Tru by Hilton Atlanta Northlake Parkway, GA

My family and I stayed at the Tru North lake property for 5 days. We liked the covered parking (12 spots) if not the parking was easy available in the front and back of the hotel. The breakfast was good. The hotel atmosphere was just amazing. No microwave in the rooms, but there is one in the lobby available to guests to use. We had rain a couple of nights, but no worries, we played pool, cards, and chess/checkers. The staff was very accommodating especially Randall. We would definitely recommend and will stay here again.

Modern, clean, quiet and will return. Check in was quick and polite. Breakfast options were the best and convenient. Water and ice available. Room was modern, clean, AC and everything worked great. Plenty of nearby well lit parking. No problems. I travel regularly and this was a great stay!!

This hotel was very clean and the staff was friendly. There’s also a nice outdoor patio if you want to sit and relax.

My stay was excellent, the hotel itself was cute and vibrant, loved the design of the building. My room was clean and quite 🤗, the shower felt amazing. My only complaint is the parking lot is kinda small. Every staff was polite and welcoming, will be booking again.

This property is reasonably priced with available free parking. It also includes free daily breakfast. The rooms match the included photos. There isn't a lot of fan fare with average amenities and i like that there is no carpeting. There are limited dining options close to the hotel so you will have to drive unless you eat at the places nearby. No restaurant or bar either but that's a trade off for the price etc. I would stay again.

Clean modern room and bathroom. Friendly staff. Nice gym area. Breakfast was good each morning and well stocked. Kids enjoyed the pancake making machine. When back in the area I will stay here again.

Found toe nails in my room, advised front level personnel show them pictures and at no point did I hear from management.

The room was clean and comfortable. The staff was professional, courteous and friendly. The breakfast was great. This hotel is a Gem!

Clean room and helpful staff

Brandon, a front desk worker, was much more concerned with his phone conversation than he was with maintaining the breakfast space. My room was never cleaned and I was there 3 nights. Housekeeping came in and tossed the comforter over my piled up pillows and left……AND I was first placed in a room that smelled strongly of mildew, with a king bed, which I requested, but once moved, only queens were available.

Dirty carpet in hallway Latch missing on my door causing me to slam the door multiple times to shut it! Waking everyone!!!

Clean room and staff was great

The room was spotless and the as always the guy Racean at the front desk is a gem. The staff sincerely takes pride in customer service all across the board.

The lady at the front desk was very friendly and attentive. The room was okay. There was hair on the floor, on the shampoo bottle, in the shower. Also found stains on the pull down shade. Just wished it was a little bit more cleaner.

The room I booked was not available And when entering the bathroom there was a large, live, cockroach on the floor. A terrible experience.

Nice, newer hotel close to Northlake Mall. The rooms are compact but still have plenty of room for a couple with luggage. Large screen TVs make viewing a pleasure. Bathroom was bright and clean. Two things I’d change - need an open electrical outlet on both sides of the bed (one side was full so I had to unplug the clock) and the glass shower door needs to be adjusted. It was a bear to open and close.

The staff at this hotel was great. However, the noise level was way too much no matter time of the door. I won't stay here again.

Rooms are not sound proof, no microwave to warm food late nights.

There was not a coffee machine in the room

If you love the cheapest Ikea furniture possible, then this is the place for you. Everything was clean, no issues with that. The desk is tiny, the furniture is sparse and cheap feeling. Would not stay at a Tru again as a business traveler.

The hotel is good ,but the acostics are zero... I heard the conversations from the next room and all the noise from the apartment above mine. .

Staff were extremely friendly and accommodating the best part of the day. Quiet neighborhood right off the circle freeway. Brand new help me brand hotel with Ikea type furnishing. Light and delicious breakfast. Great value.

Hotel is new. Clean and cute. However the TV is basic. No Netflix or smart capabilities. Scrolling guide and basic cable. On a business trip, all I care about is getting to room and watching TV so I’m always annoyed when the TV is not good. Smart TVs are cheap. Don’t understand why all hotels don’t have them.

Comfortable simple room although there is a mini fridge there is no coffee pot nor microwave in room. Coffee and micro available in lobby all day and night.

The hotel is in a beautiful area with a lake and shopping mall nearby. There’s no carpet in the rooms, so there’s no musty smell. Shoutout to Jordan for making check in the best part of my day.

Fantastic experience and stay from start to finish. Naima was the most helpful and sweetest front desk employee! She attended to our every need and was insistent on making sure we were comfortable and happy. The hotel was clean, beautiful and tucked away in the wooded area of Northlake Parkway with easy access to the highway where we were able to get where we wanted to go easily and quickly. Hotel was very quiet and clean - we loved it!

