The property itself and the view were amazing. Le Plage was also a great restaurant. Hotel has a nice antique look but could use some upgrades (carpets and bathrooms) Staff could be a little friendlier and paying cash at the pool (no atm on property or digital payment option) is inconvenient. Also there is no private beach (short drive to paid beach) as hotels.com states. Overall loved the hotel and would definitely return.

This stay was adorable and it was very cool to stay in such a historic building. You have a great view from the back area and you’re right next to the golf pro house if you interested. Breakfast was also very good. Be prepared for old building quirks ( no elevator and old style) but it was very well kept!

Beautiful setting on the water and a golf course. It's like staying in a room at the country club. The receptionist was a bit grumpy and a master of two word sentences, and the restaurant/bar was closed so if you arrive after 9 be prepared to go straight to your room and hole up for the night. But overall a pleasant surprise to find such a nice place.

Lovely accommodations. Very comfortable room, extra-cushioned bed was cozy. At first I thought the a/c would disturb me but I forgot all about it. Limited view in Room 111 but glimpse of ocean. Excellent restaurant with exceptional service. Very nice outdoor patio. Room lacked desk. Beautiful manicured grounds.

An unexpected overnight (flat tire on a Sunday) in Connecticut was made not just simple but lovely thanks to this charming, old-school inn. Most beautiful location on the water in a very quiet location on a golf-course/park/ocean front (great area for a post-drive walk), wonderful on-site restaurant, lovely staff, and clean, simple room.

We spent a lovely night at this charming inn. Parking was easy and close by, the staff was gracious and welcoming, everything was clean and tidy. The continental breakfast was very traditional. We dined at the onsite La Plage and had delicious craft cocktails and a wonderful meal (thank you to Ariana in particular for excellent service). The location is gorgeous and the rooms have individual temperature control.

This was a very scenic drive up to the property but pretty much everything else was disappointing. Our bathroom sink leaked water on the ground all night. Staff seemed pretty annoyed when I would ask questions. The complimentary grab and go breakfast was great and the best part. Would not stay here again sorry to say.

The Inn was magnificently decorated for Christmas. The check in staff was so friendly and accommodating. The room was spacious and very tidy and comfortable. Lots of lovely toiletries. The inclusive breakfast was absolutely delicious with organic products. Highly recommend.

This classic, historic property was exactly what I needed after a long day of travel. It was sparkly clean, warm and the rooms are absolutely well-appointed. The front desk manager provided a large carafe of hot water for me to have tea in my room and he was very helpful. The large and healthy breakfast options included fresh fruit salad, bagels, fresh eggs, and many other things to start the day well. I loved my stay!

Property was beautiful. Rooms a bit dated. Visited in the winter when we were not able to take advantage of the waterfront. There was a restaurant on site which we did not patronize. Other dining options require several miles drive. Bathroom was large. Room faced restaurant exhaust fans. Thought this was the cause of the loud buzz all evening until it shut down and then realized the mini fridge in the closet was to blame. Took quite a bit of time to get the room to a comfortable temperature due in part to the old style thermostat. We left before breakfast was served.

off season right on the ocean went during the week. price was great beautiful sunset and and sunrise. the restaurant is pricey. but there’s plenty of restaurants near by. the rooms are very big beds we’re comfortable

Stayed over after attending a function. Very quaint inn, comfortable but not modern. No elevator which was fine as I only had a bag. Large bathroom. Nice river view though some of it was obstructed. Bed a little too soft but manageable. Basic continental breakfast. Only issue was TV wasnt wking. Went to callto front desk and found phone not wking. Went downstairs and front desk came up and couldnt fix either. Offered another room but had only 1 bed and I needed 2 so we stayed in org room.

The room 211 was quiet, cozy, spacious, had great potential but really dated and shabby. Bed was super comfortable, had great linen. Room had a lack of furniture despite of big space. Should have deck of coffee table instead of 3 nightstands. Housekeeping was quick and inconspicuous. At the sane time no staff during breakfast in dining room, no one to ask for help. Poor food variety on breakfast buffet.

Room temperature was near 50 F upon arrival. Turned up all heaters, but still took 2-3 hours to get to normal room temperature (65-70 F). A nice touch would have been to ensure normal room temperature in guest rooms before guests arrive. Just a suggestion...

The man at the front desk was rude and very unhelpful. We would have booked another night had he not said if we didn’t during the day they’d probably get booked. Unfortunately had to exit after 1 night

It’s in a beautiful location, but sadly needs upgrading. It just feels tired like grandma’s house. The view is amazing, but you have to look at it over a fairly ugly roof. Lots of potential needs an investor.

The staff and property were lovely. The setting is absolutely stunning. The room and bathroom were large, with antique furniture. It was very charming, comfortable, and relaxing. You can use the facilities where the hotel is located, and it’s about a 30 minute walk from the beach.
