Apple Valley Hotel & Lodge

A property that is clean and has a working vending and ice machine is great! The bonus is that the room has a mini fridge and microwave. Great stay!

Well, We stayed one night. Check in was easy. Hotel condition, not the cleanest, appeared to have possible blood stains on bathroom door and one bed comforter. We also stated there 3 people staying in the room with 2 queen beds when we made reservation. When we got into room there were only 2 bath towels. Thought I would call front desk to get another set of towels. NO there are no phones in room to call front desk with. We checked in after 7:30pm through a window on front of building not at the actual desk. Poor lighting in rooms, also the bathroom appeared half painted with 2 different colors, like they tried to cover something up with wrong colored paint? Literally you could see the paint line up wall and across ceiling. Place appeared clean on surface But not really sure how deep clean it was so we just left in morning without showers and went somewhere else to clean up. Would not recommend

This stay was more about the location. We were spending the day offroad in Johnson Valley. This hotel was right off Highway 18 and had plenty of room to park a big trailer. The parking lot was well light and monitored by video.

A colleague and I stayed here while on a work trip to Apple Valley. I had read mixed reviews, good and bad. It was very close to our office, so we took a chance. The man at the front desk was VERY nice, very helpful. The room was clean. Very minimalist decor. No actual amenities, but I had already read that so I was prepared. The A/C/heat worked very well. TV worked well. Overall, I can't complain. My only complaint is with Expedia's inability to provide customer service and reimburse my credit card for the unused days since my itinerary changed.

The rooms are crap bugs start coming out like if u skip on cleaning day the maids don't want to do a thing I can see why there is two cars in the parking lot the owner is a monster he thinks he can charge 120 for nothing

I liked the idea that it was close to St. Mary's hospital since it was our first time there. But it definitely needed an upgrade on carpet, drapes and bedspread. Also, there were stains on bathroom floor that only the imagination could try to figure out.

They need mirrors in the room

I lived in AV for many years. Moved away 17 years ago. When i visit, this is my favorite place to lodge. It's quiet, clean, comfortable and feels nostalgic. I love it!

Owner was very nice, easy to deal with. Room was decent and clean, and QUIET, unlike some other small hotels I have stayed at in the past. Also, was fairly close to the Lucerne Valley Dry Lake Bed for the three day rocket launch I was attending. Reasonable rates also...will definitely stay again in the future!

We are from out of town, we come to visit family always stay here. It’s close for our needs.Owner has always been so nice. Rooms due need a bit of upgrade, but everything was clean and beds comfortable.

They charged a $75 deposit in my card in addition to the room charge. They said it was refundable, yet they didn’t refund me. The charge moved from pending to posted. So the room cost me $200 instead of the $125 rate I was quoted for. All I did was drop off my things, went to my event, came back to the room only to sleep and I checked out the next day. I didn’t do anything to the room for them to charge and keep my deposit. At least there were no chalk or tape outlines on the floor. So I guess that’s a good thing. I will never stay here again.

This place is horrible! I called to set up a room for another person, made it very clear that person did not have money or their own debit card. I asked if there would be any issues with her check in and if there were any other fees, and was informed she wouldnt have to pay anything at check in.She goes to check in and calls me crying because the guy in there was exramly rude and threw her ID at her, so I called and spoke to the guy who was extremely hostile the moment he picked up the phone, I was informed about a 100 hold fee that I was not told about in the morning, I offered to pay the fee over the phone and was rejected. Then I was berated over the note in expedia that says they charge a 100$ check in fee, I told him I sopke to a guy in the morning and was told "different guy, that was not me, if you want a refund file online" so I did. The property declined my refund. Got charged for a stay we didnt get to even use, my sister was telled at and humilited infront of other guests. DO NOT STAY HERE! ITS HORRIBLE. The guys who run this place are basically running a scam, dont believe anything they tell you, because its probably a lie. I dont understand how a business like this is even open.

Great service we have a problem with the firs room, but they move us to another room and give me a fast solution.

I liked that it had a large refrigerator. Could have used a coffee and coffee machine

Only recommendations would be a coffee machine in room as lobby non avail early in morning. Also a shelf above toilet would facilitate the lack of sink counter space. I would recommend this stay to anyone. Clean, safe, cost is reasonable. Linens getting old but all around I would stay again should Apple Valley be in my itinerary.
