It was a brief stay for us, arriving on Friday afternoon, out with friends for the evening and left 6.30am Saturday. However, we were amazed at what we git for the money. Bedroom with extra large bed, 2 arm chairs. Kitchen with table, 2 chairs, fridge, dishwasher etc., dressing room. Unfortunately, probably due to restrictions put on the building, the bathroom was on the small side to the point where there was no space for a door on the shower just a curtain. I would definitely stay again and probably for longer, a great base for a couple. Great location, right opposite the Minster. Plenty of car parks around and the Minster car park opposite the place. Great nights sleep in that extra large bed. We were worried about noise on a Friday night as our room was at the front facing the Minster and they had tables out the front. Pleased to report we heard verh little and not enough to keep us awake. You do have to take in to account its an old building, possibly listed, probably with lots of restrictions on things like windows - sash windows, so it won't please those who like ultra modern.

Grat Location, fabulous room - with generous bath in the bedroom and great shower in bathroom. Brilliant, attentive staff. Some noise from the bar/restaurant downstairs, but stopped from 21:30. The restaurant is great, food was exceptional.

The Wenns is a pub with spacious suites on the second floor. Because you are above a pub, it gets noisy, especially with wide open windows in the summer (no AC, we are in England, after all!). The suites have been renovated, albeit are still quirky. The hotel is serviced by the staff that manages the pub and hence, it isn’t quite dedicated to the hotel part. No late check in. No staff on premises overnight. Kitchen closes really early on weekdays (they were closed by the time we arrived, hungry after a day’s travel). Pubs does get busy. With all of this said, the location of the Wenns can’t be beat! The flowers out front a so charming too.

Good location in town opposite the Minster. Parking (Pay and Display) opposite the pub for £2/night. Fairly quiet considering its location and above a pub. Finishes serving food at 8pm with absolutely no flexibility. Thankfully, there are many good restaurants nearby that serve food until 9.30pm. Toiletries in the room were limited.

Check on was quick and easy. Room was comfortable, although access was a little awkward. Parking was off site around 150 yards awsy, although we were lucky to find a spot right outside for overnight. Ideal location for the centre of town.

This was our second stay at The Wenns Chop & Ale House. We are locals and know the town very well! By far the best value, well-located, personable & the venue with the nicest staff in town! The apartments are really well-equipped with their own heating systems, kitchens, sitting areas & views of The Minster. The food is amazing & great value too. Forget the rest. Book here & book a table for dinner as well.

Check in was quick and easy. The staff were friendly and very helpful. The apartment we were allocated was spotless and comfortable. Despite being above the bar area it was very quiet so we had a great sleep. The property is right next to the Minster with the town centre right on the doorstep with most places of interest within walking distance. Things to note: the property is not suitable for those with mobility issues as there are a number of stairs and no lift - it’s an old building. Parking out the front is short stay and quite expensive - the parking attendants are very keen so don’t risk getting a ticket. There is a long stay car park just a short walk away with better rates. Those staying for a few days might want to consider a 7 day Rover ticket - available online - which costs less than £30 - better value and less hassle than having to go to the parking meter to top up your ticket on a daily basis.

We try to stay here every month as it’s a great dog friendly pub with self contained rooms and the pub is fab! Staff are lovely and never had any issues with the rooms.

Well located accommodation at the top of the High Street. Friendly and helpful staff. We were upgraded to a suite; lovely spacious rooms, with cooking facilities and jacuzzi. Some elements could be better; the room was not as clean as it could've been and needed some TLC, but nothing too major. Then again, it's the small things we notice most. Food in the restaurant is excellent and good value for money. The breakfast is really well presented and value for money. Overall a great stay, we would stay again.

The room was clean and bed comfortable and the shower worked. The shower room was small (it’s an old building so compromises have to be made in converting it to a hotel), however no shelf was available in the shower cubicle and shower room so everything had to be on the floor. My main criticism was with the housekeeping which was non-existent or slapdash. My room wasn’t made up after the first night. On querying this I was told that for extended stays (mine was for 3 nights) rooms weren’t made up every day. This was unacceptable to me. After the second night my room was made up except that the cups and spoons I had used from the beginning of my stay were still there unwashed or changed. I gave up at this point and washed one myself.

The Gardner Suite was spacious and on the whole clean and bathroom was spacious and looked like it had been recently renovated. Wenns was a good location to walk the high street and go the The Walks park. It was noisy at night and into the early evening. There was paid for parking opposite the establishment in the Saturday Marketplace car park, once I arrived, I left the car there until checkout but the cost of parking does add up ontop of cost of stay. It would be good if Wenns could negotiate a discounted rate for their guests. Shower water was not so hot and the staff dealt with the wall thermostat fault on day of arrival which was just done to new batteries needed. The sofa was dirty and stained and slight mismatch of furniture in the separate lounge area. Nice that it is dog friendly accommodation and at no extra cost but then they don’t provide dog water bowl in the room but I always go prepared. Nice to have separate access into the building so not having to go in via the pub / dining area once you have checked in and have the keys.

