Tivoli Alvor Algarve - All Inclusive Resort

Fabulous hotel. Lovely quiet Adult only pool. Staff gery pleasant. Large queue in the bar at night and more staff required. I would definitely recommend

"I want to share my review of Tivoli Alvor Algarve Resort. Firstly, the check-in process was very efficient and the staff members were friendly. They kindly introduced me to the room and provided me with all the necessary information, which made me feel very comfortable and excited to start my vacation. Even before my room was ready, I was able to enjoy a delicious lunch at the hotel. The hotel staff were very attentive and filled my towels daily. I also appreciated the fact that they provided breakfast, lunch, and dinner as well as snacks throughout the day. The location was perfect as it was within walking distance to the beach and the hotel also provided shuttle buses to the town and beach. The hotel's parking lot was also secure with a gatekeeper. The sauna and indoor swimming pool were great facilities, although the steam room was not yet operational. If you're looking for a 5-star hotel, I highly recommend this hotel. I would definitely stay here again on my next trip."

Wir hatten ein Zimmer nach hinten ohne Aussicht. Blieben aber nur eine Nacht, von daher ok. Leider waren in der Bar fast keine Stühle aufgebaut und das Restaurant war gut besucht. Leider sehr laut. Essen ganz ok. Das Spa besteht aus vier Liegestühlen und einem Mini-Pool. Wenn die Anlage voll ist wird es sicherlich überall etwas eng.

The staff went above and beyond for us at every point of enquiry- they are truly a credit to Tivoli and our time would not have been half as good without their politeness and helpfulness. Ample food provided at mealtimes with lots of options for vegetarians. We felt so relaxed here. We also enjoyed access to two beaches: one is a 10 minute walk across the bridge, and the other is accessible by hotel "train." There are two bars that make alcoholic and non alcoholic drinks. Our room was huge and was cleaned everyday.

Very limited onsite activities. Limited food options. The property was about to close for the cold season and they limited dining options to only 2 restaurants, and closed other restaurants. Indoor activities specifically kid's activities were extremely limited. They had no onsite activities on last night of our stay, October 30th.

We had an excellent stay at Tivoli Alvor! The staff will go out of their way for you and the location is perfect with complimentary trolley service into Alvor.

A very good hotel with some nice touches. No sun bed service but you would pay a lot more for that elsewhere. Pools are clean. Food is excellent. Only 2.6 hours there. Loads to do.Alvor as a location is great as well.

Estuvimos un fin de semana largo y la estancia no ha podido ser mejor. Destaco al personal del hotel por su eficacia y su amabilidad. Las instalaciones muy bien también, a pesar de estar todo lleno con muchas familias con niños. Las piscinas estaban muy saturadas, quizá el tamaño de las mismas se les haya quedado pequeño para los niños y sus hinchables... La comida también estaba muy bien, gran variedad y cantidad. Lo que más nos gustó la piscina sólo de adultos. Lo recomiendo.

The Tivoli Alvor is in a fantastic location, close to the beach and local amenities. The hotel itself looks quite new, and everything is nicely finished and well-maintained. The pools are beautiful, and overall the grounds are very attractive. However, service was definitely a weak point. While a few staff members went above and beyond, the majority seemed disinterested and often lacked clear information. Check-in was chaotic (albeit understandably busy), but parking management was a real mess. After checking in, we tried to reserve spots at the specialty restaurants and spa, but nothing was available for our entire two-night stay, which was disappointing. Food quality was okay — not bad, but not standout either. The buffet offered some variety, but again, nothing particularly memorable. Drinks were what you’d typically expect at an all-inclusive: made to the cheapest acceptable standard, with a clear push to encourage upgrading to the premium drinks package. We mostly stayed around the adult pool, which was lovely, but the drinks offering there was very limited. There wasn’t a full bar nearby, meaning you had to walk quite a bit to get cocktails, which was a shame. In short, it’s a beautifully located and designed resort with great potential, but they really need to improve the service experience to match the setting.