Very much enjoyed our stay! Very clean, polite staff, and wonderful breakfast. LaMont was super friendly and very helpful. We enjoyed his kindness.

Sean who was new on his first week working there was absolutely amazing and very friendly he was able to help me out with every time I checked in! He deserves manager position already! Will for sure come back

The hotel canceled our reservation for no reason. The tried to charge my card which was locked because I booked the option where I’d pay at the property. The locked card declined. I got there and did not have a room. They did not try to call to ask me to unlock the card or try to accommodate at all. This is a true review. Please post it.

The staff is always very welcoming from the front desk to the cleaning crews. I love this place. It is my go to.

DO NOT BOOK THIS HOTEL! Staff not worthy of the Tru standard we saw elsewhere! Hotel attendant allowed marijuna smoking and extremely loud music at 11 PM on 3rd floor without intervening. As a consequence they moved us to a different floor in King room instead of 2-queen for the first night but assured us that for the next 2 nights on our reservation they would move us back to what we had booked and paid for. It was only a matter of waiting for the cleaning crew to release our room. When we checked back in the next evening the information had not been noted anywhere in their system, the new attendant tried to put us back in a King room, claiming no 2-queen room was available to us. When we insisted, Thomas claimed they had no obligation to provide specifically what we had booked but could put us on a waitlist in case another 2-queen bedroom reservation fell through. When we demanded they give us the room we had booked he unilaterally canceled the rest of our reservation and told us to leave. So they were not willing to apply the policy to others that they were applying to us. We had no choice but to book the rest of our trip with a competing local hotel. Hotel employees broke Hilton company policy as well as Georgia State laws by allowing cannabis use. We could have called the cops but decided to relax by the pool of the other hotel instead of spending our evening reporting them. Our advice is to take your business elsewhere if you don't want to risk facing what we did

Issues with check-in. Had several staff stated the room the was registered to me was showing vacant. I was in room 204 which was assigned to me on Friday, Oct 17th. On Saturday housekeeping came stating the room that I was assigned to show it was vacant. That afternoon I went downstairs to the desk and was told the same thing. I showed him my email for my reservation and the card that I used to book the room. But again it showed that I wasn’t assigned room 204. Later that evening I received a call from the desk about the same issue.

Shay was very rude and spoke of policies that didn’t exist. Randall was very helpful. The food was good. Relatively clean

A pleasant weekend visiting the greater Atlanta area. Good choice of lodging for us. Centrally located, and easy to access. Clean and comfortable

Away from restaurants but good close distance from Stone Mountain

Shopping and variety of restaurants within 1 to 2 miles. Everything that is necessary for a good nights sleep is there fir you.

It was away from crazy city life but close enough to stores and lots of food places. It was quiet and friendly and breakfast was good. Room was clean except for dust on tables and floor was not clean but it was good.

Property was nice. Pill table in lobby nice outdoor seating patio. Very clean hotel. Not much to do in the area.

The room was clean, comfortable and private. I really enjoyed the area the hotel was in, secluded from the busy city and in nature. The morning breakfast was great although some of the egg portions looked a little old. I still very much enjoyed my stay and felt safe as a solo traveler.

Not the best. The hotel was noisy. The black out blinds did not work. The breakfast was mediocre. You could hear everything through the walls. Very uncomfortable.

Not enough choices on hot food

The hotel appears to be a fairly new. The room was clean, the beds were comfortable and no funky odors. The breakfast selection was decent however the coffee was not. Tried it at different times of the day and was only lukewarm. There’s no microwave in the breakfast area nor the room. No coffee pot in the room.

Breakfast was shut down around 8:50. Came down at 8:52 to minimal options for myself and 3 kids. Asked if there was anything available and was told breakfast ends at 9:00. I said ok well we still have 8 mins and she said again well breakfast ends at 9:00. So then I had to buy a milk to hold my kids over until we could grab breakfast outside the hotel. I asked the front desk to clean off a table as it was dirty from a previous guest. She said I could ask the lady doing breakfast. My response was she is busy cleaning up breakfast because it ends at 9:00 even though it was not 9:00 yet. The front desk attendant was not happy to help. She was too busy listening to her ear buds that was connected to her phone. I asked to speak to a manager but was told they weren’t answering their phone and was given a business card. Rooms are small. Would not stay here again. No one was willing to help at any point.
