Hyatt Place Dallas/Rockwall

Staff is excellent. Well run hotel with great happy hour. Super nice front desk staff. Each front desk person was warm and super professional.

Needed a hotel for the night and this location worked out great. Plenty of parking, close to shopping and restaurants. The hotel was clean and service was friendly.

Wonderful rooms. Nice bar and friendly staff! Always very satisfied!

Great stay but major inconvenience with the elevator being down and being placed on the 3rd floor. Carrying bags and knee issues don’t make stairs and me friends.

Overall, staff and service was excellent but the elevator was out of service for all my stay.

The elevator stayed out and I have a heart condition I can keep climbing 3 flights of stairs it was just too much

Everything was very good except that the elevator was out for about a day and a half. We were on the fourth floor so we had a little walking to do, but at least we didn’t have to haul the suitcases up. I felt badly for older people or people with suitcases.

I find soap piece smashed in the tub. Is a double bed and sofa bed. Meaning at lease 6 people will be there. We were 4 and only 3 wash cloths, hair in the tub and floors. And in a 4th of July weekend I needed a getaway I liked the pool here in the pictures because I had booked at the Hilton across the street but wanted quiet location so because pool I choose this hotel but it was out of service no notice until I got to the hotel after driving two hours on 4th of July I didn’t expect that. Kids disappointed, had to drive to a water park. So nope I didn’t had a good experience

The pool was closed the entire stay and elevators were not working at one point.

I expected way better being a Hyatt but was disappointed. The staff members working the front desk were great, professional, friendly, and made the experience the only good thing about this hotel. Upon getting into our room we quickly noticed it was not clean. There was food and dirt all arpund the beds. Also upon opening the mini fridge there was half drank drinks that were never cleaned out that we tossed in the trash to make room for our items. We quickly told the front desk who sent someone to clean the room while we were at dinner. Upon coming back from dinner they advised it was cleaned up. When entering our room we noticed it was half ass cleaned with the drinks still in the trash and all only a little of the food and dirt picked up around the beds. We advised the front desk who came and took pictures stating they would be compensating us. We were never compensated upon our depature of the hotel. Also while we were there when going into the bathroom we quickly noticed that the sink overflow drain had black mold in it. Overall i expect way better from the Hyatt especially for the price we paid. I would quickly put this hotel in the category of an americans best value inn type of quality. Sad to say we will never stay at this location again.

They never cleaned or tidied the room during the 3 nights we stayed.

Staff was friendly. It was a very clean hotel except for getting a good clean in our room. We had to ask for clean towels more than once.

Everything was nice & clean, would totally stay here again!

Rooms looked un-dust and the sheets smelled used

Had this reservation not been non-refundable, I would have cancelled it!!! Had a negative visit 10 days earlier... but that was not enough to prepare me for this one. I arrived exhausted and was ready to go to bed quickly, but took the time to go get some dinner, and then unpacked for the night. Found the floor seemed dirty (could feel the dirt on my feet!). Fortunately, the light was still on and my eyes still open when I pulled back the sheets. The fitted sheet was covered in a LOT of black fuzzies, looking like the sheets were left from the previous guest. Upon closer inspection, turned out at least one of the "fuzzies" was actually a bed bug!!! Fortunately, the front desk was able to move me to another room, but it was on another floor. Nothing like having to gather all your stuff to move to another room at 10PM/11PM, just so you can settle into another room. Will NOT make the mistake of staying here (or any Hyatt Place) ever again!!!

The hotel room had a bed bug. No towels upon arrival. Most staff were friendly but will not return.

Nice sized room and amenities ..We were disappointed with the fact that due to the cleaning schedule (every other day and not on Sundays)...our room was not cleaned during our 3 night stay. We arrived on Friday to a clean space but it was not cleaned during our stay at all & the towels were not replaced until Sunday. We asked about the desk associate during breakfast about fresh towels and though she said she would have them replaced, we had to go back down to request them from management when we returned late that night to dirty towels and no replacements. Breakfast options were just ok. Refrigerator did not stay cool.

Stayed at this property several times. The only problems I have had in the past is the internet is terrible. Unable to work during my stay. Elevator issues the last 2 times I stayed. May choose another hotel due to these issues the next time I'm in the area. Great location, awesome breakfast, clean.

Clean, comfortable and really nice place! Great breakfast set up! Only flaw, no microwave in rooms. Had to go to the 3rd floor to use the one they have in laundry room. Otherwise, really liked the place

Lovely room, comfortable bed. Only negative is the extremely noisy and inefficient aircon in the room.

The room was spacious & very clean. I was surprised the room didn’t have a microwave but it was one located on the same floor. That was convenient but not quite the same.

Was clean, big rooms and comfortable bed. Paper thin walls is my only complaint. I got to listen to the neighbors tv all night.

Very clean property. I didn’t like that the walls are very thin. I could hear people talking in the hallway while I was in my room with the door closed. Otherwise, great property with great staff

I was very disappointed to find out the AC in your room only comes on when you are in it and "moving" around. everyday we came back into the room it was off and hot then would come in with us in the room. When we were sleeping it got hot, I guess because we were not moving around. the hallways and elevators were very hot. I understand it's the heat of the summer, but when you have the AC set at a certain temp in your room, it should stay cool for when you get back and certainly while sleeping.

