This is an absolutely fantastic hotel in Thamel yet the area is quieter than many areas of Thamel. The staff are fantastic, the room was excellent and the breakfast was very good! The view from the rooftop restaurant is breathtaking! Look for the manager Mr Bishnu. He will make sure everything is perfect!

Woodapple is super clean, professionally run and a great hotel to just escape the hustle of Kathmandu. The staff were amazing and were extremely helpful and supportive to any of our needs. The rooftop restaurant has a great outlook over the city.

Can't really believe this is just rated as a 3-star hotel. I've stayed in 4 and 5 star hotels that didn't offer the same comfort and rooms. Staff are amazing, always responsive. Breakfast is decent and the treatments in the hotel's spa were great. Best of all, rooms are clean and spacious.

I have travelled around the world and this is is one of the best hotels I’ve stayed in. The owner gives each and every person individualized attention and care. The owner and staff go above and beyond to give excellent service. The hotel is aesthetically and architecturally beautiful including the personal touches in each room. Very clean with good daily housekeeping and a beautiful rooftop restaurant and bar as well as a large terrace. The hot breakfast buffet that is included, goes above and beyond most hotel inclusive breakfasts and includes fresh and delicious made to order items There is a spa which is very clean and has all amenities, had a great deep tissue massage daily for a very reasonable price with great service. The views from the room outstanding!! Will include pics

I stayed 2 nights at Woodapple post-trek and it was fabulous! From the moment I checked in, the staff were so kind and helpful. Complimentary drinks at welcome and smiles all around. The rooms were big and very clean! Even the cleaning staff were so helpful and kind. They wished me “Happy New Year” as I was there during the Nepalese New Year and they were so helpful. I even had a massage there and the service was great! Very convenient. The breakfast was great and the view was amazing! The restaurant staff were so kind. I have to compliment the manager as he knew my name and would greet me anytime he saw me. Always making sure I was okay and taken care of! From the moment I checked in to when I left to the airport, he was there waiting on me. Amazing all around. I would definitely stay at Woodapple again and highly recommend it to anyway staying in Nepal! Very walkable and just around the corner from shops and other restaurants.

We recently stayed at this hotel for 9 nights and we had a wonderful experience. Upon arrival, we were upgraded to a suite even though we only booked a small room. The Operations Director, Bishnu, made an effort to get to know us and chatted with us every time we ran into him at the restaurant. One night, he even offered to treat us to a complimentary dinner which we gladly accepted. The waiters were all very friendly and got to know us so well that they brought us our usual drink/food items every morning without asking. The suite was cleaned and restocked every day and we spent a lot of time relaxing there in the mornings and evenings. The hotel's location is very convenient to many restaurants and shops in Thamel and finding a taxi around the hotel was very easy if we wanted to venture farther. Our only regret is not having enough cash at the end of our 2-month trip to Nepal to tip everybody generously or at all in some cases. If we ever go back to Kathmandu, this is definitely the hotel we'll stay at. I still think of the comfortable bed and miss it so much. I had the best sleep there during our 2-month stay in Nepal. Thank you so much, Bishnu, for managing this hotel so well and thank you to all the employees who made our stay so special. We couldn't have had a better experience for our final week in Nepal.

This hotel is perfect in every way. It is nestled in a quaint little street off the busy roads of Thamel in Kathmandu. You often hear guitar and singing from the cafe below in the late evenings. The hotel employees offer the best hospitality possible. You are immediately greeted with everyone in the front desk standing up for you every time you enter the hotel. And let me tell you I was pretty active so I entered numerous times a day. And every time they stood up for me. Just absolutely beautiful people. Breakfast is amazing too. You get plenty of buffet food choices and A la carte as well. I stayed for 27 nights and each day was amazing. I never had a bad day. My room was immaculate because housekeeping cleaned everyday. The bed was amazingly comfortable. The AC was high functioning and plenty of toiletries were always available. As a good gesture the manager offered me the presidential suite for my last night. It was a very big room with a jacuzzi. Everything about this hotel was just right. It’s also a 10-15 min walk to mostly everything. I’ll definitely stay here again for my next trip to Nepal. You just can’t go wrong staying here.

