Very classy hotel, and historic. The King Suite was immaculate and very roomy. Great bed and pillows. It had three sinks, very handy. Also a microwave and small refrigerator. There was a parking lot next to the hotel, so that was convenient. The streets nearby-half the store fronts are empty. At the hotel Ariel, If you take the elevator to the 5th Floor, you can go out on the deck and have a wonderful view of the water, and the lighthouse. They are working on great trails and parks right nearby. We went on a Monday and Tuesday so the restaurant was closed. We enjoyed breakfast in town that was called The Beach Cliff Diner, even though the sign outside is crooked, don't worry about it. The food was delicious and the people were very friendly. They even had tasty grits as a side. It was an hour ride to Cleveland to visit the Art museum (free) and the excellent Botanic garden both in the University circle.

Dirty found bed bugs in our first room and got moved to another room and yet again bugs on top of the comforter. Took and hour and half for the manager to comprehend that we wasn’t staying there no matter what upgrade she offered. Asked for a refund still waiting on that…

The hotel was nowhere close to being full, it would have been nice to have a room with a view instead of a nearby building.

The dinner was great. The chef and service to be commended. Wish there had been breakfast available but we found a nearby place. Two of the little bars of soap would have been nice as either my daughter or I had to wait to wash our hands after eating if one of us was in the shower which slowed us down a bit but not serious. Overall, enjoyed our stay there.
