Excellent staff!! From check-in to breakfast. Rooms clean and beautiful. Only negative the Hot tub was out of order. Nice game room, my grandson had a blast.

The staff at the hotel was absolutely amazing! The continental breakfast food and staff were the best we’ve had. The only area of the hotel that was difficult was the lack of parking.

Parking description that says “on-site parking” is misleading. The hotel doesn’t have it’s own parking lot for guests. You can only park in the city-owned public parking lots that are across the street, at the end if the block, and on the next block. These have no security whatsoever, and this is in a pretty bad area. We were driving to move across the country with a car full of belongings. We booked a room just before midnight, based on the description that stated on-site paid parking. Arrived less than two hours later, only to find that there is in fact no on-site parking. There is only a 15-minute temporary parking in front of the hotel, and the lot that is right next to them is reserved for their employees, they do not allow guests to park there. Given our situation, we didn’t stay, didn’t even get room keys. They said they couldn’t refund the money ($190) because it was reserved through Expedia. We went to another hotel 15 minutes away that had a secured on-site parking lot. After me going back and forth with Expedia, and Expedia talking with the hotel, the hotel flat refused to refund the reservation. Expedia, however, understood the situation and compensated us with OneKeyCash. The Expedia support agent agreed that this behavior by the hotel, especially in this particular situation, was quite unethical. So, beware!

Loved the rooftop bar, pool, game room. Plenty of food options

The property was wonderful, but parking was confusing and hard to find. They either need designated hotel parking or a valet service.

It was fine. I was expecting more. The staff was super nice, the breakfast was good... The reception snacks... A giant bowl of gardettos with hummus was weird. The hot tub was out of order (which was what we were most bummed about) and the pool was freezing. Was also surprised by the parking situation. Not clear, not super close... Like I said, staff was all very nice, the hotel itself just didn't feel worth the $250 price tag. Won't be staying again.

The room was great and the front desk was very helpful. Even received complimentary bottles of water for being a HH member. The coffee pot sucked and there was only public pay-to-park, no free hotel lot.

Parking was a little different, and was bummed the rooftop bar (outside) wasn’t open. Was a fun trip though and would definitely stay here again. Service from one bartender was non- existent at the upstairs bar however, our server in the downstairs restaurant was amazing.

It's a Wonderful location with a rooftop dining option and a very updated style. The only down side is the parking is not on property. $17/day.

Loved the room I stayed in but no bottled water which I thought was odd for a 4 star hotel and a prior guest had left over pizza and the cleaning person never threw it away. I discovered it while looking in fridge, cupboards, cabinets looking for bottled water.

Large room with big bathroom, super comfy bed, soft towels- and all very clean. There are good options for dinner in the too floor restaurant or easy walking to restaurants and coffee shops. Lovely staff, very helpful. And it’s very quiet and well insulated- I stayed here the same time as a big group of dance moms and their kids. Never heard them.

Interesting historic building. The room was dirty with food on the floor and furniture, the maid removed our used towels and did not replace them, we were charged for parking on a free weekend day; the front desk staff seemed unconcerned about these issues.

The hotel is outstanding. Clean , great staff , safe and great dining.

This hotel was wonderful. Very clean and quiet. The complimentary breakfast was delicious. I enjoyed both restaurant options. The staff was courteous. The only complaints I have are limited parking options and the shower gel dispenser came off of the wall and was not fixed the two days I was there but those are minor issues. Overall I had a fantastic stay.

The inside property and rooms was very clean, besides the outside front had food thrown all over! It was very cold so it is understandable as to why as it was not cleaned up. Called the hotel directly for early check in and was on hold for 25 minutes just be put on hold again!

Did not engage in the hotel amenities except breakfast, which was perfect for a vegetarian. The room was spotless and very quiet. Would return.

We had a corner room facing the river and it was AMAZING!! The room was clean, the bed was very comfortable - the whole vibe was home-like and fancy. It was a bit pricey but absolutely worth it!

Very clean with superb views

This is a very nice hotel with spectacular views and spacious rooms. Some of the furniture is a little worse for wear. The bedside table had a large, worn-out spot, and the drapes didn't close in one part of the room. However, the bed was very comfortable, and plenty of room to hang out, very accessible, and the restaurants inside were good.

Impossible to sleep in a room with constant noise coming from the vents. Maintenance came to try and help but i think he's heard this before about room 515. We didn't realize how loud it was until we turned off the tv about 1030. By then the kids were sleeping and i wasn't about to wake them up, pack up our stuff and move to another room. They offered, but it was 11pm by then. Very disappointing. The rest of the hotel is nice. It's worthless though if you don't get any sleep.

The suite view was the rooftop with equipment. Very noisy.

Had an amazing steak dinner in the restaurant, and drinks in the penthouse bar. The complementary breakfast served up omelets, made to order, as well as boast of other items. If I ever return to this area, I will surely stay here again!

Our room was really spacious, and super clean. Personally I would've appreciated a bit more light in the dining area of the room, but everything was great. We enjoyed our stay very much. Thank you!

Staff was accommodating and friendly. Air conditioning did not work. Room was 80 degrees. We were told by front desk that a service technician would come take a look but no one ever showed up. Also phone in room did not work?

Dim and poorly lit room. Windows were way above eye level so we couldn’t see outside, and it didn’t help with the lighting either. No dresser for clothes storage. No freezer compartment in fridge. Bizarre elevator system with floor selection on outside of the elevator only that everyone using the elevator complained about. Parking was far away. Service was good but there were just too many basic things that were not right.

