Carlton Hotel Bangkok Sukhumvit

Everything about this hotel is amazing. The rooms are large and spacious, the bed is very comfortable with lovely linens and soft pillows. The air conditioning works really well and floor to ceiling panoramic windows. The bathroom is spotlessly clean, fantastic shower pressure and nice quality toiletries. Nice swimming pool, large gym and a great rooftop bar. All the staff are polite and very professional. well located near the SkyTrain, shopping centres, bars and restaurants _ could not fault the hotel on any way _ loved it

The hotel is fairly new, the rooms are spacious. The swimming pool is good but busy, the fitness center is very nice and I don’t know why it’s not 24 hrs since there is no attendant anyway and it’s accessible by card. The smoking area down in the lobby can use some frequent clean up throughout the day as all the ashtrays are overflowing with cigarette butts. The rooftop restaurant food options are tasty, the breakfast buffet offers good varieties but nothing extravagant and can be very busy. The cafe in the lobby is nice and the hotel location is conveniently located with all kind of restaurants within walking distance.

Overall a good stay with slight negative on the pool bar service being very slow.

Relatively new hotel with awesome rooftop bar and pool. The room accommodations were excellent, obviously updated, from the rainfall shower head to the automatic curtains that would open and close with the push of the button. Perfect area and location in Sukumvit.

Andra gången vi bor här och det är fortfarande lika bra. Otroligt fina rum, trevlig personal, nära till restauranger och kollektivtrafik. Det enda negativa var andra gäster som revirmärkte solstolar vid poolen för att sedan gå och göra något annat. Dålig stil.

Das Zimmer ist perfekt eingerichtet. Die Dusche ist aussergewöhnlich gross und das Duschen ein echter Genuss. Auch das restliche Badezimmer bietet sehr viel Platz und wirkt insgesamt sehr grosszügig. Ein angenehmes Extra ist zudem der Closomat. Das Bett ist hervorragend – weder zu hart noch zu weich – und die Klimaanlage ist angenehm reguliert, ohne direkt auf einen zu blasen. Pool und Fitnessbereich sind top gepflegt. Besonders schön ist auch die Rooftop-Bar, ideal für einen gemütlichen Schlumi am Abend.

We have stayed in many hotels and honestly the staff, cleanness and the services here were top notch! Have nothing to say except THANK YOU for making it great stay for us as it was our anniversary and wife bday present. very friendly staff and room was cleaned daily without even us asking for it. and when i say clean not just regular cleaning services you see, they would fold your cloths and go through the whole thing kinda services daily. honestly amazing and the location to everything was walkable.

What a fantastic hotel! We got a family room on the 21st floor with the most amazing view of Bangkok. The room was big, nice and clean with a lovely bathroom (and a shower that makes you forget you're in Thailand ;)) The breakfast was the best we've ever had. Delicious room service at all times of the day. The service was top notch. Location brilliant. Everything was perfect - we will definitely come back!

The staff were absolutely incredible, never said no and was always available no matter what, I cannot praise this hotel enough, its well worth the extra money, if your coming to Bangkok this is the only choice that should be on your list. We stayed in room 3113 and I would highly recommend anyone ask for a room on that side of the building, maybe ask them before booking which side that is and kindly ask for the same, the higher the better, the view from your room will blow your mind. Thank you to everyone at The Carlton. Clean, Professional, Comfy. An unforgettable experience.

The AC was too cool. Difficult to raise temperature at night. No control. Hard to sleep.

To the good people in this hotel. Really enjoyed my stay. Was very comfortable overall. The rooms look incredible, even for the simplest rooms. I love the high ceiling, the marble tile flooring, the lighting and blinds controls, the walk in shower, Japanese toilet, bathroom curtain operated by a button, and more. It’s great for solo travellers and couples - the standard rooms. Great view. Only issues I’d say were other hotel guests slamming their doors at all hours, and the hair dryer can only be plugged in to an area of the room that doesn’t have a mirror - not the bathroom. Gym was great, can do almost anything and was clean. Pool area was good, too. I did like the breakfast, but I would’ve loved more Thai variety there. Though, I understand many people can’t eat everything.