DIe Anlage Tivoli Algave Ressort wirkt relativ neuwertig und großzügig gestaltet, aber noch nicht bis ins Kleinste landschaftstechnisch durchgeplant. Saubere, schön angelegte Poollandschaften, großzügig sprich weiträumige Restaurantflächen, vielfältiges Essensangebot, durchorganisiertes Unterhaltungsprogramm. Besonders zu erwähnen ist die vorherrschende Entspanntheit, ausreichend Liegemöglichkeiten sowie Sonnenschirme, kein Kampf um die Liegen. Die Rezeption sowie das Putzpersonal sind lobend zu erwähnen, der Service, insbesondere bei den Mahlzeiten, wirkt sehr bemüht, ohne wirklich zu glänzen. Die Lage ist gut, 10 Autominuten bis Portimao, knappe 10 Gehminuten bis zum Strand. Unter dem Strich eine tolle Woche, als Familienurlaub durchaus zu erwägen

The staff were excellent, food and drink was readily available and very good. The only thing that let us down was the quality of the room; whilst it was clean the air conditioning didn't work nor did the shower. Just a bit frustrating that when we arrived we couldn't have these essentials working

Nous avons passé un excellent séjour auprès de cet établissement. Les restaurants et bars étaient vraiment agréables avec un personnel attentif et attentionné. Cependant, le classement en 5 étoiles n'est pas justifié. En effet, plusieurs détails sont perceptibles comme l'entretien des chambres négligé par les personnels de ménage (papier toilette non alimenté, draps non changés). Nous avons également noté le manque de respect de certains touristes qui laissent des déchets un peu partout et malheureusement, le personnel de nettoyage n'était pas présent pour ramasser ces déchets. Cet hôtel mérite 4 étoiles et reste néanmoins très agréable.

Food is not the strong suit of this hotel. I understand that being an all inclusive hotel the gastronomic proposal is not gourmet but it could be a little better. The only dish that I loved was the Moqueca. The facilities and the service kind of make up for it though. I found some bugs in my room so that is something that could improve. The kids club is nice for parents, and for children as well.

Beautiful property and wonderful staff. Hotel was clean. Adult pool was beautiful and clean. Drinks and towels readily available and staff always around to help. The food was very good and fresh. Essence restaurant had great options everyday for lunch and dinner. So many options to choose from. The spa was great! The messages were affordable and very relaxing. They had great options and lots of great fun things for the kids which i loved. I went here for my birthday vacation solo. I am definitely coming back and bringing my family to experience this wonderful experience.

During my stay, I had a great time. The only thing I didn’t like was they didn’t have much food options during lunch only a barbecue and some snacks. I also didn’t like the difficulty of getting on and off the resort after 12 o’clock the parking was difficult as there is a Remote parking lot and sometimes the gate to enter and exit is locked. There was also this weird brown substance on the bathroom floor floors even after the cleaners would come once the floor got wet. This brown substance would come up from in between the tiles of the bathroom floor. Besides those issues, the staff was very nice and the hotel was clean. The drinks at the bar were really good and when we did get food outside of the barbecue lunch at the Italian restaurant, I enjoyed the food. I also like the fact that there were multiple pools and one was strictly for adults. The rooms were also nice and tidy and housekeeping was the best.

L'endroit était très bien pour le prix! Les chambres étaient spacieuses et propres et il y avait beaucoup de services offerts. Seule petite critique : la température de l'eau dans la douche était très instable et passait du bouillant au glacial toutes les 5 secondes.

Peccato che rientrando alle dieci di sera abbiamo constatato che la stanza non era stata rifatta. Per un 5 stelle direi una pecca non da poco.nessun cenno di scuse da parte loro.

Bom hotel, apartamento familiar espaçoso e confortável.

The staff were amazing, they're always ready to help. The location was walking distance to the beach. The rooms all have their own patio area. The area is safe and surrounded with tourist attractions. I had a great time here and if I'm visiting Portugal once again, I'll definitely want to stay there again.

I'll try to make this review as expansive and helpful, for anyone looking to visit, as i can. We are a family of 6. 4 children aged 10, 9, 6 and 4. We visited in May 2025 So here goes: We visited Tivoli Alvor in May 2025 as a family of six, as mentioned above, and overall, we had a really lovely time. In fact, we’ve already booked our next stay! That said, there are a few areas the resort could definitely improve. We booked a suite with connecting rooms, and it was a lovely, big, modern suite. It was just what we needed as many other resorts only offered two separate rooms and we wouldn't want to be split up as a family on holiday. Room service did a good job cleaning up, however, it turns out they don't replace the milk with the "complimentary teas and coffees" in the rooms and would only do this with a charge. In fact, when we rang up for some milk, reception said that it would be 45 Euros! Bear in mind, we had the Premium All-Inclusive package. Many positives overall, but I must say the Premium All-Inclusive package needs rethinking. As it stands, I'm not sure what it really offers and when we next book, we wont be booking the Premium All-Inclusive Package. Overall, we enjoyed our time there and will be returning.

