The hotel and staff were great. The pool was fantastic. I was disappointed that the shuttle didn’t pick up from the airport. Also the only place to eat was the roof top restaurant. I was expecting the cafe to be open in the evening.

Did a very short stay - in late and out early. Airport shuttle is free but only one way - To the airport, not from. Desk lady was not very helpful when I asked for ice for an injury I had - good eco-friendly, but wouldn’t figure out how to get me an ice pack. The room service guy brought me a bucket of ice and then found a plastic bag to help me - much better customer care.

No one is ever smiling, never heard a good morning, good day.. not very welcoming.. Not the reception, not the breakfast waiters, nor the security at the front, not the cleaning guys.. as if they're under over stress.. generally result of hostile boss or management. I booked this hotel for location, gym and pool: Gym! Wow they charge 50aed per day for Gym! How ridiculous is this... Location: always traffic, weird corner the building is in. But close to airport and main roads. Pool: is great roof top and mezzanine.. Will avoid staying there again.

Positives + free shuttle + short distance to DXB + fair price + ok+ sized rooms Negatives - The shuttle only departs every hour at night. - Breakfast is very limited and not the greatest. - rooms are very cold and high humidity. The hallways and the hotel room were dirty and poorly maintained, there was also a pervasive smell of cigarette smoke in a non-smoking room/level. Many of the staff we interacted with were unfriendly (with 2 notable exceptions) and when we checked out early (to stay in another cleaner hotel) the staff member on reception did not even enquire how our stay had been

I traveled from USA it was my first experience with Ibis Garhoud, In my 5 days stay I have changed my room 3 times .first time I found cockroach next to my bed , 2nd time power went down in my room they fixed when I came back from shopping I found ac water was dipping bad from the roof it was a night time the maintenance guys suggested me to change the room I was shocked the Philippino lady at the reception was rude she did not even apologize had no smile on her face seems like she hate her job,Did not even made an eye contact was too busy using her computer I asked for a shift manager she replied he will get back to you ,heads up for the day the shift manager he was too helpful when I found cockroach in my room he walked to my room also helped me to change my room.

Rooms are ok and in good condition. Be aware that for some rooms (or all?) there is no separation between the bathroom area and the bedroom. The shower door opens right into the bedroom area so if you need privacy it is limited to the space within the shower. Breakfast was underwhelming and there were issues with clearing tables and resetting cutlery. Hotel is walk able from metro station but starting to the stretch the limit of walking with suitcases especially in the heat and over the brick sidewalks.

The only issue we faced was the air conditioning of our room. It wasnt working properly. When we complained someone from the technical staff came and informed us that it would be resolved but it was never resolved. Rest everything went great

The shuttle was non existent, as a solo female traveller who waited from 1.15am to 2am (waiting outside so it was so hot) I gave up and got an uber. The shuttle came for all the other airport hotels, one came twice. The AC didn’t work, I set it to 18C but it never got below 23. There’s only an overhead shower, and no shower cap so good luck if you don’t want to get your hair wet. The breakfast is ok, I saw photos of great looking coffee but that is a separate shop which is not included.

The welcome reception by Mr. Haris and Mr. Syeed was excellent. Their smiling faces and willingness to offer help, even without being asked - was a great gesture. I must especially highlight my multiple interactions with Mr. Haris; he was consistently professional, highly accommodating, and a true asset to the team. Housekeeping staff were also efficient and courteous, which added to the overall positive customer experience. That said, in a few instances, I observed some managerial-level staff (judging by their attire) who appeared to take customers lightly. They did not smile - perhaps due to being overwhelmed and at times did not take the extra step to guide or resolve minor issues. While these were rare occurrences do not overshadow my overall positive impression, management should take note of such small lapses. In a competitive market, especially during off-peak seasons when it is truly a customer’s market, these details can make a difference. Finally, Room 343 offered a reasonably good view, but it was not ideal for sound sleep, as the nearby metro trains serve as a constant reminder that life in Dubai is always vibrant! 😩

