Great location!, clean environment, great kids activities offered by the hotel! Enjoyed the amenities! Hotel restaurant could offer better food options on prep and taste.

You have access, not just to this hotel, but 2 2 surrounding hotels as well. There are family friendly activities in all of these hotels that are accessible to all guests. - s’mores, outdoor movie night, tie die, sand art etc.

Wonderful hotel with many eating and drinking opportunities. Location on the beach with a real resort with very attentive service at the pool.

Room was changed upon arrival even though I booked it month prior to the date. Mobile check in does not work and took forever to get towels upstairs. TV was extremely laggy and I had to physically restart it five times in order to make it work. Keep in mind the EV charging is five dollars an hour and it charges about 21 miles per hour.

Love the outdoor infinity pool with lounge floats. Beautiful beach with nice beach set ups available. Room was nice as well.

We enjoyed the facilities and amenities such as the gym, pools, and lawn games. What I didn’t enjoy is that outside food is not allowed, we didn’t want to leave the property due to the parking lot filling up early and often. The restaurant options in the resort are pricey, a bottle of water is $10. There are additional fees from parking, resort fee, chairs and umbrellas in the beach. I wasn’t made aware that the resort fee covered activities and events at the resort. We found out on our second day and all the activities were booked out several days ahead. At check in the person was quick to check me in with no guidance or service. Overall my kids loved the space and the rooms. Beds were comfortable and rooms were a good size. No complaints there.

We had a terrific time at the Marriott down at VA Beach. It felt very much like a high end resort with plenty of ammenities. My only negative feedback was the cost to charge my Honda Prologue EV was astronomical. Like, almost absurd. I guess that's life at a hotel, but it was a bit of a shocker.

The elevators were not reliable for the first two days of our stay, but were reliable for the final two days. That was the biggest issue. We love this location, and make it our go-to when we come into Virginia Beach.

The nicest hotel on the beach. Everything you need is right there. The only complaint is the lack of access to the nicer pool in the middle of the property.

We had a very good stay at The Marriot. Very clean, staff was super friendly and professional. Pool is nice just small . Overall a place I would stay again .

We really liked our room and the view. Housekeeping forgot to clean our room one of the days which was frustrating because we were gone all day and came back to a room with no towels.

We loved it. Felt like I was in the Bahamas on a secluded island. Relaxing, clean, good food, good service, Adirondack chairs to watch the beach--oh yeah, the beach!! We will come back next October!

Our bed sheets were dirty like never changed, bathroom had mold and was also dirty I bought cleaning stuff. We had no phone that worked so when I wanted to call front desk o needed to walk there. And they gave us half a roll of toilet paper. I usually love this hotel but it has gone downhill since then and I’m not sure I will ever stay here again.

This Marriot is extremely clean and in a great location! Definitely, one of the best hotels in the area in Virginia Beach.

Floors in the room were filthy! Always are. I wear socks, after I shower and they’re dirty before I get in bed. The rooms also reek of wet clothing…a humidifier or moisture filter should be added to the HVAC…at times it smalls moldy.

My husband and I came here for his birthday. Overall the stay was very good. The room we stayed in was a king with an ocean view. The bed was not comfortable at all it was very firm and the A/C would not get below 71 degrees in the room. The pool water was also very cloudy. We would come back but for the price of the rooms and the resort fees we just expected more.

I paid for a single bed balcony and it was horrible view and to noisily for a Big A/C unit

My only negative is the balcony Situation , you have to share your balcony with strangers and I’m not a fan of that choice. Would Oove some privacy on that area of the balcony. Everything else is top of the line.

The Hotel was bright and clean, restaurants had good service. Rooms were basic, beds were hard, wish it was better mattresses. The oceanfront view was nice.

View was of air conditioners, room clean, area good, staff good- clearly hotel does not like bookings from service providers.

I have always wanted to stay in this hotel, it looked great from the outside. But two big problems-1.) the room was super cold, and I tried upping the gauge with no luck. I ended up asking for two blankets and not being able to do much in my room. 2.) I had a balcony and was excited about it, but could only hear air conditioners running. I assumed the breakfast restaurant would be full because the hotel was full, but walking past it saw their was a buffet-advertise that! The staff was really helpful.

Loved that the property was on the beach front, and the layout of the room. However there is no microwave, and the fridge doesn’t stay closed. The internet seems to come in and out throughout the day as well.

This hotel is in an amazing location, well-maintained, and beautifully designed and decorated. So why not 5 stars? Two reasons. 1) I hate to be petty, but the shower, though beautifully designed, was poor. There was hardly any water pressure, and the water was not hot! Given the cost of the place and how perfect everything else was here, this seemed to be an odd but still unfortunate annoyance after a long day of work. 2) The cost of parking is high, and it seems that every time you come/go, you are charged again. Parking over a few day period added up to $150. Were it not for this, we most certainly would have planned to return for a leisure trip. This hotel is a gem--the lack of a hot shower notwithstanding.

This was a very nice property oceanfront. I had a beautiful view of the ocean. My only complaint was that Netflix was not working very well. It was very glitchy. Also nothing to do with the hotel but the naval jets flying overhead was frequent and extremely loud.

Room was not ready when we got there at 330. Was told we would receive a text when room was ready. At 405 still no text. Website says check in is 4pm. Had to go to front desk to be able to get room at appropriate time.

Service doesn't add up to the price.

