As our two bedroom Apartment commanded a spectacular few of the Harbour - we were blown away! As evening fell & the Auckland Harbour Bridge lit up, we were able to watch the cars as they drove over the bridge. Because I am having treatment nearby we have already rebooked for 3 weeks time. Excellent value & so quiet. There was limited parking due to a slip at the back but additional parking was available if needed on the grass. Highly recommended!

We had a great stay at Ocean Breeze Hotel for three nights. The check-in and check-out process was smooth and quick. The location is ideal for us, offering beautiful views of the CBD and Harbour Bridge. Public transport options, including buses and ferries, are easily accessible for getting to the city or exploring the North Shore, and there are plenty of parking spaces available! The property could benefit from some maintenance, especially the exterior. The curtain in our living room couldn’t fully close, which was a bit annoying. Overall, we enjoyed our stay. The room was quite spacious, and the area was peaceful and quiet. We would definitely come back and stay here again in the future.

Beautiful property as described on the internet easy check in and out, car park was on the grass running along side of property this was ok, we had dinner at the beautiful historic Northcote tavern about 10 minutes drive from the property, spacious comfortable apartment loved our stay.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Large well equipped room with a great view. Clean and comfortable. Friendly and helpful staff. Easy free parking. Bayswater is quiet but the hotel is only a five minute walk to the ferry and a ten minute ride into the centre of Auckland. There is no restaurant open on site currently and no restaurants or shops nearby, so plan to shop and eat in central Auckland or in your room.

Hotel did not feel welcoming, some balconies looked very untidy and parking limited. Nobody on reception to greet us and check in experience underwhelming. No on-site dining available, but thanks to Uber we got fed. View from our ground floor window was shocking, including rubbish and beer cans on the ground. Noisy music until very late. Tried to contact reception but no reply and later discovered it was unmanned during the night. Complained to Hotels.com at 10.30 pm who also were unable to contact hotel to resolve the noise issue. This hotel felt like a shelter for the local homeless and is not suitable for travelling hotel guests. Couldn’t wait to leave at daylight and will never return. Real shame because 7 years ago when we last stayed it was lovely. Feel like we have wasted our money and would rather have slept in the car.

The front of the building looks quite exclusive with a 'grand' entrance and check in area. The room we had was like an apartment, came with a little kitchen, living area, balcony with harbour/waterview, big bathroom with washing machine! The back of the building and it's surroundings looks less maintained, it appears to be that there has been a slip or something happened to the steep bank which made me wonder how safe the parking area and the back of the building were.

Fab location and has potential to be great accommodation however the rubbish, old mattresses, garden waste etc as we drove around the rear to park was our first impression. Then the laundry bags lying in the stairwell. Our room had a great view, but i had to wipe food remnants off the kitchen bench with a very well used sponge cloth, black mould in the shower grout, leaves cluttered around the air con on the balcony. Little things that would make a big difference. On the plus side, it was quiet, room view was awesome, the beds very comfy and the shower pressure was good. Wouldnt take much to improve this property.

Room was clean and comfortable. Outside of property and certain areas inside were neglected for some reason. Despite this we enjoyed our stay and found it perfect for one night. Plenty of food outlets and shops within a 10 min drive, there is no restaurant in the hotel.

Großes Apartment über dem Hoteleingang, dementsprechend nachts manchmal etwas lauter. Die Ausstattung war gut und sauber. Im öffentlichen Bereich waren Modernisierungen in Arbeit, was einen etwas unsauberen Eindruck vermittelt. Das Personal war durchgängig freundlich und hilfsbereit.

The magnificent and spectacular view of the harbor, bay, and bridge made up for any deficiencies with the property. Check in was smooth but staff was short and not overtly friendly. Room was clean. While there is a small combined washer/dryer unit, it cannot realistically be utilized as it takes ~6 hours to complete the process, is extremely loud, and is right at the entrance to the bathroom from the main bedroom, making it impossible to sleep with the machine on. However the view made up for this inconvenience

Nice property with unexpected but nice amenities like an in unit free washer/dryer, dishwasher, etc. Only issue was the lights flickered a lot each time they were turned on which seemed strange like an electrical issue, but no other concerns.

