Best Western L'Aquarium Arras Nord

Spacious and clean, very comfortable, but very cold, there is no thermostat in the room, and the heat appears to turn off at night, making it freezing enough to need coats on indoors in the morning. Noted some trash from previous guests inside cabinets that was missed, the plates/cups cleaned and put away by previous guests were still dirty, clearly not checked.

This was a lovely hotel - clean and well maintained, beautifully decorated with helpful and friendly staff. It's not far from Arras or Lens (both worth visiting) and is in a quiet location. The room was good, large bed and fantastic shower. I would have given it 5 stars but for the fact I had 3 very uncomfortable nights sleep. For some reason, the hotel have put a plastic-coated sheet on top of the mattress topper and directly underneath the bedsheet. I'm a warm sleeper and this just made me sweat so that the sheet ended up damp - and cold in the morning. The last time I slept on a plastic-coated sheet was in hospital so I've no idea why they'd put on on the bed. It was horrible - and sadly spoil my trip. Such as shame for what was, otherwise, a nice long weekend escape to see the Christmas Markets.

Nice apartment but very annoying nosie from the generator outside made it difficult to sleep
