Nice simple updated classic motel. Enjoyed the outdoor space off our room ... bed was very comfortable. However, it was the weekend and there was a lot of noise from various groups of fellow motel patrons who were also enjoying their outdoor spaces with beverages well into the night which affected our overall experience.

The inn was completely no contact, which was fine for us. Keys were received from a dispenser at check in and left in the room upon checkout. The shower had excellent water pressure and the a/c was cold. There was a good sized table and chairs in the room as well as an outside deck with chairs. Nice area, clean and comfortable. I wish we'd had more time to explore the amenities such as the private dock.

It was very clean and quiet. It would have been nice to have a fire pit and a grill to cook out at night. Both our neighbors were very nice people. The days that we stayed, there was never any ice in the ice chest.

This was a little motel in a small town about 30 minutes south of Sturgeon Bay. It was alright. The room was a bit musty and smelt of smoke. There wasn't a lot to the town of Alogma, but we made due by visiting a little bar and then out to Homestead for a good meal. Check in an check out were easy. The vending machine didn't work. Overall, it was exactly as we reviewed it.

We've stayed here before and enjoyed it very much. The only complaint I had for this stay is there was excess moisture and water coming from condensation on windows by air conditioner (which we did not have to use). The carpet was damp & wet in that area. I had placed my laptop carrier on the floor and realized it was wet on the bottom. It also had a moldy smell.

Super clean room so nice and clean clean bathroom. Shower was great bed was perfect had fridge too. Air conditioning on when we got there so nice temperature and parking was just directly in front. My daugher and her husband stayed in room next to ours and theirs was perfect too clean and my daugher said the best shower she ever had!

Cute place, good for a one night stay. Only thing is the parking lot is hard to get in and out out in cedar house when full of other people. We also had what looked like blood stains on our beds. Other than that bathrooms and room was clean.

Be careful. There are ants. We booked a tripple room, room 136. This room had ants on every wall and in the bathroom. After calling their front desk, because there is nobody actually working the property, they offered a double room. This double room would not fit my family of 5 so i requested a refund as we could not have 3 kids sleep in beds with ants. I requested a refund and to speak with management. They said i would still be charged for one night and they would refund the rest of the stay. I would not recommend anyone to stay here as how can they charge for one night when my family had an ant infested room and could not offer enough space for everyone to sleep? Insanity. Needless to say we left and 6 days later I have still not heard from management, even after following up 2 separate times.

Checkin/out with kiosk, clean room, bed was good Tv, ac, cofee kerig, fridge all worked. Good water pressure also. Rooms are a little small but if your just looking for a quick stay this place is winner. Would definetly stay again.

Unit was small but clean. Bathroom was clean & in good condition. Sink & toilet up to date. Shower & water temp consistency was wonderful. Bed was very comfortable. Overhead light in main living area was very small & dim making it difficult to see in that area. The only other light was a very small light attached to wall next to bed. AC unit was fairly loud all night. We would stay there again as price was reasonable & it was clean.

We stayed here while traveling about Door County. It was clean and relatively quiet. The check-in process was easy and just as described on the text I received. Self check-in went smoothly but I would have preferred a desk clerk. Room, bath, linens and bed quite clean. Walls are a bit thin. I’d recommend earplugs. Quite a few checks-ins around 2 AM with doors closing etc. Reasonable price.

The property is older but kept up and modernized very well. The room was neat and clean. Check-in was done with a text and an automated key box system. I never saw staff all weekend but everything was done. We do everything else by text these days, so why not this? Kudos to owners for keeping up with the times!

Checking in is all automated so no human contact which slightly turned me off. The next day the maid was good with attention to us as we needed some items. We were gone all day then cam back and an entire wall of the room had lost electricity. Could not charge our phones and bedside light did not work. I sent text to phone number they gave for issues, never heard anything. I also sent a text to the autobot that gave info for checkout but no response there as well. So no response at all with the issue. Room was clean, bed comfortable.

We enjoyed our five night stay at the River Hills Motel very much. Algoma is a beautiful little town, and the property was very convenient for what we wanted to do in the area. We had a problem with the bed in the first room we were given, and the management team did a great job taking care of us by immediately moving us to another room. I was very impressed with their responsiveness and by their willingness to make things right. We would definitely stay there again!

This is a straight forward, no frills, old style motel. It was inexpensive relative to other properties in the area. There were comfortable chairs on the covered porch It was crowded, but quiet. The digital checkin was impersonal, but the housekeeper, Kiyanne (sp?) was wonderful, so helpful and thoughtful. If Door County is your destination, Algoma is as pretty, interesting and friendly an entry point as I can imagine. Lovely stay, lovely town.

Took off one star since I never received my access code in order to get a key from the lockbox (since no person was on site). Called the number provided several times and no one answered. Finally got a call back after I sent them a text, and I was able to get my keys. Other than that, it was a quiet, relaxing stay. Room was quaint but had everything you could need. Loved the look and feel. Would definitely go back!

The fact that no one was available to get more towels, ect. was a bummer. Called the number . It rang for 5 minutes with no answer. Room was clean and cute. Patio was nice. The sheets pulled off the bed quite easily. Missed the human contact.

Thanks for the opportunity to comment. On property we came in late so didn’t walk around to be able to give it a fair score. Room was very tidy. Only a couple of tissues in tissue box and no vent in bathroom. Key entry was sweet and easy. No coffee around and really needed it!!!
