Ka´ana Surf

For a luxury hotel, it wasn't the cleanest. We found it a bit overpriced based on the overall hospitality. The swimming pools were nice and the location was right next to the beach.

A fantastic, central location, on the beach just a short walk to everything, yet peaceful & quiet. The entire property is gorgeous & feels luxurious. The pools in particular are amazing. Get there now.

This is a gem of a property in a unique surfing village at the edge of the world. An adventure to get to and a throw back to simpler times. Everyone is friendly and helpful and the food is amazing. Ocean views from the rooms, two beautiful pools, and a roof top Jacuzzi along with a wonderful on site restaurant make this a great choice. Lots of walkable options for food and drink or jump in a Tuktuk for a fun way to travel. Hotel Ka'ana is wonderful!

The staff is consistent and considerate, We dont speak spanish but we always work it out, Maintenence does a great job pools and landscaping are beautifully cared for. front desk staff and kichen and servers, always have a smile and kindness. I was here in February and came back to Kaana surf for a week, because they do an amazing job!

Very nice property overall. Not actually on the beach but very close with a few houses, (Bunga Loose) being in front and blocking much of the views. Staff is absolutely great. We had ocean views with a private rooftop plunge pool. Would stay again.

Great stay in el Paredon / would recommend. It was private and clean. The pool was the best of all the hotels I visited.

Hot tub was not working but, they fixed in order for us to use it

We loved the second pool. You could hang out all day because it was shaded and had benches to sit on underwater.

Our room with a water view was great. Like most rooms it had sliders to a balcony but also had a private terrace with a soaking pool. Nice. The hotel’s two pools and jacuzzi are a plus… as is the fact that at the ocean can actually be entered and enjoyed unlike other areas of the beach. Watching the surfers is a treat. The staff is accommodating and friendly. The restaurant is good. The two fish dishes we had for dinner were excellent as was our breakfast choices. We will be back. It was a very enjoyable time.

Service was poor and the rooms did not meet what was described online. The power went out for over 12 hours and there was no water in the until. Ants, mosquitoes and flys were in the room and bed. I would not recommend to ever stay here

Very nice location. Spacious and clean room. Staff very friendly. Meals in restaurant very good but not that much options.Very fine stay but kitchen and most restaurants in the neighbourhood close very early around 20.00 u.

Great stay in el Paredon / would recommend. It was private and clean. The pool was the best of all the hotels I visited.

The property was overall nice but there is very limited view of the ocean as most of the property is blocked in front by new buildings. The website shows older pictures that do not show the new buildings blocking the view and there is continued new construction creating a mess to walk through from the Ka’ana gate to the beach. This wouldn’t have been so disappointing if they were honest in their advertisement and description of the property and rooms. I paid a premium price for a master suite with ocean view. There was no view of the ocean at all. They did move us to a smaller room on the end where you could see the ocean (also overlooking the cemetery!) but they still charged us for the full price of the master suite AND more because they had a higher conversion rate from Quetzals to USD ( I was charged about $60 more than the price I booked for and was given a room that should have been $50 less per night) I was originally told we would be charged the lesser rate but they didn’t follow through. As well, the room needed cleaning, we had to ask for towels, and to have the sheets changed (they had ink marks on the pillow cases). They did attend to the cleaning needs quickly when we asked, but I shouldn’t have had to ask! The staff were very nice and helpful. They made the stay good (thanks Emily and Jose!) But due to the poor management (mgr did not compensate or show any care about the overcharge), lack of cleanliness, and false advertising, I would caution booking here.

Realice la reservación y el pago por Hoteles.com y no me hospedaron en la habitación que pague necesito mi dinero de vuelta. Pague dos noches en un Penthouse y solo me dieron un cuarto doble para una noche y la siguiente noche me pidieron que me fuera porque no tenían espacio Arruinaron mis vacaciones

Buen servicio pero la habitacion tenia fuerte olor a humedad y no funciono correctamente el aire acondicionado.

Beautiful 40 feet from the restaurant to the beach. The room we stayed in was beautifully decorated. Simple but perfect

The price point was too high for its location, during my visit there was construction, so the noise was ever present. Upside is the very short walk to the beach.

Great property. It is not adult-only per Expedia. Kids/families are welcome. The reception can organize activities for you to do. Food is fresh and delicious. Staff is very friendly and accommodating

The staff is so nice and helpful, I will recommend to hotel to anyone who wants to rest in a quiet hotel, food at the restaurant was amazing, Salvador the Supervisor excellent and Jose the restaurant supervisor amazing, there is nothing bad or wrong about the Hotel, my suggestion to Salvador will be tips should be individually instead of putting the tips in a Jar at the front desk

es un hotel bonito y cómodo, pero hay varias construcciones alrededor y al frente actualmente. Las del frente le han quitado vista al mar a las habitaciones del 2º piso.

Construction by the beach and lots of trash there. Not the hotels fault. Everything about Kaana Surf was perfect. People doing Construction should clean there area

The moment you get to the property and walk around, you feel vacation, relaxation and I don’t want to go anywhere. The food was amazing prepared by chef Ruth.