We stayed in a 2 bedroom apartment and it had a weird set up with the only bathroom being off the main bedroom - meaning everyone had to go through the main bedroom if they needed to use the facilities. Other than that, the room was perfect and the staff were amazing. We were very happy. The people in the neighbouring rooms were either very noisy or the walls are quite thin not sure which, but this was NOT the hotel’s fault, only mentioning in case you are a light sleeper - you may need to bring some earplugs.

This is a great, quiet location. 5 minute walk to Bayswater ferry to Auckland CBD. Our 1 bedroom was very spacious and had all the necessities including a washing machine so would be perfect for a long stay or overnight like we did.

Our room was a seaview suite and we were very pleasantly surprised. It was a large bedroom with a separate lounge/kitchen area. The bathroom was very nice and clean with a washing machine in situ behind a cupboard. The room has a microwave, cooking hob, cutlery, crockery and pots and pans. There is a veranda off the lounge with access from the separate bedroom also where you can look over the city and harbour bridge. It also has a generous dridge with a separate freezer, it even has a dishwasher in the kitchen with powder supplied. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will definitely book again.

Our room was a seaview suite and we were very pleasantly surprised. It was a large bedroom with a separate lounge/kitchen area. The bathroom was very nice and clean with a washing machine in situ behind a cupboard. The room has a microwave, cooking hob, cutlery, crockery and pots and pans. There is a veranda off the lounge with access from the separate bedroom also where you can look over the city and harbour bridge. It also has a generous dridge with a separate freezer, it even has a dishwasher in the kitchen with powder supplied. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will definitely book again.

Everything is great, the staff are always so helpful to my husband and I. We have had bad health over the past ten months so to get the extra assistance when we really need it is so appreciated by us. Little things like carrying in an armchair that assists me in sitting which after having a knee replacement helps me a lot. We appreciate the good service.

Everything met our expectation. The man at reception friendly and efficient and after 3 mins of arriving we were in our room. The bed was very comfortable and the premises very clean and tidy. Plenty of heating, which we really appreciated as we were very cold when we arrived. All in all, we would definetly come again

On arrival was told Expedia had canceled my booking and I would have got a message. They had no rooms left. So I had to leave. Called Expedia and according to them my booking was still confirmed.

Property is in a lovely situation right on the water and close to ferry terminal. Nice and quiet. The unit was in a pretty good condition but there were a couple of maintenance things that do need attending to. There was never anyone on reception - we had to phone them so no personal communication except when we checked in and then he was not very helpful at all. The outside needs a good spruce up, especially garden areas.

Hotel did not feel welcoming, some balconies looked very untidy and parking limited. Nobody on reception to greet us and check in experience underwhelming. No on-site dining available, but thanks to Uber we got fed. View from our ground floor window was shocking, including rubbish and beer cans on the ground. Noisy music until very late. Tried to contact reception but no reply and later discovered it was unmanned during the night. Complained to Hotels.com at 10.30 pm who also were unable to contact hotel to resolve the noise issue. This hotel felt like a shelter for the local homeless and is not suitable for travelling hotel guests. Couldn’t wait to leave at daylight and will never return. Real shame because 7 years ago when we last stayed it was lovely. Feel like we have wasted our money and would rather have slept in the car.

This hotel promises more than it provides. It is in a lovely location, but the interior is lacking. It is probably trying to upgrade, but hasn;t yet made it, with sad decor in the rooms. The programmes on the washing machine in our bathroom did not work properly and it took hours to tumble dry any clothes. It was useful to have the dishwasher in the kitchen, however. The sofa was uncomfortable and there were very few TV channels available.Our toilet didn't flush properly and when we reported it at reception, nothing was done, possibly due to languge difficulties.