The stay exceeded our expectations. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The location was quiet and was close to many attractions. The room was clean, the air-conditioning was cold. Bed was comfortable. The shower had great pressure and hot. The free breakfast was fantastic with many varieties, something for everyone on the rooftop looking over Kathmandu. We will return.

The hotel was decent overall. The restaurant upstairs was surprisingly good, and the service staff were friendly and welcoming. The one major drawback was how much sound carries throughout the building. Unfortunately, the manager (the man in a suit) often spoke so loudly on his phone that it disrupted the atmosphere. I could hear him from the restaurant one floor up during my first check-in, and later I couldn’t even wait peacefully in the lobby for my cab because his voice carried across the entire space. It really took away from the otherwise nice experience. I ended up relying on earplugs and headphones just to tune it out. Shouty people can be grating, and in a place where guests want to relax, that made a difference.

This hotel is perfect in every way. It is nestled in a quaint little street off the busy roads of Thamel in Kathmandu. You often hear guitar and singing from the cafe below in the late evenings. The hotel employees offer the best hospitality possible. You are immediately greeted with everyone in the front desk standing up for you every time you enter the hotel. And let me tell you I was pretty active so I entered numerous times a day. And every time they stood up for me. Just absolutely beautiful people. Breakfast is amazing too. You get plenty of buffet food choices and A la carte as well. I stayed for 27 nights and each day was amazing. I never had a bad day. My room was immaculate because housekeeping cleaned everyday. The bed was amazingly comfortable. The AC was high functioning and plenty of toiletries were always available. As a good gesture the manager offered me the presidential suite for my last night. It was a very big room with a jacuzzi. Everything about this hotel was just right. It’s also a 10-15 min walk to mostly everything. I’ll definitely stay here again for my next trip to Nepal. You just can’t go wrong staying here.

We came back to kathmandu so that we could make our flight out of Nepal easily, so we came to a hotel we knew was good. We got a more modest room, but having come here before and having reserved a higher end room that time, the staff remembered our preference and upgraded us to that higher end room free of charge! The staff are fantastically helpful and nice, we could go to them for tips on places we wanted to go, and their food is also really good. Have a lot of nice options from breakfast to the a la carte menu. We didn't need to eat out that much because they had very good options, including many good nepali food staples. It was also nice that this was located at the edge of Thamel, so we could easily get to many touristy shopping areas/locations and enjoy a quite rest away from the streets. Tremendously nice people, space, service, location, and food.

Woodapple is super clean, professionally run and a great hotel to just escape the hustle of Kathmandu. The staff were amazing and were extremely helpful and supportive to any of our needs. The rooftop restaurant has a great outlook over the city.

We recently stayed at this hotel for 9 nights and we had a wonderful experience. Upon arrival, we were upgraded to a suite even though we only booked a small room. The Operations Director, Bishnu, made an effort to get to know us and chatted with us every time we ran into him at the restaurant. One night, he even offered to treat us to a complimentary dinner which we gladly accepted. The waiters were all very friendly and got to know us so well that they brought us our usual drink/food items every morning without asking. The suite was cleaned and restocked every day and we spent a lot of time relaxing there in the mornings and evenings. The hotel's location is very convenient to many restaurants and shops in Thamel and finding a taxi around the hotel was very easy if we wanted to venture farther. Our only regret is not having enough cash at the end of our 2-month trip to Nepal to tip everybody generously or at all in some cases. If we ever go back to Kathmandu, this is definitely the hotel we'll stay at. I still think of the comfortable bed and miss it so much. I had the best sleep there during our 2-month stay in Nepal. Thank you so much, Bishnu, for managing this hotel so well and thank you to all the employees who made our stay so special. We couldn't have had a better experience for our final week in Nepal.

