I took video because I could not believe this was really the experience I was having. Will not trust Expedia or Days Inn again. The keycard entry into the building does not work, so doors are unlocked all day AND NIGHT. I spoke to the manager about how unsafe that is. Especially because my room was one of the first at the side entry. He said they will work after renovations are complete. Why are we renting rooms at a hotel currently being renovated. Pool is down because of renovations. No elevator due to renovation. So we carried our luggage up and down stairs. It was not handicap accessible. The iron plug wouldn’t plug in so I tried to explain that to the front desk and ask for a different iron. The gentleman instead had to come to my room to ensure I wasn’t lying. Not sure why I would lie about that. Once he saw that he found that it wasn’t working in most of the plugs in the room for some reason it worked in the plug next to the bed where my husbands cpap machine was so unfortunately we unplugged the cpap and I ironed on the bed. Never again. The parking lot is full of thrown out trash, dumpsters etc from the renovation. I was ready to go home immediately but couldn’t due to the reason I was there. Beyond awful.

Outside trash cans were so full that there was trash on the ground next to the cans. Multiple vending machines "out of service" as well as the ice machine. There was also only a few local tv stations because their Dish service was out for some reason. Very disappointing stay... good location, though.

We stayed at this hotel for a night with family. Check in was quick. We arrived late at night, tired from a long trip. Unfortunately they don’t have an elevator, it was very inconvenient to carry our stuff up to the second level. They were fully booked didn’t have room available at the lower level. Lobby looked dated. Sign clearly posted that they are undergoing renovations. Our room was spacious, clean and beds were comfortable. They provided basic breakfast, sufficient for us. Dining area was very tight and had to eat in our room. Hotel is located in the business area with grocery store across the street with many restaurants nearby and it’s few minutes drive to Route 100, for scenic drive to see brilliant fall foliage that we came to see in Vermont. For the price that we paid, I think it’s worth it!

There was a huge pile of trash bags, close to 75 bags, behind the building near our entrance. The back entrance door was broken so it did not lock. The pool/rec area was closed for most of the day, only open early morning and late afternoon.

Hotel is currently undergoing a renovation, so it's not at it's best. The prices seemed to still be in line with its competitors, though, so there's no premium being offered for the lack of pool, mediocre environment, absence of security regarding hotel entrances and completely subpar breakfast.

In all fairness, this property is under renovation which did not impact our stay, but this facility is mediocre at best. The room seemed to be clean, but the decor was sparse and seemed to emulate the furnishings of a day care center. The ice machine was out of commission ( possibly due to the renovation), and you had to go to the front desk for ice. They filled the ice bucket 1/3 full (it was >90° that day.) The Continental breakfast was out of several items and there was no breakfast room attendant in sight. This was a booking of convenience, but would NEVER be a destination lodging.

Although under renovation which was not indicated when booked, the rooms themselves were great. Breakfast buffet was extremely limited and dirty. Security of exterior doors was non existent, all exterior doors were not secure with a lock or room security access. Staff was friendly.

I have stayed at this Days Inn many times over the past 20 years. Recently went through a renovation. Basically, new paint, new carpet in the hallways and vinyl plank flooring in the rooms. Arrived early and was given an early check in. First room given to me had not been cleaned, went back to the front desk and was given another room. Upon entering the room I noticed the floors were very dirty, dirty shoe or boot prints on the floors. Hand towel in the bathroom was stained and looked like it had been used, something red spattered all over the walls? When I turned on the heat, pieces of black gunk flew out all over me and the room. Luke warm water for showers, water pressure in shower was so low I couldn't get the soap out of my hair. Microwave had dirty fingerprints and something dripping down the front of it. I actually washed dirty boot prints off the wall by my bed! Didn't take a picture of this as I thought it was just an oversight. Then I began to look around the room! I understand renovations ended several months ago, and there was still construction debris outside the window of our room! Very noisy at night. Kids running up and down the halls and a baby crying constantly! We'll find somewhere else to stay next time I am in the Rutland area.

