The Sebel Yarrawonga Silverwoods

Overall Sebel is a great venue to stay at for a few days as we did, the inhouse restaurant comes in handy and the pool was great.....The parking can be a little remote when the venus is busy and my wife thought there could be brighter lighting in the bathroom.....minor things!

Located in a great spot on the lake and a short drive into the township. The rooms and facilities were excellent. We will certainly be going back there again for a two night stay.

Outdoor areas of suites need a good clean, furniture is old, worn and dirty - needs an update. Facilities and pool are 5 star.

Service is always a massive let down. Don’t be surprised if they charge you for a nights dinner that you never had. Happened to me a few times! Gym and facilities is what’s best

1. Distance from carpark to rooms. 2. Distance from room to facilities. 3. Clear glass walls/door of toilet and shower provides no privacy. 4. Microwave but no crockery or cutlery provided. 5. Note pad but no pen. 6. Very heavy breakfast menu/ no fruit, no yogurt and limited cereal options.

A mid winter getaway-perfect quiet spot. Staff were helpful and the room was comfortable and clean. My room was lake view but unfortunately on the side that overlooks the reception etc so more roofs than lake. Food was delicious and bed very comfortable! I will return.

Over priced food, other peoples clothing under the wardrobe, extremely poor service in the restaurant - plus getting charged for a meal I didn’t even have. Television in the room was switched of but randomly came on with the hotel greetings.

Though the property was architecturally beautiful, the service failed dismally. On checkin had to find a trolley and get our luggage to our room. Saw an elderly couple one with a walking frame doing the same. Restaurant menu was uninspiring and confusing, staff repeatedly missed elements of our orders- milk and sugar for coffee, a drink from room service order. Hot breakfast was almost cold. No pool towels in our room( they were meant to be in room) no pool towels by the pool, requested cutlery for our room which was forgotten then we had to go to get it, staff wiping multiple tables with the one filthy cloth without rinsing in between tables. Fire doors wedged open, cobwebs everywhere in outside of building, dirty windows. The hotel obviously is seriously struggling with staff and the staff they have are lacking in training. Unfortunately it's poor reputation is well known in Yarrawonga and locals have endless stories about shortfalls. Sorry Sebel/ you just didn't do it.

Brilliant pool, clean rooms, wonderful lake view, relaxing environment. However, disappointed upon check in the staff member charged my credit card acsecond time for the night's accommodation when already prepaid days earlier.

When you book and pay for a lake view, you expect to get a lake view, not a view of the main building overlooking the pool and part of the lake as well as over looking the garden and lawn. Stayed in room 207, but put up with it. Next time I will be more inquisitive as to which room I am being given in future. But other than that the venue was excellent.

My partner and I stayed at The Sebel Yarrawonga on the 11th of January 2025 - was a beautiful room - although I had requested the lakeside/waterfront view and we received a side view of the lake - a little disappointing as we paid a lot of money for the room. Also, we utilised the pool which was amazing - we purchased cocktails and refreshments from the pool bar. However we were disappointed with one particular male barman who made us feel like we were being a nuisiance. We were provided with menus at the bar and i wanted to order a bloody mary cocktail which was on the menu, only to be told that they make them or have them and that i had to walk through into the main bar to get one which required me, dripping wet from the pool, only a towel covering me to walk into a respectable part of the hotel to order my drink. I found this ridiculous. The bar staff can easily obtain ingredients from the main bar to make the cocktails which again were listed on the Sebel menu. We also asked for a beer at another point in time and were told that they had run out of the mainstream beer, and then with attitude the barman told us that ok, I'll go and get some from the main bar, like it was a huge inconvenience to him. I'd like to report that this bar man was very unhelpful and rude, looking down at his customers and should definitely not be employed by an establishment like the Sebel, who usually prides itself in the way they offer 5 star treatment.

We love the Sebel in Yarrawonga, the rooms and facilities are lovely, beautiful views from the rooms, it’s very tranquil.

Beautiful surrounds, liked the bar area fireplace in a cold day. Heaters going outside as well Stayed long weekend, breakfast first night on Friday was amazing but last day was so different. I think the staff should take notice when no orange juice and ask me to go to the bar, then the bar ask me to go to reception to request it be fillef

Everything is fantastic except the foul septic smell that hits you in the face as you near the area of main restaurant. This is our second visit to Sebel Yarrawonga and it is the second time we have this smell occur. My husband was a plumber for over 10 years and it even made him gasp. Other than that, it is a beautiful place to stay & relax.