King’s Lynn has its nice areas (the older bits in general) and the not so nice ones. That said, unlike a lot of towns I’ve visited this year, it still seems to be thriving heart. The accommodation was well positioned in all respects. I had a really nice room which was like a little apartment on the top floor … clean and cosy; note, however, no housekeeping is provided unless you asked for it and that’s in the small print which I had not . That said, the property looks a little dilapidated from the outside (so not a great first impression) and the warren of stairs and corridors to get to my room were in some serious need of TLC (I wondered what I had booked until I got to my room) … the walk-ways badly scuffed and the carpets looking rather sorry (dirty). So, in sum, not bad … but I think some areas are in need of a little money being spent.

Well located in Kings Lynn. No on site parking, but there is a short term pay and display car park opposite. Room had a few minor shabby maintenance issues - water stains on ceiling, bathroom sealant needed redoing. Bed was comfy enough. Room was hot but no fan. Hallway and stair carpet leading to room were absolutely filthy and what looked like oil stained so not a great first impression. We stayed three nights and the room wasn’t made up at all during our stay nor replenished with consumables like tea and coffee. While we were able to get these replaced by asking at the bar, one night we were challenged with you haven’t got ANY tea and coffee? Well, no, that’s why we are asking! Which was a bit of an odd question given they don’t service the rooms! We didn’t eat in the pub and were told on checkin they don’t do breakfast except at weekends. Overall it was an ok stay, but not sure how it warranted the very high hotels.com score which seems vastly inflated compared to other properties we’ve stayed in with similar scores.

Immediate impression was a beautiful pub, gorgeous outdoor seating and when walking into the bar/reception it was very clean. Super friendly and helpful staff too. Parking was a short 3 min walk from the pub with 24hr parking available. Room was spacious and clean, although there was what looked like a blood stain on the opening of my pillowcase. Bed was a bit soft for my liking but that’s ok. Room is seperate from the pub so you don’t get noise from that, however the windows don’t block out noise at all from outside. I’m quite a heavy sleeper but was still woken up numerous times by people outside and one very annoying seagull! Church bells went on for 45mins too which was rather tedious first thing in the morning when having a lie in. Overall a lovely stay despite the noise affecting sleep quality and would definitely stay again. Very pleased overall especially given the reasonable price.

Lovely old property.be aware if your not good on stairs ask for a lower down room.bed was lovely .staff were very nice .unfortunatley the room was so hot there were sky windows but it was raining and they were over the tv so couldnt have them open the next morning the lady said we should have had a fan in the room but we didnt so we didnt get much sleep because of the heat

Amazing accommodation but because of the age of the building it only had single glazed windows so the noise from cars and people going past was annoying so ended up buying ear plugs for second night. Unfortunately would not stay there again if in a front room again

Great area, lively pub, spacious accommodation. Only thing that let it down was the shower was rubbish (tricking water and went hot & cold intermittently), and two rusty stains on the carpet beneath the radiator pipes. But for the money we paid, it was still great value and we would return.

Had a great one night stay here in a very large apartment, I would describe it as "Shabby Chic" and although it would benefit from a bit of redecoration the size and facilities were excellent, we had dinner at the restaurant below and this was very good and reasonably priced, staff were all very helpful and friendly and we got an early check in which was handy. My only criticism would be that as this is an old property the windows were of a sash style and only single glazed, this meant that the noise levels in the bedroom were extremely high, first with nightlife and then again at 4am with the Seagulls screeching, this isn't the fault of the property but worth mentioning and I would recommend packing some earplugs if you are a light sleeper! Overall at this price point though a great stay in an excellent location.

Great location. Nice room - needs a little tlc. Food was surprisingly good! Didn't expect it but great! Manager and barstaff really helpful and friendly. Try What-a-Hoot down the road - lovely Gin maker with bar and tasting experience.

Excellent service throughout our stay. Especially the lady who checked us in . She arranged for a couple of extras for our room , doing it with a smile. Scott on maintenance was also worth a mention for going above and beyond. Great bar service , spacious bar and outside seating with a view of The Minster. Room was large clean and well equipped.

3 of us had a great one night stay at this property after attending a concert at Sandringham. We arrived early and the team were very accommodating and understanding that we would be back after closing. We were given our key and our bags were in our room when we returned later. The room was fantastic. Very comfortable and a great size. Perfect for what we needed.

I was running late and they rang me to make sure they would be there when i arrived, great service. Warm welcome quick check in, took us to our room carrying our bag, great service. Furnishing all the way to room excellent. Room was huge (told it was one of the smaller ones! Huge settee with a large telly above it. What looked like a full kitchen setup ie. Cooker hob sink plenty in a slim units well equipped. A huge very comfy king size bed. At the end of the room was a free standing roll top bath. Also a bathroom which had a large shower with good water pressure(i like a good shower) We didnt eat as it was to late but if the food matches the room you can not go wrong. And this was an excellent price.