Tolerable for a one-night stay, but that's about it. The property advertises being "under renovations", but it is also in need of routine attention. The floors in our room were dusty, the refrigerator had evidence of a brown spill in it and there were mouse droppings on the night stand. The door handle for the adjoining rooms was broken, the door didn't easily open due to the curtain set up and the in room coffee maker was broken. Shower head in one of the rooms would not work at full capacity. Mice were spotted in the halls and one actually came under our hotel room door later that evening. The pool was nice for the kids and did have adequate space for the adults to socialize.

What was good was the parking and convenience for it being on a main street in Rutland. The issues are how expensive it is for what you get: very dusty room, stains all over shower curtain, stain on bed, dirty counters, dirty nightstand, dirty lamp, dirty bathroom in general (shower, toilet, and sink), no drain cover for the shower, and changing the shower from faucet mode to shower head basically didn't exist. I had to take a 20 minute shower with trinkling water from the shower head because it was broken. There was also a used loofah in the shower. There was no soap or shampoo for the shower, just hand soap for the sink in the bathroom. There were many holes in the bathroom as well for whatever reason. At least 2-3 inches in diameter for each hole.

The room could've been cleaner. There was cobwebs and dead spider in corner, hair in the shower drain. There was a tub, but not drain plug, had to stuff a wash cloth in drain to keep water in tub! The toilet flushed so loud it made me jump the first time. The bed was soft and comfortable, but the metal base clanked loudly every time one of us turned over, constantly woke k up due to this and noise from the outside hallway door opening and closing. The heater smelled weird when turned on. Overall it was o,Kay, but not worth the price. When booking it said we would have a balcony and breakfast. No balcony, no door to balcony, just a window looking at parking lot. For breakfast there were 2small yogurt cups, some cold cereal a couple bagels, and coffee and juice. There was a spot to make waffles, but it looked like everything was picked up already (9:30 a.m.) I would not stay again unless the cost was halved. For the same price We could have gotten a room at a nicer place, wish I had done my homework.

Checked in & staff was very kind & professional but once I was inside the room, I decided not to stay there because the room was very dirty - hair on floor, in shower, sink & toilet. Sticky dried up beverage spills on floor which looked like they had been there for a while collecting dirt, questionable “spots” on various walls. The bed sheets looked clean, but that was about it! I did not report this, I just checked out b/c I was disgusted & wanted to get out of there asap!

I was very disappointed with my stay here. I made a complaint to the front desk. Our room floor wasn't swept, there was a lot of hair in the tub and around the tub. The night stand between the beds had shredded cheese on it. The bed pads has dirt smeared on it. The pool looked disgusting, like it hadn't been filtered or cleansed. My teenager was so disgusted she was scared to sleep in the bed in fear this place had bedbugs. I will never stay at this place again. The breakfast was disappointing as well.

The room was clean and staff was nice. The lighting was terrible. 3 lights in the room and with all three on, we had to use our cell phone flashlight to read, find things etc. Breakfast was ok but ended up eating at Dennys next door.

It was modern and remodeled; however, no table set up for eating and playing cards. Lighting was dim in room and water pressure was terrible in bathroom sink. Couldn't enjoy reading and I missed more light. The price was reasonable and offset the negatives. It was clean and service good as well. I have gone here for years and always loved coming here to the area. It is always like coming home but as does a house, updates become necessary over time.

The room was clean and big. My complaints are: 1. The water pressure in the shower is terrible. It sounds like a nick-pick but it's seriously annoying after a long day and you just want to have a long hot shower. 2. The hairdryer is more of a 'hair fryer'..loud and hot but not much air moving... bring your own hair dryer.

Older property but rooms were just redone in Spring 2025. Very clean and comfortable, bathrooms still a bit on the older side but clean...water pressure was low but still usable. Overall, I would come back.

