Common areas were great, we especially enjoyed the game room :D the place has nice, calm energy. Bedroom is ok, all what you need. Due to mosquitos we could not fully enjoy the outside seating options :(

BnB. Required taking off street shoes and wear flip flop or house shoes inside- that is their custom but odd for me. They had a nice big fridge anyone could label items and keep food there, I used the freezer for my ice packs I use during the day to keep food and drinks in a small travel cooler.

The view of the mountains was spectacular and the owner was very friendly and helpful. The lodge was cozy and there were lots of places to relax and enjoy yourself.

The town and services are just on the other side of the river. Located just 2 miles down a well kept, dirt road, the lodge is secluded and quiet. Beautiful lodge with a grand open area with fireplace and sitting rooms. Breakfast was self serve and abundant. Very clean, everyone is asked to remove your shoes before entering the lodge, with slippers available. Definately recommend!

Very friendly staff throughout the stay. They made us feel very welcome. A common area with a lovely wood burning fire was great for lounging and reading. The location of the place is unique, being in the woods, which gives the place a nice charm.

I’ll start by saying the staff are super lovely and the old lodge is an impressive structure but our stay left something to be desired, This B&B felt more like a hostel, as the other guests were incredibly noisy and disruptive. The staff allowed singing, yelling, fighting and other disruptions to go on well into the night. The whole place, including the bedroom/linens had a cooking and food odour that was quite prominent. The rooms/bathrooms were quite run down with old fixtures and finishings. The breakfast was quite light and more of a continental style rather than a full breakfast. It was also a 15 minute drive into town to access amenities, so it was quite secluded. That said, the views of the valley and mount 7 were impressive and the B&B had a lovely deck off the back to enjoy the views. At over 160/night, I would recommend checking out one of the hotels in Golden for a better value.

Fantastic accomodations! Loved everything about the place. One downside was there is no cooking area except for a microwave. In photos shown there is a stove and oven to use but that wasn’t the case. Overall though we were very happy. Guests are quiet, breakfast was filling enough, fridge and freezer available, hot shower, beautiful morning view over looking valley, good firm beds, clean rooms and super cosy atmosphere.

This accommodation was really lovely. It's in a great location overlooking the mountains, and the common space was very cozy. The breakfast had a great selection, and it was a plus that hot drinks were available all day. The host was very friendly and gave us a tour when we arrived and was quick to help with any questions. The room itself was nice - it was clean and the bed was very comfy, but the bath/shower could do with a little bit of TLC.

Very nice quiet lodge out of town. Very nice people at the reception. Room was very clean but could use updating, especially bathroom. A small TV in the room would’ve been nice. Breakfast was nice - all the basics. The only thing missing for me was cheese :) Overall, a good choice for an overnight stay!

Wers einfach mag.. sehr spartanisch eingerichtet, als erstes mussten wir die Schuhe draussen lassen und allgemeine Latschen nehmen (wäh!!) TV, Kühlschrank, Kaffeemaschine nicht im Zimmer, Möbel aus der Brockenstube, Matratze alt und Schimmel im Bad. Zufahrt über eine Brücke, die nur 10min stündlich passierbar ist und 4 km Schotterpiste durch den Wald. Würde ich nicht mehr buchen!

Very unique property built out of wood from the forest of the property! Very awesome staff and service. Quick check-in and we were told some history about the place, as well as were given a tour around the property. Awesome location if you enjoy forested area! Good walking trails nearby! 10-15 minutes away from any restaurants, which they are very clear about upon booking. VERY basic breakfast of cereal, toast, and boiled eggs. Jets in the bathtub leaked out brown sludge.

The property was beautiful, well maintained and really clean. It’s located outside the city on the hills so it felt like a hillside resort vacation- relaxed and quiet and comfortable. If you are in the area, definitely recommend you to stay here. The staff is really kind and sweet - overall we loved our stay here.

The fan is on with the light but the fan make a terrible noise so we had to wash us in the dark. The bed is extremely uncomfortable. The base of the bed is very noisy.

This lodge is in a beautiful location. It's an older building and very pretty. The beds in our room were very hard and we did not have very comfortable sleeps. Mattresses are certainly personal preference, however I was surprised at them given the cost of the stay. Breakfast in the morning was simple but good.

The relatively remote setting and the traditional style of accommodation appealed to me and the staff are really welcoming and helpful. However, the accommodation is very basic; no air con , no tv , no refreshments in the room and an uncomfortable bed . The breakfast was ok , but basic . If that’s what you’re looking for- a simple stay - this will suit you. Mosquitoes at night are savage so pack some repellent.

Very nice quiet lodge out of town. Very nice people at the reception. Room was very clean but could use updating, especially bathroom. A small TV in the room would’ve been nice. Breakfast was nice - all the basics. The only thing missing for me was cheese :) Overall, a good choice for an overnight stay!

Very unique property built out of wood from the forest of the property! Very awesome staff and service. Quick check-in and we were told some history about the place, as well as were given a tour around the property. Awesome location if you enjoy forested area! Good walking trails nearby! 10-15 minutes away from any restaurants, which they are very clear about upon booking. VERY basic breakfast of cereal, toast, and boiled eggs. Jets in the bathtub leaked out brown sludge.

