We stayed in cottage 4, which was significantly larger than we anticipated considering there was only two of us. This could comfortably fit 8 people, and had a full kitchen (no microwave though) - but no WiFi. However, there wasn't enough hot water for two showers in the morning - even after waiting over an hour between to try to give it time to hear back up. This caused us to leave much later than we wanted to as I was trying to avoid a cold shower before heading out for a cold day. Thankfully checkout is late, so we weren't rushed to get out in that sense. Other than the hot water issue - I would definitely recommend this property to everyone going through the area.

A nice place but it was very dirty. Rubish on the front deck from the previous guests, dead flys on the floor inside and all the plates, pots and pans ect where greasy. If the owner would do a little cleaning this would be a nice place.

Jól felszerelt, tiszta, kis faház 12 km-re Stykkisholmurtól. Földút visz a házhoz, de ez nekünk nem okozott problémát. A kulcsot a közeli szállodában kaptuk meg. Másnap tudtuk meg, hogyha az ő oldalukon foglaltunk volna, a szállodában felszolgált reggeli benne lett volna az árban. Az egyetlen negatívum a földre nyítható kanapéágy, ami még két 7 éves kisgyereknek is kényelmetlen volt.

the man and women at the front desk were amazing. they went above and beyond for us. we were in a car accident (rear ended) on our first day in Iceland (about 15 minutes from the cottages) and were very stuck as we couldn’t drive the car or make phone calls. we got in contact with them and they not only picked us up but moved us into a room in the main part of the building so that we could be close to the front desk to use their phones to make many calls back and forth to our car rental company. their customer service was exceptional and we were so grateful for their kindness. the room itself was clean and having a tv and kettle in room was great. there also was a great coffee machine in the lobby. highly recommend this place.

Cottage is a bit outdated especially the bathroom. Hotel has a restaurant and accommodation looks more modern there. We ate at the restaurant both nights Salmon and Lamb where amazing would highly recommend 😀

The feeling of home. A quaint idyllic spot and a perfectly appointed cabin. Wish we had stayed here while visiting Snæfellsness peninsula. The washing machine an added bonus as was the view out of all the windows!

We stayed in a small one bedroom cabin that was just what we needed. As in the photos, it was rustic and tight and very quiet. There are some fantastic views - a short jaunt up the hiking trail at the pull off between the highway and the driveway was absolutely other worldly and well worth it, even if you only have a short amount of time to spend there.

We got in on a very windy stormy night, and were greeted by a wonderful host at the hotel. Our cottage was very comfortable and had everything one might need. The bathroom is a wet room. Skip the breakfast, and bring your own food.

Nach einem sehr nassen und kalten Tag war es eine positive Überraschung, in ein vorgewärmtes Häuschen zu kommen. Der Check-in verlief völlig unkompliziert über das dazugehörige Hotel. Alles sehr gemütlich und stimmig eingerichtet. Die Küche war mit allem notwendigen ausgestattet und im Bad befindet sich sogar eine Waschmaschine. Die Hütte liegt mitten in der Natur ohne jegliche Lichtverschmutzung, weshalb wir als Bonus in unseren 2. Nacht auf Island direkt Nordlichter sehen konnten. Wir würden jederzeit wiederkommen!

I can not be more happy about this property. The woman in the hotel was so kind at check in. We stayed in one of the cabins. They're adorable, kitchen is fully stocked with tea, coffee and spices which we haven't seen in the other cabins. It's a nice little touch, overal all these little touches and design and nice cute cups and plates made us feel really welcome. THIS IS THE BEST PLACE FOR NORTHERN LIGHTS! You can see them right sitting from your porch, you're in the country side and your view of the lights is not obstructed at all. We went to other cabins where you can see the lights but you had to sit away from the cabin or walk to a different point away from lights or hills or such (I know, big deal) but this place is just so perfect. We saw an absolutely stunning dancing northern lights show for about 6 hours right from the comfort of our porch with shelter from the wind. It is very small but I would recommend this place any time. Just don't book it all because we want to come back too!
