk wrote down the wrong room number. There was a long line at reception so I downloaded the app and after some investigation found out our room number. We had lunch and tried to find space at the main pool which was packed so we went tot the adult pool which was also fully booked and there was no where to sit. The pool staff just basically said sorry and there was nothing to do. We spoke with Amanda and Stephanie at the front desk and they said there is nothing they can do and there really is not anything else to do there on a hot summer day so after 2 hours at the hotel, mostly eating lunch, we checked out. We asked for a refund as the property could not accommodate us with even 1 pool lounge chair, even if we paid extra. They did not offer any refund. Will not be back.

We love the facilities, the only issue was overcrowding at the pool and other areas of the hotel once it was open to the public on July 4th.

The rooms were modern, comfortable, and spotless. Everything felt fresh and well-kept. The restaurants were a highlight — plenty of variety and fun atmospheres to enjoy. Every meal I tried was delicious, with flavors that really stood out. As a local, I can say I’d absolutely come back again

Property is very nice. We enjoyed the pool. The restrooms are clean. Our room was excellent.

The good: dining options, nice pool, easy to get around, very friendly and fun staff The bad: EXPENSIVE parking, EXPENSIVE resort fee, EXPENSIVE food. They try to nickel and dime you for everything in spite of high room rates for the area. Also, the floor of our room was really dirty from the start of our stay, but never cleaned while we were there.

The bedding was nevsr changed. It was disgusting. Pubic hair and stains everywhere. Sat on hold for the front desk for 20 minutes until i had enough. This place has turned into a dumpster fire in the last year

We stayed in a suite facing the road and there was a lot of traffic noise overnight. Woke us up a couple of times.

Beautiful and clean. It was a one night stay, and I thought there were too many add on fees for a quick overnight stay.

- Many plugs in our room did not work - The floor in our room was dirty - There were enough towels in the bathroom. This is the first time I’ve stayed at a hotel that doesn’t have different sizes of towels in the bathroom. - The restaurant by the pool closed too early. We were there at 6 pm and they were already closed. - We got conflicting information from the staff members. It’s as if nobody knows what’s really going on - The WiFi is horrible, even when you enter your information to sign in. The WiFi is even worse in the conference area - The food court is very convenient with so much variety to choose from. However, the food can be a little expensive - The price of the actual hotel is affordable - The water view is beautiful and you can take some breathtaking pictures at sunrise and sunset

The Sunseeker Resort might be one of the best places my wife and I have ever stayed at. It is clean, beautiful, offers a multitude of options for dining, has an impressive pool and is very safe. We stayed in a 3 bedroom suite and were very impressed with the accommodations and the comfort of the suite. We will definitely be returning!

The water wouldn’t get hot for about an hour or so but other then that it was a very nice

The staff was great! Each person we came into contact with was friendly and helpful. The room as very clean and had everything we needed and the view was beautiful.

Everything was amazing about this hotel until our shower started to overflow and they were in our room until 130a trying to fix it and couldnt. They did accommodate us to a different which our keys continued to fail at the door. I felt like they could have accommodated alot more for all the inconvenience.

It's a very lovely resort and wish my family had spent more time there. It's a great place to see the sunrise from. I would highly recommend doing the valet parking. Love the amenities - surprised thing closed early, especially since it's July. Beautiful rooms and spacious. If you're elderly or have any physical disability, it might be a difficult hotel. It's definitely a very spread out campus and requires a lot of walking, even with placement of elevators within individual buildings. .. and I'm not sure how convenient wheelchair ramps would be located.

Another great stay. I visited last year. Staff continue to be very friendly & attentive to clients needs. A beautiful resort with everything one needs to have a comfortable & relaxing experience. Well worth the room rates. The views are amazing & so peaceful facing the harbor. Recommend for a short or long stay. One’s stress levels will decrease dramatically, just by viewing the harbor from one’s room.

Had a little issue and management was all over it. They handled the issue and followed up. Great place, great customer service and we will return for sure.

From the moment we arrived at Sunseeker Resort, we were completely blown away by the warm, welcoming atmosphere and top-tier service. Every single staff member we encountered was kind, professional, and genuinely helpful, creating an experience that was relaxing, enjoyable, and truly memorable. I want to give a special shoutout to Angelina, the Assistant Manager at the front desk. She went above and beyond to make sure our stay was perfect. Angelina was not only incredibly helpful and professional, but also so sweet and thoughtful — she made us feel like VIP guests from start to finish. Whether it was assisting with reservations, answering our questions with patience and care, or simply checking in to see how we were doing, her kindness and attention to detail stood out in the best way. Sunseeker Resort is not only beautiful and luxurious, but the people who work there truly make it a standout destination. We can’t wait to come back!

The hotel & view are beautiful. The service lacked. It took 4 days to get a waiter at the pool to acknowledge us. Our server at Half-cracked could not keep up with her 3 tables she had and kept apologizing for taking so long. The icing on the cake was our first morning when we were greeted at the pool by the attendant telling us all about her period and that’s why it was so tough to do her job. I did report it to the front desk staff who first offered us a $12.50 drink voucher (remember, we were struggling to get service) and said they would pass it on to management to handle. By that time we were checking out.