The lodge needs some care and attention. The front is full of weeds and the Christmas decorations are still up. We were asked to pay extra at check in due to a new “tax”. We had already paid in full up front so declined. The rooms were very basic but clean. Nice to have a dining space but it needs to be monitored (tables wiped, dishes removed). The continental breakfast was short on items-every day of our 3 day stay. Day 2 no coffee, orange juice, fruit or yogurt by 8:00 am. I asked for items to be replenished for other guests.

We booked this lodge at the last minute and didn’t have high expectation. Upon arrival, we were greeted by Mehda (hope I got the name right), who is friendly and helpful. The lodge is clean, serene and very quiet with mountain view. We had to leave early the next day and Mehda was able to provide continental breakfast earlier. Highly recommend and great for meditation.

I’ll start by saying the staff are super lovely and the old lodge is an impressive structure but our stay left something to be desired, This B&B felt more like a hostel, as the other guests were incredibly noisy and disruptive. The staff allowed singing, yelling, fighting and other disruptions to go on well into the night. The whole place, including the bedroom/linens had a cooking and food odour that was quite prominent. The rooms/bathrooms were quite run down with old fixtures and finishings. The breakfast was quite light and more of a continental style rather than a full breakfast. It was also a 15 minute drive into town to access amenities, so it was quite secluded. That said, the views of the valley and mount 7 were impressive and the B&B had a lovely deck off the back to enjoy the views. At over 160/night, I would recommend checking out one of the hotels in Golden for a better value.

When I booked the accommodation, I was not aware that the lodge was located in a forest. I was, therefore, surprised when were driving at around 10.00 pm and turn to Elk street, it was an unpaved road and we had to drive through the wilderness for 4 miles. we were unsure if we would end up at the lodge. However, we did reach the lodge, and once were inside, we were at ease. The lady at the front desk gave us the key to our room, without even asking for my ID or credit card. The lodge was clean, aesthetically pleasing and comfortable. I would be happy to stay at the lodge if we were to be in Golden again.

We loved this friendly lodge! The area was beautiful and the staff were so lovely and friendly, they happily helped with any issues or enquiries we had. This Lodge is perfectly situated around the Yoho and Banff national parks and close to a town with plenty options for food. The road in is quite tight though and it goes on for a good 3km before you arrive at the lodge. The lodge is close to a river so beware of the army of mosquitos at dusk/night. There is mosquito netting in the room windows however. Would definitely stay here again!

The town and services are just on the other side of the river. Located just 2 miles down a well kept, dirt road, the lodge is secluded and quiet. Beautiful lodge with a grand open area with fireplace and sitting rooms. Breakfast was self serve and abundant. Very clean, everyone is asked to remove your shoes before entering the lodge, with slippers available. Definately recommend!

The property is located outside of Golden town in a remote area, so a car is definitely required. It's a lovely quaint spot away from the hustle and bustle of nearby tourism, however it's not convenient if you want to just pop in to town. The lodge itself is clean and staff are very welcoming. Breakfast was very basic but enough to get you going for the day.

The property was beautiful, well maintained and really clean. It’s located outside the city on the hills so it felt like a hillside resort vacation- relaxed and quiet and comfortable. If you are in the area, definitely recommend you to stay here. The staff is really kind and sweet - overall we loved our stay here.

Fantastic accomodations! Loved everything about the place. One downside was there is no cooking area except for a microwave. In photos shown there is a stove and oven to use but that wasn’t the case. Overall though we were very happy. Guests are quiet, breakfast was filling enough, fridge and freezer available, hot shower, beautiful morning view over looking valley, good firm beds, clean rooms and super cosy atmosphere.

The relatively remote setting and the traditional style of accommodation appealed to me and the staff are really welcoming and helpful. However, the accommodation is very basic; no air con , no tv , no refreshments in the room and an uncomfortable bed . The breakfast was ok , but basic . If that’s what you’re looking for- a simple stay - this will suit you. Mosquitoes at night are savage so pack some repellent.

Liked the beautiful wooden interior. Nice decor. Rooms were overall OK, airco was good, showers were good, very spartan furnish. Bed was a bit shaky. Staff was very friendly, extremely helpful. The only thing, also mentioned in other reviews although a bit harsh, was the below standard, below basic breakfast, certainly for a "Bed and Breakfast". Presentation was poor, choices were minimal. You can have a decent breakfast in any hotel so you would expect something similar or better in a place calling itself "Bed and Breakfast"

The lodge was clean and so was our room. The continental breakfast was not fancy, but had all the basics and was well stocked. Madia and staff were very attentive to our needs. The rooms and the lodge were very quiet. A great place to relax. Unfortunately, for us we were there at a time when the smoke from the fires was heavy, so we couldn’t really appreciate the views. We would make this a regular get away if we lived closer.

The bed was quite worn and wobbled with every subtle movement. The mattress was not comfortable. Neither of us slept well. What was prepared for breakfast was a good spread but I was surprised not to see any hot items. For a $250 bill for one night I anticipated a more fulsome meal when the accommodations were more modest. Staff was cheerful and the setting is pretty.

This was a cute, homely B&B, and the staff truly showed they cared about their guests’ stays. Coffee and tea were always available; breakfast included bread, boiled eggs, cereal, yogurt, bananas, and oatmeal. The rooms were clean and cozy, but the bathtub could have used some renovating/deep cleaning. Great option for guests wanting to stay in Golden and also have a unique experience.