The room was so specious for two of us and very comfortable. We enjoyed our vacation as if we live in the local. The north area is a bit far from the airport and there are few buses to the CBD, but this is not a big problem if you use Uber, rent a car, or take a ferry.

The view from the room/balcony were fantastic and the in room facilities were excellent for an extended stay. Although there are no dining out options within walking distance it is only 5 minutes walk to the Bayswater ferry terminal with regular 10 minute ferry trips to the CBD where lots of drinking and dining options.

This is a great, quiet location. 5 minute walk to Bayswater ferry to Auckland CBD. Our 1 bedroom was very spacious and had all the necessities including a washing machine so would be perfect for a long stay or overnight like we did.

The exterior appearance of property is very disappointing; shabby gardens, dirty paintwork, rubbish & debris around paths & entrance. Once inside reception is quite dark. The room I had was spacious and clean but a few stains on the upholstery could have been cleaned off. Good WiFi and TV/Sky was great. Quiet, restful evening and comfortable bed. Lovely view in the morning and walk down to the marina was enjoyable. No shops to get breakfast, coffee or snacks nearby.

Room was clean and comfortable. Outside of property and certain areas inside were neglected for some reason. Despite this we enjoyed our stay and found it perfect for one night. Plenty of food outlets and shops within a 10 min drive, there is no restaurant in the hotel.

Prisvärt! Nära till Auckland city via färja som endast tog tio minuter. Finns dock ingenting annat i närheten av hotellet än bostadshus. Restaurangen stängd och gymet kändes övergivet och behöver kärlek. Men personalen är fantastisk och det finns det mesta för självhushåll. Lite slitet överlag men helt ok för priset. Vi kommer gärna igen!

Beautiful property as described on the internet easy check in and out, car park was on the grass running along side of property this was ok, we had dinner at the beautiful historic Northcote tavern about 10 minutes drive from the property, spacious comfortable apartment loved our stay.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Large well equipped room with a great view. Clean and comfortable. Friendly and helpful staff. Easy free parking. Bayswater is quiet but the hotel is only a five minute walk to the ferry and a ten minute ride into the centre of Auckland. There is no restaurant open on site currently and no restaurants or shops nearby, so plan to shop and eat in central Auckland or in your room.

Reasonable price, comfy bed, clean & parking was easy. However, extremely disappointed in a few other aspects that made our stay overall not good. Reception is only until 6pm on Weekends and they leave a phone and number to call for emergencies. On our last night at approx. 12am we started smelling rotten eggs and gas in our room. We immediately went to the front and called the number on both our phones and the phone they provide - we tried MULTIPLE times and no one answered and we even left a message and never heard back. We ended up having to call emergency services ourselves to come and inspect the room. Thankfully the reading was negative but the fact that their emergency line did not work and we were left to deal with this ourselves is unacceptable. When we went to check out the next day (during front desk hours) no one was at the front for us even talk to about this. With all the security cameras we also can’t understand why no one saw the 8 fire fighters that came into the hotel. Additionally, we didn’t end up in the room we booked. It wasn’t a downgrade but wasn’t like the photos online - the washer/dryer was also broken which was partly why we booked the hotel in the first place. The room we were placed in was an “accessible” room (which we didn’t need) however I’d like to note it is NOT wheelchair accessible and the placement of the bed and layout of the bathroom would not be accommodating for someone actually needing accessible room. Will be sending an email.

We’ve stayed here regularly and it’s been ok. Unfortunately this time it was too disgusting to stay. Cockroaches, used toothpick next to the bed, dirty socks left behind. A musky smell in the room. We didn’t even stay one night. When we tried to communicate this at check out on Friday night, where we handed in the key, we unfortunately had a very disinterested person on the desk who told us to have a good day 🙄 we’re not after a refund, just letting the motel know. We usually stay here, several times a year, but this time it was too bad.
