Tru By Hilton Baltimore Harbor East, MD

Very clean and nice hotel about a mile from the hospital. The little gym was nice. The coffee was always flowing. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable. Parking was affordable and right across the street. We even had a great view from the room. We will stay there again if we need a place up there.

If you are staying in Baltimore on a weekend, and want to be close to Little Italy, the Inner Harbor or Fells Point, give this hotel strong consideration (with some caveats)! Pros: - The most reasonably priced hotel in close proximity to downtown, hands down - Although your room rate does not include parking, there is a parking garage right across the street with very reasonable weekend rates - The hotel is clean and modern, and the common areas are nice and open. Rooms have nice touches like coat hooks and open hanging space (I had a jacket and slacks to hang, very easy) - The staff are polite and very responsive - for example, we wanted an extra pillow, called down to the front desk and got no answer, I figure they are busy. In about a minute the front desk calls back, and in under 5 minutes I have an extra pillow Caveats: - The rooms are on the small side, and our room had only had a bed and a desk chair for sitting. If you're just crashing at night, this may not be an issue. - This hotel is pet friendly, and has a "dog floor", which means there might be unwanted dog noises. We asked to be moved because the next room over had yippy dogs, and we got a new room on a new floor quickly (staff is responsive!) - Breakfast is OK, eggs were meh Tips: - When you arriving at the hotel, come from the south on S. Central and pull into the "drop off lane" on the right as soon as you cross Eastern Ave to unload OR make left into Little Italy Garage. - Whole Foods is really close!

Very clean, easy parking, and could walk to Inner Harbor. Walked to great restaurants! Tru also offers free breakfast and free coffee and tea.all day.

Property was clean with a fresh modern look. Staff was exceptional- professional, friendly, helpful, very welcoming! Nighttime view of the Baltimore skyline was very nice! Breakfast was fresh and nicely presented. 24 hour coffee/tea service in the lobby(which included hot chocolate-great for guests with kids!), was a nice touch. Will definitely recommend and will stay again when visiting Baltimore.

Overall a good experience, property was clean and well-maintained. Breakfast was great thanks to Rodrigo, who was very attentive. Only drawback is that the hotel has no parking lot and you have to pay $18 to park overnight in the lot across the street. This is mentioned, but it is still overall a drawback for the site.

The gaming room is not much of anything and misleading online. One of the reasons i picked this hotel was because i thought the game room would be fun for the kids however it was not as it appeared to be and the staff seemed to know this was a common misconception about the hotel when booking. Room was small.

Really wonderful interior design in both the lobby and rooms. Good breakfast buffet. Lots of interesting snack and beverage options for sale at front desk after hours. Free coffee and hot chocolate 24/7. Excellent fitness center. Only downside is having to pay for public garage parking across street ($18-$25).

Definitely could have been cleaner. Room was not clean, common areas needed a good cleaning and vacuum. room did not get cleaned during stay so my trash was overflowing due to the small trash cans in the room. Trash cans in common areas were overflowing. Staff were amazing and friendly and close proximity to inner harbor.

Staff was super friendly the grounds outside and the surrounding areas are very nice very clean and very pleasing to the eyes. The only problem that I had was that there were funny smells in the lobby area and when I got off on my floor. It smells of mold and mildew and sometimes just funk. I don't know if it was because it was the weekend but there was a lot of foot traffic and I didn't particularly care for it but nothing horrible happened so I guess it's okay. The room itself was very clean.

I suppose this property is supposed to cater to a younger crowd. At my age I was unprepared for the visual aspects that don’t fit with my idea of a Hilton property. That’s on me, though. The price was great, the staff was courteous. The only downer was finding a dirty washcloth hanging in the bathroom.

The room was spacious. The staff was friendly. The property is clean all over, although the elevator had some unpleasant smells.

I’ve stayed at this location a few times because it’s always been great. But this time it wasn’t. The room stunk of cigarette smoke that was coming through the vent. We were on the 8th floor too. We left a pizza box on the table and the next day found it was covered in ants. I was truly taken aback because of how nice it was in the past. I am considering staying elsewhere in the future which is disappointing because I really liked this location..

You walk-in and noticed how disgusting the carpet is. It was filthy. The hallways smell awful. The room was just ok. A bit confusing at best. The room smells bad, but not as bad as the bathroom which smelled like urine that hadn’t been cleaned ever. Please do not waste your money here.

We were there for a medical procedure. It is close to Johns Hopkins which was great. The front desk staff was welcoming. The rooms are nice. The breakfast was very good. Small refrigerator in the room. I wish the room had a small microwave and coffee maker in the room. To reheat food. However there is coffee downstairs. Not sure about a microwave. Ice machine is only on first and forth floors. It was our second time staying there. I would stay there again.

The staff are pleasant and helpful. But it is not a quiet hotel. The walls are very thin and we could hear next door's footsteps, TV, and all. Our neighbor had their TV on and I could tell which movie they were watching. The breakfast was ok, the eggs were too dry, not many seatings, not many selection, but it was free. I probably will not stay there again, I would prefer somewhere with thick walls.

The property was very clean and modern looking. It was in a convenient location for our events. The only negative I have, is we reserved a king bed but im sure we were given a queen bed. The bed was also very hard.

Room was fine but if i was staying longer there wasnt much room to unpack clothes and store them.

