The lodge is older but overall clean. There is lodge WiFi but could not get a cel phone signal, nor could anyone else we talked to. It is located in Cumberland Falls Park and is convenient to the falls. Very peaceful and quiet. We did have to go into Corbin to eat though as the restaurant in the lodge is closed every Monday and Tuesday, which we thought a bit strange for a hotel. Definitely would stay there again if I were going to the falls.

No elevator to 2nd floor. Kind of a pain, especially for someone that has a difficult time getting around. Nobody offered any assistance. Maybe they would if asked. Pretty old and historical building, which is cool, but not really very comfortable.

Quiet, quaint, but a bit aged. Expedia didn't show the onsite restaurant as closed on Mondays and Tuesdays so that was inconvenient. Nearby eateries were 25 min drive away. Falls are beautiful. Plenty of parking at lodge. I'd stay again but on diff day of week.

The view is breathtaking. We were on third floor, no elevator, my husband has some difficulties with balance, the stairs are very narrow. The bed was super comfortable

Moldy, dirty, tiny rooms. Holes and water damage on ceiling. Hot water doesn't consistently work for showers, dozens of broken lounge chairs around pool, majority of workers were incredibly rude and complained about their job/duties/coworkers/customers, poor housekeeping,- filthy rooms and lounge area - dead bugs, trash, food, etc. on floors all around hotel, dirty underwear left in our room from previous guests

Room was outdated giving it a dirty feeling. It was the tiniest room I have ever stayed in. Dust on ceiling and behind bed. Continental breakfast was less than average. It was a fantastic location to thw falls, the deck was very nice too. I would look elsewhere if ever in the area again.

It's a very old room, and we brought our two dogs with us. This is an individual woodland, but they divided it into two, and we can hear another room talking clearly, so my dog barks a lot, and there is a millipede in the room. We didn't want to bother other travelers because our dogs bark, and we probably couldn't sleep well. So, around 10 pm, we checked out and decided to leave. I like the view of the falls. I hope they upgrade those accommodations.

Honestly the review needs to be 2-part: one part for the actual FALLS and surrounding park areas (gorgeous, well worth the trip) and the other for the accommodations/meals. We stayed in the lodge and it was a disappointent, even allowing for the fact that it is an older facility and one would expect it to be somewhat dated. We were on the 3rd floor---no elevator and difficult, narrow stairs. The room was small but adequate---very nice beds and linens. Bathroom is OK---NO shelves for your toiletries and an extremely low toilet, but excellent shower and towels. The dining room is a lovely space but the meals were disappointing, especially the "continental breakfast." The best part of the lodge is the lobby-level terrace with a wonderful view of the river...

The location is great & the view of the river was good. Plenty of trails to enjoy nature & scenery. The negatives of the trip: food was mediocre & our first room…there was a millipede trying to get out of the light in the ceiling. We told the front desk about this & moved us to another room. The new room was pretty good except when we woke up the next morning there was a millipede in our bathroom. While we want to come back again we will not stay again in the lodge. I understand we are in nature, but the bugs should not be in the building.

The Lodge didn't look as grand in person as the online pictures. It was dark and dreary. Rooms in the resort were really small as was the bathroom. It was very clean, though. I am glad we saw the Resort and waterfalls. I don't think we'll go back, though.

Our queen woodland cottage was a duplex with paper thin walls. We left at 11 p.m. and went home. Our elderly neighbors were having loud sex. At the front desk when i checked out, they acknowledged hearing my story before from others. They offered no refund

The public spaces are comfortable with plenty of seating and games to pass the time. Outside patio is beautiful with a view over the tree tops into the gorge and the river. The rooms are ok. AC units are noisy, we had to request a room change. Shampoo, conditioner, body wash are all liquid and in dispensers in the shower. No soap or hand cream otherwise. Plenty of hot water. The room and bathroom were perfectly clean. They windows opened which isn't something you find everywhere. The rugs and furnishings are dated. It's an old building that could use a little TLC. Example the fire suppression water lines are run external and 'hidden' behind an casing. The meals provided are ok at best. The continental breakfast is meager-cold sugary cereal, unlabeled yogurt, bagels and bread for a toasting, some fruit, coffee in Styrofoam cups. If you want hot anything you have to pay extra. Wifi wasn't working. Staff had trouble entering an order for hot breakfast to the kitchen and to check people out.

