Hilton Garden Inn Camden Waterfront Philadelphia

We had a fantastic stay. The high-floor room had incredible views of the water, city, and bridge. Truly beautiful. The bed and pillows were very comfortable. Loved the shower. A/C worked great. Secured parking was a big plus, though $25/day felt a little steep. Street parking is available but hard to find. Staff were super friendly and professional. The on-site grill was convenient but a bit overpriced — $50 for two basic breakfasts without drinks. Perfect location with easy access to the bridge into Philly. Very close to Rutgers-Camden, which was a big bonus for our trip. The hotel was quiet, clean, and dog-friendly. We enjoyed seeing all the cute pups. Only downside was the carpet in the room, not terrible, but had that typical “hotel smell”. Would prefer updated flooring. Overall, a great experience. We would definitely stay again!

Brand new property, lots of noise, I believe a better sound insulation was required when was under construction I guess, charge for parking in a neighborhood full of parking spaces that’s another negative dot, all the rest is positive, we’ll be back and recommended!

One of the 2 elevators was broken and it took forever to get up or down with one elevator!

Hotel is clean and in good location however the hotel charges their guest to pay $25 for parking in an unsecured parking lot not a garage. It was not necessary.

Great location! Beautiful view at sunset. Close to an aquarium and battleship. Paid parking lot which wasn’t too pricey. Room was nice. Fridge wasn’t plugged in for some reason… but no biggie. Nothing complementary but that’s okay. It’s a more laid back environment.

Based on the branding and the moderate per day pricing, I was disappointed. I booked a family stay in Camden and chose the Hilton Garden Inn based on the Hilton branding and proximity to local family. Upon my arrival, I was surprised to learn that the $200 per night hotel did not have a swimming pool. Since I did not research in advance, that was my caveat emptor moment. The elevator signaling button fell from the wall when I pushed the "Up" button to go to my assigned room. Once in the elevator, the wall paneling bowed when leaned against. Trying to put these issues behind, I went to the front desk to prepare a report for my trip to Washington, DC. The attendant informed me that the business center was "broken" and unavailable. I left the area to have a glass of water and gather myself. I then returned and asked the attendant how long has the business center been "broken". She stated, "Three months". Fortunately, that was our last currently planned, and future planned, stay at the Hilton Garden Inn. I could only leave with the question, "If you do not have facilities for families AND you do not have facilities for business travelers, WHAT IS YOUR PURPOSE?" Yes, there was basic shelter provided, for which I would have paid much less at most anywhere else in the surrounding area. If you seek a hastily constructed dormitory for American Water Company and surrounding companies the Hilton Garden Inn was built for you.

Don't charge me to park my car in a lot that is on your premises. That's an insult for a faithful Hilton Honors member in a hotel that isn't in a city center.

All the folks that worked there are very friendly. Secure parking was a plus.

It was such a beautiful stay the room looked out to the water amazing staff was nice it was clean the only thing the bathroom floor was not that clean had hair on it that was not ours that’s the only issue otherwise then that it was very nice I will be staying here from now on

Shower door didn’t close. Also shower wasn’t clean. Hair and dirt was visible around perimeter of the shower. Ordered breakfast and received a McDonald’s sausage biscuit a hash brown in our order.

The hotel was overall pretty nice! The waterfront was beautiful. The restaurant was very convenient and had good food. The bed was cozy and the AC ran cold! My only negative was there was a large coffee stain on our bedding, which unfortunately we did not see until we had already slept in the bed.

My stay was amazing! The room was very clean, with a perfect view, and the lobby and hallways were spotless as well. The hotel overall was excellent, and the staff were not only amazing but also very helpful throughout my stay.

Staff was excellent every interaction, my only complaint would be the lobby being so warm especially during 90 degree days in July. The air conditioner in the room always turned off so when you came back from walking around in 95 degrees your room was a sauna. It did cool down quickly but you want and pay $220 a night to have a cool room to come back to. Everything was clean and wonderful.

Complimentary internet service was down during my stay. Also, this place is so new and “updated” that some explanation for how to move around the hotel is necessary, especially for older people like myself. I was give zero instruction and when I went back to ask for help, I was just given words instead of the front desk person walking the short distance to the elevator. Just a good way to step up customer service.

