For Canadians with EV cars - DO NOT BOOK THIS HOTEL. There are four chargers on site, only two working, but NONE are available to Canadians, because the SkyCharger app IS NOT available to download for Canadian visitors. The staff was clueless how it all works. This hotel was booked specifically for a reason to charge the car overnight. But… at 11:30 pm I had to drive 20 minutes one way to a nearest Supercharger. If I knew this situation in advance, I would’ve used the same charger on a way to a hotel. But the property’s website didn’t care to mention the details. Plus, the guests have to pay to charge their cars - it’s not complimentary. That was news as well. The room was very neat and clean, but the breakfast was almost nonexistent - a few bagels, one type of cereal, juice of questionable quality, and pancakes. For that money I would have stayed in a much bet hotel closer to the city.

It’s a great little hotel located in Amsterdam, New York. The rooms are spacious, clean, modern as are the bathrooms. They are always cleaning the hotel every day I saw somebody wiping down the doors of the elevator and the inside the elevator. The lobby is warm and inviting with an electric fireplace in the wall and large screen TV. Great value.

This properly seems brand new. It is right off the Thruway in Amsterdam, NY. It has 4 level 2 car chargers, they seem to be free. Breakfast was "hot" but really just microwaved eggs, sausage and potatoes, much better than a cold continental breakfast. There is nothing near the hotel except for a gas station, everything is on the other side of the river. Parking was very easy, lots of spaces. I would stay again.

This is a great hotel. Easy on and off the thruway if you need it. Courteous staff and easy check in. Pretty property and landscaping. Nice gazebo and picnic tables out back. Scenic. The rooms are modern and bright with clean rooms and comfortable beds. Nice shower and soaps, body wash and moisturizer included. Nice hot shower. Complimentary breakfast that is actually very good. It's really nice here. I highly recommend this hotel for any stay.

Driving up it was obvious that the property was cared for. Lots of parking. Clean front and lobby. Check-in was fast and friendly. Room was basic but very well appointed, modern, and welcoming. Breakfast was good. Only problem - no restaurants nearby. Convenience store belonging to the gas station next to the property was adequate.

Rooms were micro sized-must be where they got the name from. You could barely walk around the bed. Bathroom was cramped. Loved the front desk lady that checked us in. Gave us great suggestions and was good at remembering details. She had a Brooklyn-like accent. Breakfast was a let down. The hard boiled eggs were way over cooked and probably old. No white bread. Pancake maker was cool. Only whole milk available. Bananas were at the point of “it’s time to make banana bread.” We threw away pretty much everything we took except the pancakes because it was so bad. Won’t be staying at a microtel again, I’m scared they’re all going to be like that. My bedroom at home is bigger. Expected more bang for my buck.

The condition of the property and the breakfast were good. Staff was nice. The bed and pillows were uncomfortable but the worst part was how noisy it was. With so many trucks going by and so much traffic, we barely slept at all. Even though all was clean and well taken care of, not being able to sleep was awful.

We needed a place to stay after a visit to Cooperstown and on the way to Boston. This hotel is newer and clean and convenient. After a long travel day, we ordered pizza and ate in the lobby since there wasn’t a place to eat in the room. The front desk clerk brought us plates and napkins which was so nice. Breakfast in the morning was quick and easy and we were back on the road. Everything was as advertised, would stay again if in the area.

We wish there were dishes, utensils and a pan for the nice kitchen which included an induction cooktop and dishwasher along with the refrigerator and microwave. The room was modern and very clean. Lacked a place to set luggage, had to use the bed.

The property is in great condition! Renee at the front desk is fabulous! She is welcoming and accommodating and very knowledgeable about the area. The rooms are spacious and immaculate. Breakfast is perfect, coffee delicious! When in Amsterdam, we will only stay here!

This was our first stay at any Microtel, and we’re now a fan. Lisa greeted us warmly when we checked in later at night than expected. She very thoughtfully told us about dining options in the area that were still open and gave us extra towels and blankets to make sure we were going to be comfortable during the unexpected cold spell. She is the reason why I think so highly of this hotel and will book here again. Thanks, Lisa!

Excellent service from the woman at the front desk. We chatted about Ontario while she checked us in. She gave us excellent restaurant suggestions and we were pleased with the one we picked - Rustic Loft Pub and Grill. Our room was comfortable and clean and quiet. Our plugged toilet was dealt with quickly and efficiently. Breakfast was fine - nothing outstanding. Staff in breakfast room wasn't very friendly.

I pulled into the Microtel during a blizzard and felt so lucky to find it! The front desk people were so kind, efficient, and helpful. My room was spotless, the bed was super firm and comfortable, and the property was beautifully quiet. There isn't much within walking distance (only a convenience store) but the front desk person gave me a list of restaurants that would deliver (or door dash). And, very close to thruway. Definitely a great value and stay, and would work well for a visit to the nearby Adirondacks, Saratoga, or Albany. Or, refuge from a storm!

This is a very nice cozy Hotel. Perfect for our quick stay to watch a couple Concerts at SPAC. Easy drive, took about 40 minutes on a nice county highway. We would definitely stay here again. Clerk made a reco for Wings at Shortys - they did NOT disappoint - perfectly cooked and tasty sauces !