Toppenhotell som vi varmt kan rekommendera! All personal har ett fantastiskt bemötande oavsett vilken roll de har på hotellet. Alltid ett leende och ett vänligt ord och vi kände oss verkligen välkomna och omhändertagna under hela vår vistelse. Vi bodde i ett Club lounge rum och rekommenderar verkligen det. I den rumskategorin ingår en lounge där det erbjuds kaffe/te och alkoholfri dryck under dagtid och mellan 18.00-20.00 erbjuds även cocktails och andra alkoholhaltiga drycker samt lättare mat. Personalen är jättegulliga och gör allt för att man ska trivas och komma dit igen. Min man fyllde år under vår vistelse och det uppmärksammades både på rummet med bakelse och ett fint handduksarrangemang gjort som en tårta, men även i loungen blev han uppmärksammad med både sång och fika. Väldigt uppskattat att de engagerade sig så trots att han inte fyllde jämnt. Hotellet ligger nära 3 köpcentrum och en kort promenad från tunnelbanan. Nästa gång vi kommer till Bangkok kommer vi utan tvekan att bo på det här hotellet igen.

Totalt sett en av de beste hotelloppholdene noensinne, og vi har bodd på 5-stjerners hotell blant annet på Seychellene, i Shanghai, Hong Kong, flere land i Europa og i USA. Vår housekeeper Suwanna var fantastisk, og gjorde oppholdet ekstra bra. Bra beliggenhet, rent og moderne rom, og bra frokost. Vi fikk også tidlig innsjekk uten å be om det. Her følte vi oss virkelig velkommen.

Stayed for one night as a birthday celebration. Very accommodating staff and provided a nice happy birthday greeting in the room and also a birthday cake at the rooftop. I recommend the club room for a nice view and access to the club lounge on the 33rd floor. Definitely recommend this place

Excellent service

Wow. We’re to start. I’ve stayed at many fine hotels. But this one stands out. First the staff were excellent. They go above and beyond. They bend over backwards to make your stay better. Thank you to especially the boys at their fine pool. They really make you feel special. To management. Who went above and beyond. And to all the rest of the staff.thank you. Excellent service once again.

I had a very bad experience with the front desk team. My booking confirmation clearly stated a 20% discount on dining at the hotel. However, when I showed this to the front desk staff, including the assistant manager, they told me they could not honor the dining discount. Instead of trying to help or investigate why they didn’t receive the information, the assistant manager and staff told me to settle the matter with Expedia myself. I explained that they should contact Expedia directly, rather than pushing the responsibility onto guests, especially when the discount is clearly stated in our booking confirmation. The next day, when we asked for an update, the assistant manager was defensive and rude. She repeatedly said it was not the hotel's responsibility to honor the discount and made it seem like it was our fault for asking them to check with Expedia instead of doing it ourselves. I have never experienced such terrible service from a hotel front desk before. I definitely would not recommend anyone to stay at this hotel, as the front desk, particularly the assistant manager was completely unhelpful. Due to this unpleasant experience, my family didn’t even feel like dining at the hotel. In addition, the bathroom had flooding issues during every shower. The water did not drain properly and would remain pooled on the floor, even after we were done. Soapy water would be all over the bathroom floor, making it slippery and dangerous for guests, a serious safety hazard!

Room was clean. Little far from port. Easy access to train station. Front office, food and beverage staff and cleaning staff was great. One staff was stereotyping all indian clients. Everytime he saw someone indian look alike , he will shake his head imitating indians who shake their head when replying yes or no. I look like an indian but i am not from india and i dont shake my head but he kept doing that to me and my family. I feel the supervisor should look into this. This is a nice hotel and people from all different background come to this hotel. Staff need to be senstive to peoples feelings too. Overall my stay was great

I will never stay at any of Carlton hotels again. I got there at 8 am and was first told that my room will be available at 10 am but then changed it to 12pm. To be sure that I won’t need to go back and forth, I left my luggage and went back at 1:30pm. Then, I was told that instead of one king bed, I will get two smaller beds. I told the staff that I am one person and ordered a king bed. I was told that they dont have such a room available and I needed to make my reservations on the hotel website and not on Orbitz.com. The hair dryer in the room didn’t fit the outlet in the bathroom and water was running in the toilet the whole night. The day after I asked to talk to the manager, PEAT (PISAMAI K.). She didn’t care about my complaint regarding the room type and said this is the way the hair dryer is. Also, she repeated that I needed to make the reservations on the hotel website. I asked that if so, why they have placed their hotel on the third party booking agencies. She had no answers and was quite rude. It is unfortunate that incompetent employees such as her work for such a large establishment. This is the last time I will ever stay at a Carlton hotels for sure. I don’t want to pay so much money and get treated this way!!