During our stay we were excited to take a shower after a long New Year’s Eve night. We were sad to discover that there was 0 hot water and also very poor water pressure. I wasn’t even able to wash my hair. We were there with 3 other couples (all had our own rooms) we were hanging out in one of the rooms and our music ended up being a tad too loud (ok we understand and except that.) where our issue comes from is that instead of calling to ask us to turn it down, or even knock on the door, the security guard used a key and WALKED in the room unannounced!! That is ABSOLUTELY NEVER ok. Not only is this dangerous to the security guard, but also your paying guests.

We loved the hotel its corner panoramic rooms and the comfort. We also loved the two pools and uncrowded beach. The problem is the staff needs training. I purchased two rooms for my family and gave them my card as requested. In the middle of the trip my brothers room was locked with no notification or explanation. When we checked the front desk they said it was because no card was given. I gave them my card again and they unlocked the room. I have never heard of such a thing and the hotel is very lucky I’m retired. I reviewed hotels and another travel entities for almost 50 years. This is a first. A manager was notified and was horrified but it ended there.

I was really impressed with Tori when we checked in. We were traveling with our 90 year old mother and wanted adjoining rooms or rooms on the same floor. Tori took the time to make sure our needs were fulfilled. A true Rockstar and the perfect start to our wonderful vacation.

We booked a room, but when we arrived, it was not available. The luggage service was poor when we arrived, and when we were leaving, they never showed up. Hardly a luxury resort.

3rd time we have been to Marriott Bonvoy. It's always good. One thing,the ice machine wasn't making ice on our floor 12th. That's my only complaint otherwise, everything was great.The pool staff is the greatest. Emir and the french Lady,loved her+

The people at the resort were very accommodating with me when I had a medical emergency. They sent Security up , his name was Travis and he was more than helpful save the day.👏👏

The hotel having what is essentially a private beach and outdoor seating area for those who are sand averse was wonderful. It is a bit far (walking distance) from external dining and activities if you aren’t prepared to walk a mile round trip or so. (Not bad for us, but something others may want to know). Check in was a bit rough over Labor Day weekend. The room I had reserved over a month prior was not available; I was given no information about the hotel or facilities and was only provided breakfast vouchers and information on facilities and activities on a second stop at the check in the following morning. As a recommendation again for others, if you would like to dine at the resort restaurants, I’d say to book the reservations when you book the stay to ensure times you can go, as they were mostly booked solid upon arrival, even after the Labor Day Monday.

It was a nice location right on the beach. Good dinning options. Only drawback are the Navy Jet training missions that go on through the day but everything else is good.

The property is the place to go when you’re looking for peace and quiet. Not the normal boardwalk or beach traffic.

There were lots of great food options and reasonable prices!

Marriott provided enhanced precautions to ensure safety and privacy. Orion's roof had an amazing atmosphere, food and staff. We scream ice cream & coffee shop, ice cream and cookie were tasty. Customers had clean area, positive happy staff at most places on site. The gift shop had fun and interesting items. Lulu breakfast was good, great staff. Improvement suggestions: Sunday music around the property was too loud. For a Friday or Saturday understandable. Folks may prefer to hear the sound of the ocean to relax. In the room there was a table stand that was really old and tarnished. Was surprised to see that since this Hotel is relatively new. There was a nice cleaning lady who did not speak English nor could she read... This could create a problem since there was a disinfectant wipe near the makeup remover. Someone could get hurt. I was nervous with the young cleaning lady's safety with other male workers who were present on my floor with no other female worker around. I could tell she was nervous so I informed an elderly man working at the pool so she would be safe. Prior to that I kept going back & forth to check on her. I called mgr. The parking garage had great lighting. The parking payment was not easy to understand so folks could be overcharged and not realize it. I was lucky b/c a hotel staff member explained the costs. A hotel receipt was not automatically provided upon check out. Make sure you ask for receipt or check your email to reconcile your costs.

The property is quite pretty and the beach is wonderful. Rooms were well kept as was the lobby, but the pool was a bit of a mess. People "held" chairs all day long with dirty towels and drinks all over the place. There was nowhere to sit if you wanted to watch your kids. Tulu had wonderful servers (Melinda and Kathy!) but the food is fair to good. Seaside Grille was poor. We were sat ten minutes after our reservation and then waited 25 minutes for someone to take our order. The drinks were great but the food was, again, fair.

Perfect hotel for any season!!! Best sushi on penthouse level with amazing view!!! Rooms are good sized and hotel common areas are fabulous!

Luxury stay! My husband and I enjoyed thr Orion restaurant, the beach, the pool, breakfast, the bar, our room- all wonderful.

The food at the restaurant was not very likesble

Great hotel, I would have been completely satisfied if Tulu wasn’t so time consuming. It took forever to be recognized for a drink and even longer for breakfast. Once I got breakfast it was completely wrong. I couldn’t believe the inaccuracies with both meals. I would go back to the hotel, but not necessarily the restaurant.

The breakfast is triable the food was cold when we complied about the eggs was cold the server said it comes this way and that after we wait 45 minutes to get seated

The panaromic room is small. Bathroom is small. Toilet was not working. Staff in general not very friendly or nice. Tulu breakfast is not good quality , service is horrible at TULU. Deck was great - very good food and very good staff. Orion roof - food quality was below par for the price , staff very rude. Hunt room was not good, bar attenders not good service. Pool is not heated. Overall 2 stars

Rooms are fantastic. Restaurant at the beachfront is super good and drinks are very good. Roof top restaurant was a disappointment due to the lack of professionalism for our server….just Woukd serve us without ID and we are all In our 50’s….laws aside it’s really important in how you deliver the message….common sense must prevail. Oh well, hotel Is beautiful and rooms are awesome.