Check in was quick and easy. The staff were friendly and very helpful. The apartment we were allocated was spotless and comfortable. Despite being above the bar area it was very quiet so we had a great sleep. The property is right next to the Minster with the town centre right on the doorstep with most places of interest within walking distance. Things to note: the property is not suitable for those with mobility issues as there are a number of stairs and no lift - it’s an old building. Parking out the front is short stay and quite expensive - the parking attendants are very keen so don’t risk getting a ticket. There is a long stay car park just a short walk away with better rates. Those staying for a few days might want to consider a 7 day Rover ticket - available online - which costs less than £30 - better value and less hassle than having to go to the parking meter to top up your ticket on a daily basis.

Not sure why anybody in the hospitality industry would not be hospitable…sad, disinterested check in lacking any sort of interaction or friendliness. The place is just about ok, communal areas tired decor and double room with an old chair and an uncomfortable wiry 1.5 chair, tiny bathroom. I like to score higher but the ambience does definitely not allow and you focus on the detail. Raise your game would be my response! Chose to eat elsewhere purely based on poor attitude.

It was a brief stay for us, arriving on Friday afternoon, out with friends for the evening and left 6.30am Saturday. However, we were amazed at what we git for the money. Bedroom with extra large bed, 2 arm chairs. Kitchen with table, 2 chairs, fridge, dishwasher etc., dressing room. Unfortunately, probably due to restrictions put on the building, the bathroom was on the small side to the point where there was no space for a door on the shower just a curtain. I would definitely stay again and probably for longer, a great base for a couple. Great location, right opposite the Minster. Plenty of car parks around and the Minster car park opposite the place. Great nights sleep in that extra large bed. We were worried about noise on a Friday night as our room was at the front facing the Minster and they had tables out the front. Pleased to report we heard verh little and not enough to keep us awake. You do have to take in to account its an old building, possibly listed, probably with lots of restrictions on things like windows - sash windows, so it won't please those who like ultra modern.

The Wenns Chop & Ale House is perfectly place for most things that you might like to do around Kings Lynn's centre. The apartment was above what was expected for the price we paid! Very spacious with great amenities. So much more than was needed for a one night stay but we made the most of it 🙂 I'd definitely book again!

Check on was quick and easy. Room was comfortable, although access was a little awkward. Parking was off site around 150 yards awsy, although we were lucky to find a spot right outside for overnight. Ideal location for the centre of town.

Location opposite the Abbey and in the High Street was very convenient plus low rate car parks. Our Rush Suite was brilliant with good size bedroom and bathroom plus lounge/kitchen. A warm welcome greeted us and the food on offer was good quality. We were very pleased to have stayed Wenns!

Very friendly & helpful staff, nothing was too much trouble, position of property was perfect for exploring Kings Lynn, we ate at the property on our first night & had an excellent meal, my husband had the Chop of the day which he said was one of the best chops he’d ever eaten.

Grat Location, fabulous room - with generous bath in the bedroom and great shower in bathroom. Brilliant, attentive staff. Some noise from the bar/restaurant downstairs, but stopped from 21:30. The restaurant is great, food was exceptional.

Amazing place. Great location. Our room was beautiful. Everything you could want or need for a stay. Lovely and clean. Super comfy bed. Perfect! The bar downstairs has a great selection of drinks and breakfast the next morning was great. Staff were welcoming and helpful. Couldn’t fault a thing and look forward to returning soon!

Good location in town opposite the Minster. Parking (Pay and Display) opposite the pub for £2/night. Fairly quiet considering its location and above a pub. Finishes serving food at 8pm with absolutely no flexibility. Thankfully, there are many good restaurants nearby that serve food until 9.30pm. Toiletries in the room were limited.

Lovely staff, pleasant room. Food was very nice but extortionatly priced. £22 for 2 little lamb chops!!! All in a pleasant stay, and we would certainly come again, but would most definitely eat elsewhere.

Absolutely fantastic place to stay. The room is exceptional with a view looking straight at Kings Lynn Minster. The food was terrific and great value with an extensive menu. Service was brilliant, friendly and efficient. Can't fault a thing and would fully recommend.

We had a two night stay as were attending a family wedding. Accommodation was excellent as was the breakfast and evening meal. Staff were very friendly and accommodating Will definitely return to explore the area.

Great stay. It’s in a great location. The food in the restaurant was lovely and the room was perfect. Best of all was the wonderful service from all of the staff. They really made us feel welcome.

A lovely 2 night mini break whilst visiting the RHS at Sandringham. We stayed in the Kings Studio which was gorgeous with a roll top bath featured in the bedroom as well as a separate shower room! Bed was lovely and comfortable and a good night’s sleep was had although there was a little noise from the courtyard below with bottles and general bar noises which was to be expected. No breakfast was served mid week at the Wenns although plenty of breakfast spots in the nearby High Street. We had dinner in the Wenns on the first night and the chop of the day was duly ordered and a chicken and tarragon pie for me. The chop was lamb and was delicious I was told although slightly overpriced for the amount of meat on it. My pie though was delicious and packed with chicken and was duly demolished! I would recommend the Wenns as a good choice to stay as it is very central and we got car parking just opposite by the stunning Lynn Minster which we also visited. The car park was reasonable and it was easy to keep track of the time on the app.