Unfortunately, and it isn't the their fault, this hotel has an army of motorcycles and cars that rev their engines on the road right in front, and they do this from about 10pm until 4am. The police come, they put up barricades, and the bikes just go around them and rev their engines and play really loud music. It is like fast and the furious happening right outside the hotel. We were on the 5th floor and you might as well have been right on the street. No one was able to sleep and we were exhausted trying to see Philadelphia each day. It was a lot of money overall - the hotel plus the parking $25 per day plus how much it is to leave and go into the city, and breakfast isn't included... you end up spending more than if you just stayed downtown for a little more and paid a little more for parking. It is nice that you can walk to the aquarium and battleship, but it would be cheaper to stay downtown and just go there one day. Some examples, for a family of four Boat to the city, $12 each so $48 Subway, $2.50 each, both ways, $20 Car, $6.00 to cross the bridge +20 to park Driving downtown is hard and takes a long time to go just a couple miles... So in all, i can't really recommend staying there to save money, next time i would stay downtown and spend the extra, then you can just take the tourist phlash bus for $12 for the whole family. The motorcycles really ruin it. The staff are wonderful and very friendly and helpful that's for sure. Just can't sleep.

Check in using the app was great and being able to pay in advance for parking made it easy. The room had a great view and was clean with a comfortable mattress. This was my second stay at this Hilton and won’t be my last.

The property smelled nice and was quite modern. Overall, it was a good stay with a few minor inconveniences. First, I miss the days when hotels had free parking. Having to pay $25 to stay overnight is frustrating when you're already paying for a room. Second, the bathroom door was a sliding door with a sizable gap! Anyone in the room could look through the gap without trying and see the person on the toilet. HUGE design flaw! It looks like they tried to fill it with some sort of foam or insulation but it wasn't nearly wide enough. Otherwise, it was a good stay. We were on the 4th floor and it was pretty quiet, the room was a good size, and they had a fair amount of drawers for your stuff. The fridge didn't feel very cold but was in working order.

Restaurant was adequate, limited choices outside the hotel unless you want to drive. Room was quiet. Really, the biggest plus is the view - Philly skyline.

Check in was quick and easy, and the front desk staff were friendly and helpful. The room itself was okay - just your regular, semi-rundown hotel room with one thing of note to us: very bouncy mattresses. We’re used to firm memory foam so that was an adjustment. The main reason for the 2 star review: the riverside street that the hotel is located on is apparently a prime location for strange neon-lit, 3 wheeler vehicles to hang out in large gangs and blast LOUD music (and rev engines) while they slowly drive around in circles. This went on ALL NIGHT and could be heard very clearly from the riverfront hotel room. I kept expecting to hear police sirens to break up the party but that never happened. Due to this, we of course did not get any sleep and therefore will definitely not be staying at this hotel, or anywhere in this vicinity, ever again.

Great place to stay with the concert right there. Second time

Booked and paid for a room with two queen beds months in advance. Called on the day of check-in, to let the property know we would be arriving around 11 PM and to confirm that everything was set for our reservation. Was assured the reservation was taken care of, and that our room would be waiting. Upon check-in, we were told there were no rooms available. Then a room was found for us, but it had a single bed. I was charged full price for my reservation, despite one of our party members needing to sleep on the floor. The following morning we spoke to a manager, who assured us we would be receiving at least a 50% refund. Only to then get an email from hotels.com saying that we were getting no refund. We attempted to have breakfast at the restaurant, we sat for more than an hour without receiving our food. Eventually, the order had to be canceled because we needed to be at our next destination at a set time in order for our reservation. Another manager came and spoke to us as we were trying to pay for our drinks and head out, and assured us somebody would be reaching out to discuss the issue with the room. And to make sure the refund went through. The hotel itself was conveniently located to the event site we were at. Appeared to be clean, and the one member of our party who had a bed to sleep in, said it was comfortable. The woman who checked us in was kind and courteous, and did the best she could given the circumstances.

There was a convention going on & it was obvious they were short staffed.