The hotel was nice overall. It was clean, and the staff was pleasant, and the room looked nice. However the bed was soft, but when I laid down it was like a board was pressing into my lower back. I could not find a comfortable spot anywhere on the bed. I ended up "sleeping" sitting up on the couch. It was quite possibly the worst night of sleep I've ever had.

Room was clean, common areas clean. My only complaint is the ac shuts off while you’re gone or asleep. It’s really annoying having to walk around to keep the ac from shutting off. Saves the company money but punishes the consumer in the process. Will not ever stay here again due to the inconvenience as a guest. They care more about their money than they do the comfort of their guests. I hope they shut off their ac while they are gone or asleep since they do that to their guests. But I guarantee you they have all their amenities on, even at homes they aren’t staying in at the moment. Greed at its finest.

This hotel’s scanners were down and they could not provide keys to guests who booked through 3rd party sites. Staff had to open our door for us each time we got to the room. They also didn’t clean our room our entire stay even though we specifically requested cleaning. When we ran out of towels, we were asked to come down and get some. We will more than likely not stay here again.

Emma, the front desk was amazing and very helpful. She was friendly and answered any questions that we had. Great customer service skills!

the place was spotless, the staff were sweet and helpful, but there werent enough of them. Seems to me for a hotel of this size there should be two people at the desk So if one of them has to help with an emergency, the desk is not empty for long with a note As soon as I checked in I was informed the card reader was not working. I asked what about cash but was told since the register isnt working, No. So no snacks, not even water.I was told there is no restaurant due to this. It was never open excpet for the breakfast. then I was told there were two restaurants walking distance , yes but they were up a steep hill lol

Worst check-in experience ever. Arrived at 6pm. Went into room and it only had a very thin see-through shade covering the entire window, no curtains or privacy shade. We called front desk and asked to change rooms as we needed something more than a see-through window shade. We were told they were fully booked and no other rooms were available. I asked if a privacy shade could be added. I was told they could put in a work-order but it would not be fixed today, and we were only staying for one night. I understood they were fully booked but since it was only 6pm had every room been checked into already since this room did not have what was advertised and needed? We were told since we had already gone into the room it was contaminated and we could not change rooms since they could not give that room to anyone else now. I'm not sure how you can see what's wrong with a room without going in? We were told the only other option was to not stay there and request a refund. Then try to find a room on a Saturday night at another hotel with no notice, and during a busy holiday weekend. While discussing my frustration with the manager he was rude and offered no help. He accused me of calling him a name in front of the front desk lady. Which the front desk lady had to tell him I never did. Then he tried to apologize for falsely accusing me of it. All of this at the front desk check-in area. Completely unprofessional. WILL NEVER STAY THERE AGAIN. DO NO RECOMMEND.

The Staff at the Hyatt where very rude and not helpful at all. Gregory is who we checked in with the first night and every time we asked a question he would come back very short and was rude in his response like our simple question was an inconvenience for him and taking him away from him laughing and cutting up with his friends. We were very unhappy with our stay and didnt ever want to come back or stay at a hyatt again.

Hyatt Place Dallas/Rockwall was great. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was very good. The rooms were nice and clean. Overall we had a great time and will come back again.

Loved it! This is our second time staying here and will stay again when in Rockwall. Room was clean and bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was great and staff was friendly and courteous. Hotel is conveniently located; very quiet even though it's just off the interstate. Wonderful stay, highly recommend!

This is the best hotel in the area for price in my opinion. It's very nice, clean, spacious rooms, and very friendly staff. The location is great, it's about a two minute drive from The Harbor which is where we spend most of our time.

Quite and easy in and out with easy parking. Convenient location close to everything but a little away from the crowded, very busy area.

Feels like a studio apartment there for the price of a basic hotel night. Compared to others, this one feels modern and has a solid breakfast menu.

Morning breakfast was terrible. The scrambled egg very dry.

The room was spotless and very up to date. The breakfast was very good.

Check in was easy. The room was clean; plenty of towels. But I’d recommend skipping the free breakfast, and just have coffee. Not sure what the “meat” was on the buffet, but it wasn’t real bacon.

Clean room. Friendly front desk staff. Lack of breakfast food on the morning after holiday was disappointing. We book hotels with breakfast for eating the breakfast. No coffee or eggs before end of breakfast service time. Everyone came down late after late night celebrating 4th to find not much food and not being replenished because 15 minutes before end of window. That will keep us from staying here again for holidays with friends in area.

Great rooms and breakfast!

Overall, a nice facility. The front desk staff were very accommodating, as we had a family emergency that did not allow one of us to stay in the room. They allowed me to take a to-go breakfast each morning for them...until the dining room staff intervened after being RUDE and not understanding of the situation. The last day, the dining room magically 'ran out' of to-go containers when the front desk went to get one for me. Needless to say, I found a way to take food with me that morning. As stated, the front desk staff were very nice and understanding...the dining room staff needs some compassion education as pertaining to the customer service delivery expected of a hotel/motel establishment

This Hyatt Place is in a great location. Loads of dining options, shopping options,and easy access. They serve a good breakfast with a lot of food options. But most importantly, the entire staff was very friendly, and accommodating. The front desk staff was always welcoming and helpful. I give them 10 stars!
