Clear Sky Resorts - Grand Canyon - Unique Sky Domes

We had an amazing time staying in the space dome at Clear Sky Resorts! The kids had a blast with all of the fun activities that the resort offers like yard games, a playground, jump pillow, and movies and s’mores by the campfire each night. All of the staff that we encountered were extremely friendly and helpful. The domes were a very cool experience that I would highly recommend anyone try at least once. Just remember that they are essentially big tents in the Arizona desert so some dirt does get inside and it won’t be 100% clean but if you go in with the mindset that you are “glamping” it will exceed expectations. The food served in the dining tent was actually pretty yummy, we liked the flatbreads. Thanks for the great memories! We will definitely be back!

The rooms were nice, but we were disappointed in the amenities that they advertise. The tetherball posts did not have balls, the tricycles were impossible to ride on the rocks, the disc golf was supposed to glow in the dark, but only 1 hole had lights that worked, the frisbees were supposed to light up but those did not work, and the smores are a great idea, but there are only 2 firepits and lots of people so its very crowded. They need more fire pits. The rooms were clean and nice but the amenities need a lot of work especially because they advertise them so strongly.

Clear Sky was a wonderful experience. Our room had everything we needed and the facilities were fun. Go make s'mores at the bonfire or sit in the welcome dome and listen to a live musician, watch a movie and definitely eat dinner in the dining hall which has plenty of room and the food was outstanding. When you go to bed make sure your dome cover is open and wake unin middle of the night and be amazed by the beauty of the night sky. Williams, Flagstaff and Grand Canyon nearby. The road coming is rough and dress for the beautiful outdoors.

We had a wonderful time once we got checked in. There is so much to do, it has a great playground for the kids, star gazing, live music. And best of all you can make your own s’mores!

Very unique stay, clear skies isn’t just the name, it’s a true clear skies resort. Viewing the constellations were amazing. There were plenty of activities day and night. The food was also great! Staff so helpful and very courteous.

Very beautiful getaway. Glamping is never perfect so be flexible. The dome was charmful and customer service was excellent. A lot of community options such as roasting s’mores, stargazing, cornhole, and movies. Alternatively, you can relax in your dome in solitude. Will be back for sure!!

We enjoyed staying here as one splurge on vacation, as it is pricey to just sleep there one night. But we enjoyed it a lot, the food truck was great, we had the s’mores by the fire pit and they had a gentleman playing guitar in the main building, so we sat and listened to him and had a beer. The view from the dome was amazing in the morning, with ours facing east, so was up before sunrise to watch it. Perfect!

Exceptional experience and property. All the amenities were on-point. While it was 15 degrees outside the domes were warm with lots of hot water, big showers and super comfy beds. Staff makes sure you are warm and happy. The property has lots to do in terms of lawn games and playground … even an adult-sized tricycle race track, huge jump pad, too much to list out. The welcome dome was awesome with games, fire pit inside and movies. Also appreciated the text communication from the property. We bought all the gear from the merch shop to remember it!

Best, most interesting place we have ever stayed! So many amenities. Food truck with exciting options, corn hole, s'mores, picnic tables with swing seats, outdoor cabana type swing pods, tricycle track (kids and adults), family friendly movie dome, glow Frisbee golf, playground, bounce bag... the list goes on. Great music in the welcome dome, night sky tours and special arrangements for special events really cap off this places' magnificence. We liked it so much we canceled our plans and extended our stay another night. Stay here!!!!

Unique property. Great concept. Domes are not sealed! Ants everywhere! Crawling on drapes, bathroom shower, floor in living area and bathroom. I cleaned the chairs with my own Clorox wipes. No storage for clothes. As a person with severe OCD I left the resort within 20 minutes. Staff was nice but they would not refund my purchase. They would give me a free stay in the future but I have no desire to ever return! The prices for the domes do not reflect the accommodations you actually receive. Very overpriced and I’m extremely sad, I was very excited to stay at Clear Sky Resorts Grand Canyon……

We love the domes. Different super cool, adorable super clean and they care about every detail in the dome.

There was a mold smell in our dome as well as our friends dome. Laminate flooring was chipped/cracking causing you to injure your feet if walking barefoot. I arrived feeling great and left sickly from the mold issues. Definitely not worth the money paid. Atmosphere at the resort itself was awesome, but domes were in very poor condition.

Staff need hospitality training. We checked in at 6PM and were told our room is not ready. Staff had an attitude and not apologetic at all. I was told they only have 2 housekeepers which is not my problem.We ate at their restaurant very pricy for the quality of food. We finally get to our dome at 7:15PM. Not enough lighting inside which is good otherwise you may not be able to sleep if you see the dingy room and it has a musty smell. Not enough outlet to charge your phone. The wall papers are peeling off. The bathroom is moldy around the edges. For the price you pay I expect at least something decent. You are better off going to a motel I think. For the stargazing it was good but you get that experience by camping outside in the dirt. I will not go back to this place nor recommend it to other people. It was my first time to give a bad review ever. What a disappointment .

The dome was spotless, cozy, and the view of the stars at night was breathtaking. We'll be back for sure!

Friendly staff, but the rooms are very deteriorated and not very clean. Towels were still wet from the laundry, rugs and floors were dusty!the experience was ok. We only stay one night.

Not recommended It was very cold and the ac wasn’t working well They also gave us a mini ac abut it wasn’t working. Air drier wasn’t working The room was dirty and with a lot of dust. Food was terrible and some of it wasn’t fully cooked.