I was very disappointed with the kinda type of customer service they provide here at the front desk when I arrival yesterday bad attitudes and they don’t care about treating customers with kindness or empathy, they provide me a room first that was not cleaned and super dirty and we I came back to see why they do something like that their response was just like oh sorry and not empathetic but continue with attitude and after I explained regarding my concerns and unhappy she just said if you want I can cancel your reservation and not considering how I felt from the beginning, this front desk agents need better training and management because continue like that this resort will never get better!! I definitely will not come back to this resort after all poor customer service experience and I can continue with more stuff that happen but I rather save my words and not come back again or recommend to friends and family!

Not impressed with the staff or services at all. The room service made one bed, not the other. They never refilled the toilet paper, coffee, sugar or creamers. We had to call down for them to bring them to us. They never “cleaned” the room. They over charged me for 6 nights of valet parking when we were only there for two and the lady at check out knew that but gave me the bill anyways. If I didn’t point it out , they were just going to make me pay it. Apparently you need reservations for the adult pool but that was never told to us until we went to the pool and they said there’s no seats left, they had all been reserved. However the way they said it was rude and made us feel like we weren’t welcome at all. They need training for the staff at the hotel for sure. The amenities were great and food was good. The waitresses around the adult pool ended up being great when we got into the pool.

The entire property has beautiful views of Charlotte Harbor. Great for families!

While i enjoyed the restaurants, staff, and the overall property; it is kind of a remote location with not much to do in the area. Also, Maury's had a great wine selection and cooked my Pittsburgh NY Strip perfectly!

The property was one of the best overall facilities we have ever stayed at. They were still repairing property damage incurred during recent hurricanes. The rooms were very nicely appointed. All the restaurants offered huge, delicious portions that really should be shared if traveling with a companion. We were plagued with a "water boil requirement" during our stay requiring us to use bottles of water for personal hygiene. This affected the "Coffee" shop, hydration stations, ice machines and many other offerings that required ice or water. Ice had to be brought on-site to accommodate the bars and other venues. We had to go off site to purchase ice for in-room cocktails. You could shower and wash hair and face but were advised to avoid opening your mouth. We had to use bottled water to brush our teeth. Hurricanes did a lot of damage in the Punta Gorda area and they were working hard to replace landscaping that had been damaged. This is absolutely a destination resort and we plan to return. One design flaw that resulted in getting wet was that each building has a separate entrance. All special restaurants only had outside entrances. If it were raining, you had to hale one of the on-site, partailly covered scooters to take you from one place to another or walk outside...in the rain. There was also a "cold weather" snap during our stay with temps in the 40's and 50's. It would have been nice to walk from one venue to another throw a connective indoor walkway. Roof top pool/bar!

The property was beautiful. Food options are plentiful. My complaint is the ROAD NOISE. We were unable even use the patio in our one-room suite!!!

The sunseeker is like a Las Vegas hotel in Port Charlotte. There’s no beach but a beautiful, huge pool, the property has a signature scent, several restaurants and a food court with good food, a nice promenade to walk. You definitely need transportation for any offsite activities. Great staff, complimentary water on arrival, very accommodating.

It was an excellent resort. Really Beautiful. Lots of food and beverage options. Pricing was very fair of Room and food. Room was in perfect condition. All of the staff was so very nice and helpful. Pools were spectacular. I hope pricing remains fair in the future.

The Suites are away from main area for pools and most dining options.Overall clean and comfortable, but a little confusing to valet and park.

What I like most about this hotel is its beautiful pool and its location in a very quiet area. I recommend it for a family getaway.

We had a king size bed, which was every comfortable. I would have loved more fluffy pillows. They have 7 nice restaurants and a Food Court with plenty choices, from coffee, pastries, ice cream, pizza, Mexican, seafood, asian and American.

Beautiful property. We really enjoyed our time there. The rooftop pool was awesome. The steak house was absolutely amazing. Make sure to get a harbor view room.

Food is fair , i would be more impressed with a more sophisticated up market dining option.Very nice, actually impressive. Reminds me of a traditional all inclusive resort in the Caribbean.

We had a lovely stay at this resort for a weekend celebrating our anniversary. The room was modern, clean, and very comfortable. The bed was heavenly! We enjoyed the convenience of the pool bar/restaurants and the variety of cuisine at the food hall and beer garden. Unfortunately, the “sports bar” was not open until 5pm - even on the weekend. The wait was so long to get into the stand-alone seafood restaurant on Saturday night that we gave up and had pizza - one of only 2 dining places still open in the food hall at around 9pm. We wanted to have a quick breakfast before leaving on Sunday, but the line was so long at the coffee bar/cafe, and the only other option was basic American breakfast, so we left and ate elsewhere. While it was Mother’s Day and they offered a Mother’s Day buffet (for $70 per person), it would have been nice to have a quicker, less expensive option. I’d suggest more entertainment during the weekend - live music was only offered in the evening at 2 restaurants, which were too crowded to get into. There were bikes available for rent, but entertainment offerings like trivia, karaoke, table tennis, or corn hole would be much more fun. Overall, the rooms, pool, and premises were all wonderful, and we would go back!

The service was excellent. Really loved and enjoyed the harbor yards and other restaurants on the property. The food was wonderful, the ambiance was great and price was reasonable. Highly recommend staying at this resort.

The resort is amazing! Pool area is great! Food court was great people very helpful. The Tiki restaurant will never go again. Staff at restaurant not friendly, steak not cooked properly, was charged 2x. Called them and they said it’s a mess up but won’t be charged. The resort is amazing!