This Ibis hotel is terrible!! Check in was chaotic. I called earlier in the day to see if it would be possible to check in earlier and they said no, check in is 2pm. At no point did they mention rooms would not be ready on time. So I arrived at 2:30pm and it was manic. 6 people were standing around asking when their rooms would be ready. I finally got my room key and left. I got to the room to find there was 1 towel, no water, no hangers, hair dryer was not working and some lights did not work. The next day, before I left the hotel for the day, I requested my room be cleaned. I arrived back to find my room had not been cleaned. To make up for all the inconvenience, the manager offered me a complimentary buffet dinner. I went down for dinner at 8:30pm and there was literally no food left at the buffet. When I asked if the buffet would be replenished, none of the staff knew. I left and went to reception and told them there was no food but many people standing around waiting. I was told it was just replenished. So I went back and they had replenished 2 dishes but a big rush to try and get at the dishes. I left as I did not feel like fighting for food. This is the worst hotel, I would not recommend!!

Checked in by Rain at 2 in the morning and she was amazing, friendly and helpful! Bed and bedding so comfortable, rainfall shower that has moveable head was so great, room spacious and airy. Free water and lovely towels! Breakfast was delicious and nice variety. An overall great stay, highly recommend! Well done!

Unfortunately, we were surprised to hear at the reception at 1 o’clock in the morning that our reservation was canceled because they have difficulties credited with the bank. The hotel was fully booked as well as all the surrounding hotels and we have a hell of time to find a room at that time of the night… that was really unprofessional and unpleasant attitude for a well-known hotel chain.

Unfortunately, we were surprised to hear at the reception at 1 o’clock in the morning that our reservation was canceled because they have difficulties credited with the bank. My booking was canceled for this hotel since it was late check in after 6pm. But the hotel staff never mentioned this once during booking or even when I called to enquire about the booking. They straight rejected to give a room when we came at 3 am in the night extremely tired, but there was no concern from the hotel staff none so ever.

Convenient location from airport and metro. However, not convenient to get from airport to hotel even it’s 15 min walk distance but it’s not possible to walk. Not sure about metro, because when we called from airport to hotel asking for suggestions how to get there, the only answer was taxi.

This Ibis hotel is terrible!! Check in was chaotic. I called earlier in the day to see if it would be possible to check in earlier and they said no, check in is 2pm. At no point did they mention rooms would not be ready on time. So I arrived at 2:30pm and it was manic. 6 people were standing around asking when their rooms would be ready. I finally got my room key and left. I got to the room to find there was 1 towel, no water, no hangers, hair dryer was not working and some lights did not work. The next day, before I left the hotel for the day, I requested my room be cleaned. I arrived back to find my room had not been cleaned. To make up for all the inconvenience, the manager offered me a complimentary buffet dinner. I went down for dinner at 8:30pm and there was literally no food left at the buffet. When I asked if the buffet would be replenished, none of the staff knew. I left and went to reception and told them there was no food but many people standing around waiting. I was told it was just replenished. So I went back and they had replenished 2 dishes but a big rush to try and get at the dishes. I left as I did not feel like fighting for food. This is the worst hotel, I would not recommend!!

The hotel and staff were great. The pool was fantastic. I was disappointed that the shuttle didn’t pick up from the airport. Also the only place to eat was the roof top restaurant. I was expecting the cafe to be open in the evening.

Problemi al momento del check in perché lunga attesa. Poi non sono riuscito a mangiare al ristorante dell’hotel Mercure a causa dei lunghi tempi di attesa. Dopo 50 minuti di attesa al ristorante ho deciso di alzarmi e non cenare più. Dalle 21.10 che sono arrivato ancora alle 22.05 non era arrivato né antipasto e nemmeno il main course.

I had a bad experience at this hotel. The room did not have proper air conditioning, and the toilet was visibly in the room with only a slightly transparent open door. The shower had cold water, which was disappointing. The breakfast was okay, but the selection was very limited for 13 American dollars. One positive thing of the hotel is that it is close to the airport and Dubai Metro, which is convenient. I will definitely not stay there again. Saad Hashi