Quarto bastante confortável

Chose this hotel as it looked beautiful in photos and was dog friendly. Dog friendliness was a plus (understandably can’t have dogs in restaurants or at pools but there was a grassy area you could lounge with pets in). The rooms are also new and nicely appointed. But the positives end there. The hotel is 95% large families. Everything is geared for families and kids. Even the main bar is where all the children’s entertainment (loud shows and kids music) is until late at night. No option for dining for adults only. Restaurants can only be booked strictly on site 10a-5pm. If you check in after 5 pm good luck to you, you’re stuck with the buffet. Unfortunately, both buffet and restaurants are average at best. Cold, greasy, not enough choices, sad salad bar. You get the picture. Restaurants not really better. Pizza at the Italian place was edible. Swordfish came to the table raw and had to be sent back. Terribly slow service (yes even by local standards) and kitchen staff screaming and arguing through the whole service to the point servers were apologizing to guests. Quality of wine and drinks was awful. This hotel ticks all the boxes on paper and might work for you if you’re a family and not fussed about food. But not appropriate for couples or groups of adults and not a food destination.

Terrible experience in terms of service : the checkin is a disaster. It took us 50mns to get our keys. They mixed all up. And now they are charging me with a night (450 euros) that I didn't book in a room that I didn't booked because they mixed in their system. It is a shame. It is unacceptable.

Food was not good, trying too hard to be fancy and lacking flavor. Severely short staffed, hard to get a drink.

Hotel staff were very helpful and the bar staff were always friendly and suggested great drinks. A wonderful experience and great hospitality.

Overall we had a great stay. The food and drink options were wonderful and up there with the best All Inclusive options we've had. A few things missing - margaritas missing from the cocktail menu and maple syrup for waffles/pancakes seem like obvious additions but that is nit-picking as options were plentiful and tasty and cocktails great quality. Staff overall were great; friendly and helpful. Special thank you to Carlos, who was the most wonderful masseuse and offered tips on stretches to ease issues I was having - very impressed and the massage was heavenly. The bar staff overall were great and attention was paid to all the drinks made with the right garnishes etc even when they were rushed off their feet during busy periods. The only niggle was the main buffet restaurant where it seemed hit and miss whether you got staff who were on it or not. Some days, we had zero complaints, they were efficient, friendly and helpful, other times, they were nowhere to be seen or slow even when the restaurant wasn't as busy. The Italian and Steak restaurants though are a credit to the hotel and we had no issues getting booked in, though we are just a couple, so admittedly this would be easier. The staff, food and drinks were all top-notch! The rooms were fab, the rainfall shower especially was heaven! We lucked out and got a great sunset view too so could sit and watch it go down with a cocktail on our balcony. Overall, a fantastic stay - highly recommend!

We absolutely loved our stay here. Felt very looked after and the food and facilities were of good quality. For the price we paid I would definitely say it is good value for money. The complementary train into Alvor town was also a lovely touch!

Betjeningen var hyggelige. Kun noen som ikke vet hva service betyr. Damen som jobber på butikken ved siden av resepsjonen var ikke hyggelig. Maten var kjedelig og det er ikke verdt pengene. Lite variasjon og dårlig utvalg. Ikke noe særlig mat for veganere. Kvaliteten på maten var heller ikke bra. Drikkene smakte bra! Insekter på rommet. Sengen var bra

Beautiful property! Lovely staff. Good quality food and drinks. Not too many options to confuse you. Very enjoyable for families and adults of all ages, with or without kids. Would definitely go back

Nice holiday for families, but a couple can also enjoy it. Food was decent. Buffet was ok and varied options, but the restaurants were definitely better. One of the restaurants wasn't open during our trip which was disappointing. There were some even shows but unfortunately didn't catch any. Like the free drinks and lots of areas to get them throughout the property.

Nice hotel, pleasant stay, but it is definitely not a five star hotel. The food buffet is not great, every day the same food, even dinner buffet looks like breakfast buffet. The restaurants offer a La carte food thankfully, otherwise you get tired of buffet after a second day. Other than food hotel is ok.