Check in: The clerk could not find my name. My room was given to another guest. The clerk was able to locate my name and gave me a room My first room: Smelled bad. Carpet stained. The white curtain between the window and the dark out curtain was very dirty and had cigarette burns in it. The bathroom was nasty and old. Mold and mildew in the cracks of the shower. I went down and complained and the clerk moved me to another room. My second room: White curtain again, very dirty. TV only had three channels: 2 local and PBS. When I TRIED to call down, the phone was not working. Again, mold and mildew in the shower. The water in the shower was never hot, but lukewarm. The top of the microwave and the hairdryer were dirty and even had a hair on it. Toilet seat was not tighten down. The chair at the desk was torn at the seams. There was missing sections of the base board in the room. The mirrors in the room still had splatters of something on them. I went to Wal Mart after having supper and purchased Lysol spray and wipes and a scented candle. The stairwells: dirty, doesn't appear to have been cleaned in a long time. When I first got there and parked in the back, there was a guest with a pile of personal belongings out back about 10 feet long and 4 feet high. There was a strong odor of fecal substance as I walked by. When I had gone to get a new room, the local police were there to evict her off the grounds. Hallways were dirty and carpet smelled. Very bad stay.

I stayed two nights and over the course of that time lost access to my room [key card didn't work] 4 times. This is unacceptable at $150+/night. The third time I was unable to get into my room, I had arrived back at the hotel with hot food and a bag of ice for the cooler in my room - It took 2 hours for maintenance to get me into my room, at which point they assigned another room to me. By that time, my food was cold, ice melted, and I missed a function my HS daughter was participating in. We came from ME to VT and my daughter was staying in the dorms with her team. At about 10:30pm my last night I decided to grab my cooler and find the ice machine [since earlier, being locked out of my room, the bag of ice I bought melted]. So, I followed the signs to the "Ice Machine", walked up and down the halls and there was no ice machine on the premises! I returned to my (new) room, cooler in hand and my key card did not work again - for the 4th time!!! At the end of it all, the manger refused to issue any type of refund or credit for my extremely negative & frustrating experience. Terrible customer service and no accountability.

This property has been recently updated with fresh paint and new furnishings. It is lovely. Staff was fabulous. I wondered at breakfast if someone called out from working that shift as the breakfast buffet was bare and empty cups/plates were scattered about. It was a busy morning, and I am always surprised and disappointed when guests leave these items on a table four feet from a wastebasket. An employee arrived and attended to the space beautifully. Our room was very comfortable. I did notice that the coffee maker did not work and there was quite a bit of dust and debris at the head of the bed between the side table and headboard, where I found the TV remote. Otherwise, a clean room. The pool area was also very clean and enjoyable! Water was a bit cooler than anticipated, but we still had a great time (sauna, too!).

Lobby is renovating while we are visiting, breakfast only had boiled egg and donuts. Milk was expired, undrinkable. Pool was opened, but sauna room was broken. Not a terrible experience if you just look for a place to stay of a Killington ski trip.

When we were greeted the person checking us in was very nice. But on day 2 we found cockroaches in our bathroom. When I told him, he acted surprised and said they never get cockroaches. Like somehow I brought them from my flight from the west coast. Yeah, didn't happen. So they sprayed it and left the poison bug spray in the bathroom. I don't want that in my bathroom! Just take care of it! The breakfast was okay. I prefer when there are scrambled eggs or omelettes but most people are fine with this kind of breakfast, bagels, cereal, hard boiled egg, muffins. So if that's your thing, you'll enjoy it. We ate out. Room was quiet. It was good for what it was, close to what we needed. But so far not my favorite place in the area. Seemed like lots of motorcyle people or campers stayed here so maybe it's the perfect place if you're on your from one place to another.

Although under renovation which was not indicated when booked, the rooms themselves were great. Breakfast buffet was extremely limited and dirty. Security of exterior doors was non existent, all exterior doors were not secure with a lock or room security access. Staff was friendly.
