Under Canvas Grand Canyon

Virkelig dejligt sted. Rene og pæne telte med stor, god seng. Dejligt med egen terrasse så man kan nyde solen og stjernerne. Bliver koldt om natten (midt sep), men brændeovn + tæpper i hytten hjælper. Vi havde telt uden eget toilet og bad - var helt fint. Fælles områderne var rene og pæne. Og det var enkelt-mands båse, så man kunne gå i bad helt for sig selv. Lidt dyrt for én nat, men vi synes, at det var det værd. Også god mad på den restauranten med store portioner. Lidt pricy, men den eneste mulighed. Live musik om aftenen + smores over bål. Så hyggeligt.

A real mixed bag. Loved the remoteness of the place and the concept is great. Staff were great too and big thumbs up to them. However, in my view the facilities and tents are lacking just that little bit. It's all well and good being 'environmental', but pull chain showers are ridiculous. Food is way overpriced for the quality and quantity. Having experienced 'glamping' in Namibia last year, Under Canvas does have an awful lot to learn.

Under Canvas was an experience! All the reasons you would choose to do this make it worth it! The night sky, the “glamping” with high-end onsite food/beverage vibes, & the camaraderie of fellow GCNP visitors are all on-point! We stayed in May in a tent with private bathroom & shower. The tents are heated by a small camp stove. Struggling to keep the fire going all night, holding a pull cord for a cold shower, & hearing the excited overnight murmurings of couples in tents nearby made this an experience we will choose only once. PRO TIP: Sound carries in the quiet desert at night.

Dépaysement assuré. N’étant pas adepte du camping j’ai apprécié la tente, très confortable. Les communs étaient très propres ! Et les équipes sur place aux petits soins. Seul bémol : la proximité avec le parking qui peut occasionner une gêne avec les vas et viens des occupants.