The room itself was in good condition. The check-in and check-out process was a disaster. The staff did not seem to have procedures for two people sharing a room with different names, and both of our credit cards were charged the full amount after check-out. For a hotel in a major city, I would hope that there are better procedures for managing reservations and payment.

Property was clean. The night auditor/manager was rude, condescending, & egotistical. We came in after midnight. He told me a “tidbit” to call & let them know we will be late. I nicely explained that I called & spoke to a girl a day ago & specifically told her that our flight would be in around 11:30 so we would be in after midnight. He then goes to tell me that I need to be specific & let her know that I will be there after midnight. I said I did that. He looks at the notes & sees that the girl put in that I would be a late arrival but that I need to tell her I would be in after midnight. I gently said it again that I did. I didn’t say it with a tone but just stated I did exactly that. He goes on to tell me that he could sell my room. I said, “Even though I prepaid & called to let you guys know we would be late?” He said yes even though I prepaid. He said he is the night auditor & he is in control. He is the one that can decide to sell it & if one calls to complain that the call will just go to him. He obviously doesn’t understand customer service. I am more in shock that he would talk to a customer in this “helpful” way. He then continues telling me another “tidbit” that one should not get upset because he had another lady get upset. I did not say anything mean. I have travelled all over the world & stay in 20 hotel nights a year & this was a first. I will NEVER stay in a TRU again.

Front desk told me at 7:45pm that they didn’t have access to the cleaning service closet after hours when I asked for a hair dryer that worked. Not acceptable.

Front desk staff is always friendly, competent and helpful. We have had multiple great experiences at this hotel!

Everything was amazing about the stay ! The only reason we gave it a 3 starts in because at 8:50 am someone walked into our room without knocking and we even had the do not disturb sign up. It was a terrifying way to wake up ! We had until noon, what was the rush ?

Check in was horrible. There was a large group in front of us. We waited 30 minutes before being helped, with no apology or courtesy.

The staff was very kind and helpful. This was the second time to stay here and I will definitely come back.

I have been a Hilton Honor Member for over 15 years, but the staff said she cannot find my information and doesn't even give me a bottled water! Also, the checking in is pretty slow and low efficiency.

Everything was okay I guess for the most part I always stay here but what bothered me the most was the Night Auditor Brian. Me and my bf grabbed food from LOMBARTI’S, we grabbed lemon pepper wings we save some for the room to eat we went ahead and placed them on the counter in the lobby. Brian assure us that no one will bother it. We went out to the patio to smoke after we came in our food was gone😔 we checked the trash just because it was 4am and only Brian was in the lobby our food ended up being in the trash we noticed there was no bones of evidence it’s funny but really sad. we asked Brian what happened he act like he didn’t know then when we wanted to make a complaint he didn’t want to apply us one, instead he offered us hush money for the trouble of our food being eaten. Ughhh I talked to the manager this morning about it hopefully it gets resolved other than that the bathroom wasn’t clean I just was irritated this stay so glad it was for 1 day $210 for this.

Great hotel with nice amenities. Simple, modern and clean. I would definitely stay here again. Guests should maintain awareness of their surroundings. From exiting the lobby to the right, a sketchy neighborhood begins right there. To the left, the area has been revitalized, and the walk to the harbor was very comfortable and safe-feeling.

Clean and new. Good location - close to little Italy and a ten minute walk to fells point.

The hotel was great. The are was ok. About 10-15 walk to inner harbor. Or only about 5-10 walk to the closest CCC ( free bus) stop which will take you just about anywhere you want to go maybe with a short walk or a transfer to another bus.

The hotel us placed right in the middle of the Inner Harbor, (Little Italy Area). If you like walking, its the hotel just for you! Parking garage is conveniently across the street. Numerous places to dine!!!

This is a good location if you have an appointment at Johns Hopkins Medical Center. We found it to be clean, comfortable and accessible to the harbor and the hospital. The staff seemed very nice during all interactions.

Great location for Little Italy

Stayed for a long weekend, great location for the aquarium and the inner harbor access!

Great place to stay for our overnight stay before departing on a cruise. Affordable and secure parking structure across the street for $5 to park. Hotel was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was decent. Hotel is within walking distance to many restaurants. A bit further from the inner harbor area than I would have preferred, but overall a perfect stay for one night.

Just there to sleep, one night and have breakfast. Sleep was comfortable. Breakfast had a very good buffet of breakfast choices which I appreciated.

Great stay. It was a pleasant experience except for the parking. The token machine wasn't working to exit the garage and we were held up because the attendant had to help us manually with the payment. The breakfast could have been a bit more palatable too. It seemed like Tru Hotel execs tried to get the cheapest food they could find to feed their guests with. I've seen this not only at True Hotels but at others as well so I wasn't surprised. Other than that, the stay was great.

We stayed here while we were in town for a show at Ottobar, which was a quick and easy Lyft from here. The National Aquarium was a short walk away, along with the other inner harbor attractions. We had a great experience at the hotel! Marquitta checked us in and was super friendly and helpful, she made suggestions and answered all our questions. Our room was small, but very clean. Beds were comfortable, bathroom was spacious and breakfast was good! Love the little pancake maker machine in the lobby. Parking across the street was easy and reasonably priced. Be sure to give yourself extra time during your trip to check out Little Italy, we wish we had!