Late night staff on Friday July 25 was very rude.

It was great, person who helped us at checkout had zero personality, but the nice lady who checked us in was great. The hotel was wonderful, very nice breakfast, the staff at the breakfast were very friendly. So was the bartender the night before. Will stay here again for sure.

Stay would have been perfect if the front counter help had explained the elevator system. Once a guest explained it to us, we had a great time.

The hotel room was nice, but it would’ve been nice if tv in bedroom swiveled, & blackout curtains did not close all the way. The worst part of our stay was the rude service we received by staff at the “evening reception”. The waiter was so rude! After he seated us, we ordered an appetizer, because the snacks were just that, snacks, popcorn, cheese crackers, fruit, & we got our complimentary drinks. He was just very snooty, & before we had even decided if we were going to order more food, he brought us our check, without even asking if we wanted anything else! Missed opportunity for him! Also, we had come to a trivia night, at the rooftop bar a few nights earlier, & our waitress there was so rude as well! We sat at our table for at least 25 mins before putting in our drink order, & when we were done, & asked her to take our check w/ credit card, she rudely said she’d be there in a minute, even though she was at another table right by ours. The rooftop bar seems to try to be more upscale, but their staff was totally unprofessional & rude, no wonder it wasn’t very crowded? I will say the staff at front desk were wonderful! As a resident of Rockford, who try’s to support downtown businesses, I’m super disappointed if this kind of poor service, is what we are portraying to out of town patrons, as it doesn’t put Rockford’s downtown in a very good light, unfortunately! I would expect any hotel, but especially an Embassy Suites, to have exceptional service staff?

The staff was willingly helpful, courteous, and professional. No matter what staff member (front desk, breakfast staff, bar staff) made it a pleasurable experience. The attention to detail, as far as cleanliness and aesthetics, was evident that serious thought is included, in all operations. Great job, Team!!!

The hotel was on par with all other hotels of its scale. It was clean and comfortable, and had everything as advertised. One thing in particular caused this hotel to excel: the people! From the moment we arrived we were greeted and assisted by very welcoming and helpful staff members. Everyone we encountered throughout the building had time to assist when needed with seemingly genuine smiles, patience, and kindness. If we were just walking and encountered staff, they acknowledged us in a friendly, respectful manner. If I return to Rockford, the Embassy is my hotel of choice. They made us feel like special and honored guests. The complimentary breakfast, by the way, was delicious!! Thank you all so very much!

Not a good stay for us at Embassy Suites. Huge party next to our room that kept us up from 1:30am - 4am. The hotel staff was very responsive and tried to help us, but the issue wasnt fully resolved until 3:40am. We had a 7am departure for a volleyball tournament next door and absolutely no coffee bar or any coffee whatsoever. Breakfast wasnt until 7:30am. Tripple whammy for us....NO SLEEP, NO COFFEE AND NO BREAKFAST!

The check in was simple and the front agents were great and detailed- I wish it was more restaurants close by

The owner has done a great job of turning a former factory into a cool place to stay. Hopefully, the surrounding area is renovated soon. In one direction there are closed stores with boarded-up windows and barely-open stores with bars on the windows. In the other direction is a downtown that once was. At 4:00 AM on Monday, a motorcyclist stopped in front of the hotel and revved his engine repeatedly (backfiring each time). He came back several times and repeated the process again and again. The hotel itself is very nice and the suite had a fun, unusual layout. The barn door separating the bathroom from the bedroom was installed in a way that doesn't allow privacy for the occupant in the bathroom.

Great location. Dramatic interiors and views. Excellent customizable breakfast. Coffee shop adjacent.

What a fantastic hotel! 2 minute walk to BMO Center. Staff couldn’t have been nicer!

The hotel was clean and attractive, The suite was large, comfortable, modern, and well furnished. The rooftop bar/restaurant is good, though the menu is a bit limited and I could have done without the rather loud Trivia Night blaring throughout dinner. The area around the hotel was absolutely empty in the evening and not terribly lively by day.

The only isssue I came across was the homeless panhandling as soon as you walk outside, still on Hotel property. The hotel needs to address this issue promptly. Every time I walked outside I was confronted. Even drivers picking up guests were confronted by the homeless.

This was such a nice hotel! Very clean, very spacious, the staff was very nice and helpful. We loved it!! The location was great too. It was nice to go walk by the river and also be close to the downtown area.

The food is horrible

Yes. Wonderful breakfast and Happy Hour with appetizers. I became very ill at dinner, from food from another venue (not associated with Embassy Suites), and the staff helped me so much. I was extremely ill for about 2 hours, in the bathroom off of the restaurant, and they were so kind and found a wheelchair to get me back to my room. So unbelievably kind.

Room was very good, room service food was poor. Breakfast ok.

Breakfast was amazing!!! The kitchen did a great job but definitely seemed overwhelmed. Better signage in the kitchen might have helped the confusion. Overall a great hotel and a great location!!

Stay was excellent except for the food at the social hour. I'm used to many more options of food than was offered at this location. Also only gave 2 drinks I believe its 3 every where else I've stayed.

Hotel was unique as it was formerly a warehouse converted into a hotel. Happy hour provided a nice selection of alcoholic beverages. The Happy hour snack table was not well maintained as most of the food was taken, and it took staff a long time to notice this and refill the table.

For a small town hotel it was too expensive. I had to pay a security deposit higher than down town Chicago. Although breakfast was good, you couldn’t serve yourself, it’s has if they’re rationing the servings. However, I love that they offered omelet. A hotel that doesn’t offer parking to their patrons is not good.
