OK so where to start and I am sure that overall, this is not the fault of the staff. We don't travel as much as we used to and always tried to find a Marriott Courtyard, in the "old" days because of good restaurants to get a meal and a drink if you travelled a long way to get there, and once the restaurants disappeared the Bistro was a very welcoming alternative. We arrived tired after our 500 mile journey to find that the Bistro here was not open, and we were told would not be, plus nearly all shelves in the pantry were pretty much empty! The Bistro did open for a short time Friday AM for coffee and snack breakfast items. When we went down Saturday AM it was just a help yourself coffee pot and I took the last half cup, with no sign of a refill. I asked why the Bistro was not open and was told it would do so on Sunday morning. Our next stay moving on is now at the Towne Place. Very welcoming staff, fully stocked pantry, including some beer and wine, plus has a full breakfast service every day of the week. One question was this Courtyard an exception or is this a Marriott cost cutting that is certainly affecting the band?

Hotel was ok as far as cleanliness. There was a microwave in all the rooms. Some of them have them but the hotel clerk does not know which rooms have one. At least that is what they told us. They weren't very helpful.