The best thing about this property was the view. Guests should be notified before hand that there is no elevator to the second floor. There is only an elevator from the main entrance down to the dining room. Our room was also the farthest from the stairwell which is not great for senior citizens. Our bed was not comfortable. Because it was very cold, the window heater kept loudly turning on so that it was difficult to sleep. There was no hand soap in the bathroom and no spare blanket in the room. The only place to eat with sit down dining was in the main lodge. The menu was somewhat limited and no options for diabetics or people with nut allergies. We checked out a day early because the lodging did not live up to our expectations.

The location is beautiful but the wall that separates the rooms is a sheetrock you can hear absolutely everything the TV, the conversations….EVERYTHING. We could NOT sleep.

We had a phenomenal stay. I used to go to Cumberland Falls growing up and going back was on my bucket list. A friend went with me since all of my immediate family members have passed. We had some of the kindest people ever serving us at every turn. 👍👍

The park is beautiful, Mary at the front desk is rude. I called twice, no answer so we went ahead and drove in 2 hours early. I asked if we could have an early check in and she just said "check in is at 4" I said I'm aware, I was just wondering if we could maybe check in early... she hit me with "check in is at 4." Okay then... my husband asked about the trails and she said "you've seen one.. you've seen them all". We came back 2 hours later to get h to e keys and those ladies were so nice and friendly. 2 lamps in the cabin didn't work- walls were paper thin. I could hear the neighbors peeing and talking all night. Bed was uncomfortable but Shower was nice and hot.

Beautiful old lodge. Needs updating. Room with 2 double beds, only one chair in the room. Restaurants closed Monday and Tuesday (days of our stay). 18 miles into town to get to eat, so I brought our food. Ignored by receptionist upon arrival for about 5 minutes (she was on the phone). No hello or good morning from staff at breakfast (cheap food, but available). Found a child's sock, Legos and a dime on the floor of the room (not vacuumed after last guest?). Nature surrounding the area is beautiful, but didn't make up for the poor quality of the lodge. Needs funding from the state and nicer staff.

Beautiful area. Resort is older but clean, and gives a very nice nostalgic feel. Mandy, one of the front desk folks, was so accommodating and kind-- she is an asset to the resort! We enjoyed seeing the moonbow and the trails were a little challenging but great!

STAY ELSEWHERE I’m going to start at beginning of our experience we are at the DuPont lodge and we check in and go to the room and my wife checks the beds as normal and one had hair on it so we had to change the sheets , we leaver to go hiking and come back to eat 1 hour before the close at the restaurant below the hotel ,Riverview , and nothing really left on the buffet so I decided not to eat my granddaughter only got 2 scoops of mashed potatoes and my wife got a older salad and a tea 2 cokes , now think old salad small portion of potatoes and they charge us $36.00 ,they said they couldn’t break it up because she got potatoes off food bar she’s 10 and they charges us $36 my wife complained and as walking up the stairs the ladies was laughing at her which is totally wrong , we set outside then I came back in to front desk ask for a manager and the girl said no one was here , I ask if I could see them in the morning and answer was not sure if they will be here , pretty sad situation I’m spending a evening writing review

The main positive about this hotel is the location since there are few other hotels in the area. The room was clean but is due for upgrades. The staff was friendly. The restaurant, however, was a disappointment. We booked this hotel thinking it would be nice to stay in the park and have dinner after a day of hiking. The dinner food was not good, so we ended up having to drive into downtown Corbin for dinner after all. Breakfast was mediocre at best, and the coffee was terrible. So if you are staying here for the convenience of the restaurant, I really can't recommend it. If you are staying here for a room, then it's fine.

Closest town is a 30 minute ride for dinner or you can grab burgers at the falls if the snack bar is open. The included breakfast was rather disappointing. It was a cereal bar, which included light yogurt and juice/coffee, no hot food.

So happy to get a room in the lodge right in this park! Room was clean and comfortable, and over looked the wooded area beside the lodge. Lobby is nice and outdoor patio had a spectacular view of the river. However, the abysmal food at the restaurant was straight out of a Sysco can. Ended up eating here for dinner and breakfast, as any other food choices were miles away.

For the price, we expected a little more. The food was not good, for any of the meals for the price. Regular hotels offer a better continental breakfast. The meat with lunch/dinner was over cooked and looked like it came from a frozen bag. The vegetables didn't even taste good, very bland. It was like they are just cutting costs with no thought to the taste. With the beautiful view in the dining room, you would think they would at least clean the windows. That doesn't cost much. It just seems like they don't care if the guests are happy or not. I love the park and will probably go back but will probably get a cabin and bring our own food next time.

Suggest utilizing curved shower rods to allow more room in shower. Curved rods will extend the space between side wall and curtain. Disappointed in the continental breakfast.
