The room was just fine. Shower pretty small. Pool was not open and used for storing junk. Railroad runs right across the street and is a bit loud for those of us who live in quite areas. But the staff was wonderful. Better than a motel 6 for staff but not as good for the facility.

Check in was easy and room was waiting when we arrived about 4:00. Property is dated. Old swimming pool is empty and fenced off. Looks like a storage area in the middle of the parking lot. Room was renovated and clean with a few amenities (clean fridge, microwave, shampoo, soap, etc.) Flat panel tv was new and channel selection was extensive. Check-out time was 10:30 am, which is a bit unusual. All-in-all, would book again.

We stayed here for the nostalgia, it’s been 25 years since we came to the Thunderbird and it didn’t disappoint! I’m pretty sure the pool was closed then too - but we weren’t there to swim and it’s not advertised as having a pool. We just enjoyed the humor of it all. The room was clean and the guy who checked us in was friendly. If you’re looking for luxury, then pay quadruple the price and stay elsewhere! The Thunderbird Motel is a gem, an absolute classic and for the price, I have zero complaints. 10/10, would go again. Also, the carpet and interior decor is a vintage throwback - wow the memories!

The curtains couldn't be opened since they were tucked in behind a metal pole on top the giant old air conditioner ..the room was so dark ..thinnest bedspread ever. The shower was disgusting I wouldn't use it

Didnt stay my daughter checked in b4 me and she went to her room and there was bugs all over the room smelt bad mold on walls over all disgusting... went and told manger she wasn't staying there and he got in her face yelling at her save your money DO NOT STAY THERE

The room was clean & comfortable. The fresh scent was pleasant. The host was friendly and helpful. The bathroom looked newly remodeled and everything was very clean. Decor had a retro vibe. Although the outside of the motel looked a bit run down, then inside was fine and we slept well.

This appears on the outside to be an older property, but the room was completely modernized. The bed was comfortable, there was plenty of furniture for any purpose, and the television was up to date. The bathroom had new fixtures. One caution: the shower stall was quite small - huskier guests would likely find it uncomfortable.

An okay stay which served its purpose. Nothing really wrong with the room, but it's a bit overpriced for the quality and location. The property is very dated & desperately needs a facelift - that was the smallest shower I've ever seen. Also could have done without the noisy train coming through at 1.30am...

Remarkably well maintained old motel. The staff member was cordial and helpful, the location was safe. The bed was thin but in good shape. They really should install hand-held showers. I am 6'1" and there was no way I could keep the shower being directed in my face. It would be horrible for a shorter person.

Channel your inner Jack Kerouac! It’s an inexpensive hotel next to the train tracks. Freight trains go by. The walls are painted cinder block. But it’s clean and friendly and the price is right. Not a bad price for a clean, safe, comfortable bed.

The room was just average, as you would expect for the price and location. It served our purpose, but there is nothing notable about it. The mattresses could use an upgrade and the cabinets in the bathroom could use a good cleaning.The gentleman in the office was pleasant enough, but again, nothing outstanding to note. They could stand to invest in a coffee pot, with real coffee, for at least some morning hours.