I stayed 2 nights at Woodapple post-trek and it was fabulous! From the moment I checked in, the staff were so kind and helpful. Complimentary drinks at welcome and smiles all around. The rooms were big and very clean! Even the cleaning staff were so helpful and kind. They wished me “Happy New Year” as I was there during the Nepalese New Year and they were so helpful. I even had a massage there and the service was great! Very convenient. The breakfast was great and the view was amazing! The restaurant staff were so kind. I have to compliment the manager as he knew my name and would greet me anytime he saw me. Always making sure I was okay and taken care of! The transfer to from the airport was smooth and very clean and nice room, we go one of the higher end rooms for a nice couples getaway and couldn't have asked for a better space. The staff were fantastically helpful, we could go to them for tips on places we wanted to go, and they gave us suggestions on what app to use for transportation at the lowest price. Their food was also really good. Have a lot of nice options from breakfast to the a la carte menu. We didn't need to eat out that much because they had very good options, including many good nepali food staples. It was also nice that this was located at the edge of Thamel, so we could easily get to many touristy shopping areas/locations and enjoy a quite rest away from the streets. My stay was pleasant and great. The manager (Ram) was welcoming and addressed any concerns I had. He even had one of his staff members (Nishesh thapa) go find me an ESIM card. This is an absolutely fantastic hotel in Thamel yet the area is quieter than many areas of Thamel. The staff are fantastic, the room was excellent and the breakfast was very good! The view from the rooftop restaurant is breathtaking! Look for the manager Mr Bishnu. He will make sure everything is perfect!

The stay exceeded our expectations. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The location was quiet and was close to many attractions. The room was clean, the air-conditioning was cold. Bed was comfortable. The shower had great pressure and hot. The free breakfast was fantastic with many varieties, something for everyone on the rooftop looking over Kathmandu. We will return.

The transfer to from the airport was smooth and very clean and nice room, we go one of the higher end rooms for a nice couples getaway and couldn't have asked for a better space. The staff were fantastically helpful, we could go to them for tips on places we wanted to go, and they gave us suggestions on what app to use for transportation at the lowest price. Their food was also really good. Have a lot of nice options from breakfast to the a la carte menu. We didn't need to eat out that much because they had very good options, including many good nepali food staples. It was also nice that this was located at the edge of Thamel, so we could easily get to many touristy shopping areas/locations and enjoy a quite rest away from the streets. Tremendously nice people, space, service, location, and food.

This hotel is perfect in every way. It is nestled in a quaint little street off the busy roads of Thamel in Kathmandu. You often hear guitar and singing from the cafe below in the late evenings. The hotel employees offer the best hospitality possible. You are immediately greeted with everyone in the front desk standing up for you every time you enter the hotel. And let me tell you I was pretty active so I entered numerous times a day. And every time they stood up for me. Just absolutely beautiful people. Breakfast is amazing too. You get plenty of buffet food choices and A la carte as well. I stayed for 27 nights and each day was amazing. I never had a bad day. My room was immaculate because housekeeping cleaned everyday. The bed was amazingly comfortable. The AC was high functioning and plenty of toiletries were always available. As a good gesture the manager offered me the presidential suite for my last night. It was a very big room with a jacuzzi. Everything about this hotel was just right. It’s also a 10-15 min walk to mostly everything. I’ll definitely stay here again for my next trip to Nepal. You just can’t go wrong staying here.

My stay was pleasant and great. The manager (Ram) was welcoming and addressed any concerns I had. He even had one of his staff members (Nishesh thapa) go find me an ESIM card. Which was greatly appreciated. The manager and the staff went out of there way. Location was great. Breakfast was Yummy. Would stay again.

Woodapple is super clean, professionally run and a great hotel to just escape the hustle of Kathmandu. The staff were amazing and were extremely helpful and supportive to any of our needs. The rooftop restaurant has a great outlook over the city.