Regrettably, my recent experience at the hotel was exceptionally poor, resulting in a zero-star rating. Despite booking two weeks in advance through Expedia, upon checking in, I was informed that the hotel was fully booked and had no available room for me. I was traveling with my parents, both over the age of 60. The front desk employee, Fatimah, exhibited rudeness and inattention. She engaged in conversations with other guests while I was the first in line and was speaking to her. Her justification for the situation was that six additional guests were expected to arrive but had not yet secured a room. The only solution she offered was to wait in a seat, hoping for a cancellation. The customer service provided by the hotel was appalling. After 30 minutes, Expedia only offered a refund, which was inconvenient given that I was over 80 miles from home and it was approaching midnight. Furthermore, the majority of hotels in the vicinity were either booked or offered significantly higher rates, tripling the original cost of my reservation.

All the staff at the Hilton Garden Inn Camden were super friendly and helpful. One of the most pleasant stays at a hotel that I've had in many years. Everything was just perfect.

We arrived and they had no room for us. They said they had oversold and there is nothing they could do. We spent the night seated in the lobby and had to book a room for the next day

Decent stay. Only negative thing is that some of the employees were not the friendliest and a little too busy socializing with each other when I stood at the front desk waiting for help. Otherwise it was good. The view of the Ben Franklin bridge lit up at night was really something!

Overall this hotel was ok but I was disappointed by the service provided by some of the staff. The woman who checked us in was dismissive and really unwelcoming. She didn't offer any information about the hotel and it's facilities and seemed annoyed when I asked questions. The other women working the desk later on throughout the stay were nice and helpful however.

Excellent place to stay to avoid Philly! If you're venturing to NJ for a concert or event at Freedom Mortgage Pavilion, look NO FURTHER! Beautiful walk by the water and you're at the pavilion in 15 minutes!

Great location. Just over the Ben Franklin bridge from downtown Philly. You can catch some amazing sunsets over the Philly skyline from the waterfront walkway across the street from the hotel Staff were exceptionally friendly & helpful. I would definitely stay again.

We love this hotel for its beautiful views, clean rooms, and friendly staff. Quick walk to Bain's Deli, Adventure Aquarium, and the Riverlink Ferry.

The hotel itself is very nice. Just a heads up tho, every uber driver we had was very clear to us that this is a very unsafe neighborhood and not to walk around at night. We did not feel unsafe but it was clear to us that this is not a safe neighborhood.

The Hilton Garden Inn is the Diamond in the rough. The Shorefront is lovely and in much better condition since our last visit. We go here about once a year for concerts at the Freedom Mortgage Pavilion that is about a 10 minute walk away. Camden can be a rough neighborhood but we’ve never felt unsafe. The aquarium, Rutgers and other attractions are close by and the hotel and staff agave always been great to us.

I really loved the area. The property overlooks a beautiful riverside park. We came up for the My Chemical Romance concert at Citizen Bank Park. Only 7 minutes to the venue made this spot a diamond in the philidelphia area.

We loved this hotel. The location was beautiful on the waterfront. The rooms were very clean as was the hotel. The food in the restaurant was very good. I would recommend this hotel highly.

breakfast should be better for $50. It should be gourmet. I ordered eggs over easy the eggs were OK home fries should have had onions in it. Corn beef hash was overcooked. My sister ordered pancakes not that good. The bacon was very salty. For this type of hotel, the food has to be perfect and tasteful. for the price that you’re charging. there is a restaurant in Haddon Township called Legacy diner their breakfast was spectacular. Also, lots more variety. When we first went into the bathroom, which was the disabled room. one of the dresser drawers had underwear and socks in it. Supervisors should be checking the rooms after the housekeeper cleans them.

Breakfast was kinda cold , it looks like there’s one cooker in the kitchen . Other than that the waitress was nice .

Fabulous hotel with the most amazing bridge views, right on the water front! Hotel was clean and staff were great. Would not go back to the restaurant again, service was terrible and food was just ok. There is an espresso maker in the hotel lobby which was nice because local coffee options are limited.

I really appreciate the effort the hotel staff provided into making our stay enjoyable. Every question we had was answered fully. The only recommendation I would have is to adjust the hotel dining experience. We were told that breakfast was included, when in fact the dining hall attached to the hotel only gave a discount for hotel guests.
