It was a very clean room and the breakfast was tasty! If you book they may downgrade you based on what’s available.

Stayed 1 night

Not a great stay. The breakfast is very disappointing, just a bunch of stale baked goods wrapped in plastic. Only two cooked options that are made to order and they couldn’t even do scrambled eggs. First hotel I’ve ever stayed at in the world (and I’ve stayed at hundreds) where they expect you to set up your own bed (we had three people and I asked if the sofa bed could be set up for my son) - instead of someone doing this for us, they gave me sheets and told me to pull it out and set it up myself. For anywhere between $250-$450 per night you would think that the hotel setting up a bed would be a basic amenity they would offer. Not enough table seating in breakfast area and most of the rooms have a view of the highway or the parking lot. Pool is small and very average. Apart from the modern design, this is a completely average and unremarkable hotel. Nice staff but disappointing experience overall.

Stayed 4 nights

I stayed at Element New York Wood-Ridge for 4 nights, and unfortunately, my experience was very disappointing. Don’t be fooled by the photos online — a lot of the advertising felt misleading. The continental breakfast shown in the pictures was nothing like what was actually offered. Most of the bagels were individually wrapped, there were no bacon or ham options, the portions were small, the coffee tasted terrible, and there was barely any fruit available. One of the biggest issues was the noise. I booked this hotel thinking it was a newer and quieter property, but there is a nightclub on the top floor that was extremely loud at night. I had to request a room change because of it. The thermostat in the room did not work properly, and the fan kept turning on loudly throughout the night. The TV also wasn’t connected to streaming services, so I had to call staff for assistance. Housekeeping only comes every two days, which was also disappointing during a longer stay. The laundry room was also disappointing. The machines seemed old, and my clothes were still wet after drying. When I spoke to the staff about it, I was told I would have to pay for another drying cycle instead of being offered any assistance. Overall, I would not recommend staying at this hotel.