This Carlton Hotel was clean, contemporary and comfortable. The buffet breakfast had a lot of selection and was high quality. It’s located near a Skytrain and subway station and within a half kilometre from a few malls. It’s a busy area.

The hotel itself was wonderful. The room was spacious, well designed and had a beautiful view. The staff were extremely kind and forthcoming and both breakfast buffet and room service were great. The only thing that I did not like as much was the location. While there are metro and BTS stations nearby, it is a little far off of the sights that first time Bangkok visitors may want to see. It took me around 45-60 minutes to get to most of the sights I visited. But if you are mostly interested in visiting the malls in Sukhumvit, the Carlton is a great choice.

A very comfortable stay. Great amenities and service. The location is prime, close to great malls, walking distance to Terminal 21, Emporium, EmQuatier and EmSphere.

Great location but the traffic in this area is UNREAL BAD. Walkable to so many cool streets, the big mall, and just overall a great location, very nice hotel, very luxurious, and the staff was amazing to be honest. 10 out of 10 for me and I would stay again for this price. I paid about $150 USD a night for two nights here.

Friendly staff Location

The choice of supplied food in the club house was limited, the taste of food was overall okay , but those Chinese favour is below standard.

Stayed 4 nights. Staff is extremely welcoming, wherever ones goes (room, pool, bar, lobby etc). The place is close to spotless. Impressive. Was at the gym, 2 persons came to clean and check within an hour… Negative for me: despite the huge choice of dishes for breakfast (continental, japanese, korean, indian, soups, omelettes etc), which I tasted quite extensively (and knowing that everyday they alternate the dishes), I found most of dishes lacking taste. I mean, they surely do it on purpose to satisfy most of people, but personally, i would have preferred less options, but better executed. It is not acceptable in Bangkok to eat a boring european style red curry! It should rich, vibrant, with fruits!!! Another minus, the pillows were too big for my taste. The staff was very concerned and found an alternative pillow with memory foam, but not quite the same as fluffy-flatter pillow. Anyway, in spite of these minor issues, I had a lovely stay, and felt very welcome by a concerned team. 8/9 out of 10

Great stay. Very good food at Wok Lah, and the breakfast was amazing.

Mycket fräscha rum, bra frukost även om den är väldigt inriktad på det asiatiska. Att tex få en vanlig engelskfrukost går inte varje dag. Hotellets största nackdel är den enormt dåliga tillgängligheten vid poolen och solstolar. Försöker man ta en solstol på morgonen blir den bortplockad. Kommer man efter 08.30 finns inga stolar kvar heller. Poolrestaurangen tar över 1 h att få Mat i.. Bara att få dryck beställd kan ta upp emot 30 min. Trots det är hotellet mycket fint, trevlig personal, väldigt fina och trevliga ytor. Bra gym för att vara på ett hotell.

The stay was in general fine, but I am very disappointed about the communication and information. When we checked in the receptionist made us think that breakfast was included in our stay (usually I book without since the food options are so good in BKK, but thought that this one just included). It sounded like he told us it was included, also usually when it doesn’t include they would typically tell you how much is charged. However to our surprise, when we had sat down and got food were we given a bill to sign. Not even when we went in and got a table did they tell us clearly that breakfast wasn’t included, there were several occasions to let us know, but no. I would never pay 800 baht/pers + service charge and tax for a breakfast buffet which was so so when there is semaphore 3 min walk away with heaps of food options. Feels like we were tricked. Not that I don’t have the money to pay, but it’s about the principle and lack of information. This annoyed me a lot during the whole stay. We did get 20% off the bill but that was a discount I had in general because of hotels silver membership.

The breakfast buffet menu changed daily, so even after a four-night stay, it never felt repetitive—and the food was excellent. The room on the 32nd floor was quiet and spotless. The complimentary cleaning service (two items per person per day) was also a great help.