The dome was surreal, especially at night with the sky full of stars. Once-in-a-lifetime vibe.

Impressed from start to finish. The check-in process was smooth, and the dome was spacious and comfortable. I appreciated how quiet it was at night, perfect for a good night’s sleep after a long day of exploring.

Service was great but it was cold when we got there and the heater did work. They brought us blankets and an extra space heater.

We spent a night at the Clear Sky Resorts for our wedding anniversary. The temperature at night at the end of October is already cold. The heating in the bathroom is ok but for the rest of the dome heating is insufficient. We had to put on our jacket during the sleep. However, food is exceptionally good on the premises. We also really enjoy the star gazing at night and see the stars through the telescopes. The staffs are very helpful and friendly.

This was our first time visiting, although it was a really cool property and experience the dome was in rough shape. It was cold all night where the heater couldn’t keep up. The wallpaper was peeling and walls cracking. The door key was a pain and the code entrance didn’t work. The clear see-through wall was dingy and had been patched with tape which it made it unpleasant and almost impossible to see outside. I would say overall it was cool experience but I would try and plan this visit in warmer weather.

Amazing Hotel!! Experience is awesome and it worths the try. Expensive but great. Staff amazing. Heaters didn’t catch up and room was really cold at night.

Staff is super! They even give u a pair of complimentary slippers. Good water pressure and temperature. Towels are plush. Only complaint is there needs to be a table and chairs in the dome to eat at. The current chairs are too laid back so u cannot eat there. Also the dome cover is plastic so star gazing isn’t going to happen. And the moon roof is just a glare. Great concept tho!

Domes are arranged well to give privacy and great views. Staff were really helpful and friendly. Food from the van was much higher quality than we expected. The surf and turf was amazing - the best steak we have ever had! Huge compliments to the chef! We arrived just before a storm so had our luggage brought to our dome and we left it to go and get food. When we returned, the rain had leaked into the dome in various places (mainly near the window area), all over the bed, the floor and our luggage was soaked. The staff obviously know the domes leak as they were going around giving extra towels to dry things. Staying in a budget tent, I would expect some rain leakage in bad weather but the price you pay, you don't expect this. It would have been good if the staff had warned us the domes leak and told us the best place to leave our belongings within the dome so they didn't get ruined. Despite this, we loved staying at the resort. Such a great experience seeing the sun rise and set and then viewing the stars through the sky light.

Like a SAUNA, no airflow, good luck trying to enjoy a view as the sun was blazing in the plastic windows so the curtain couldn’t be opened. Billed as a family tent and 1 bed was an air mattress. Ladder is so unsafe and it was even hotter up in the loft. So overpriced and there’s a reason it’s non refundable.

Such a peaceful and beautiful resort. We felt totally relaxed and cared for the entire time. Staff were incredibly welcoming and helpful.

This resort is a hidden gem near the Grand Canyon. Everything was excellent. We needed extra pillows and towels, and they accommodated us quickly and efficiently.

I recently stayed at Clear Sky Resorts and overall had a great experience at the property. The rooms were unique, clean, and well-maintained, and the staff was super friendly. The bathroom was very nice, and the location is beautiful—especially at night under the stars. However, I want to share an important caution for anyone booking through Hotels.com or Expedia. I needed to change my reservation and remove one night before the cutoff time. Hotels.com told me I had to contact the hotel directly. The hotel wasn’t responsive at first, so Hotels.com told me they had contacted the hotel on my behalf and that I would be eligible for a refund if I had documentation proving I checked out early. When I finally reached the hotel, they said they updated my reservation, but when I checked out, they refused to give me any documentation. They told me Expedia/Hotels.com could call them to verify, but when I relayed this to Hotels.com, they reversed their position and claimed they couldn’t issue a refund because the hotel had charged me directly—even though the charge clearly came from the hotel and not Expedia. So now I’m stuck in the middle of a blame game where no one wants to take responsibility, and I’ve had to file a dispute with my credit card company to try to get my money back. My advice: • Only book through Hotels.com/Expedia if you’re 100% sure of your plans. Any changes may be impossible. • Be prepared to get the runaround if you try to modify your reservation or get a re

We laid in bed and watched the stars all night. An experience I’ll be telling everyone about.The team went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable. The desert sunrise from our dome—wow!

We completely empathize that the resort staff seem swamped - they kept telling us this. They’re understaffed and oversold, and apparently a recent hail storm took out a lot of their domes (including the “welcome dome”). That said, this experience was really disappointing. We arrived at 3:30 (a bit before checkin), and didn’t get into our dome until 7pm. At no point we’re we given an ETA, despite asking many times. Just told “we got too popular too fast and we’re doing our best”. Fair. But sitting in a busy dining tent full of angry people for three hours was terrible. The food was pretty bad, the regular activities didn’t seem to be happening, again since they’re understaffed, we missed the sunset and finally found our dome in the pitch black dark. Once inside it was dirty, lots of bugs, stains on walls/curtains/sheets. Definitely don’t recommend this place right now, but hopefully they can fix it up before next season or lower their prices a ton.

Wow! This resort is perfect. From start to finish everything was fantastic.  I would especially like to praise the staff who were available for all our questions during the reservation and delighted us with their quality of business. Thank you for an unforgettable time!

The dome I stayed in was cozy and modern, and the location was ideal for exploring the Grand Canyon. The night was peaceful, and I had a fantastic view of the clear sky, truly magical. The staff was accommodating, and everything was easy, from booking to check-out. I loved how everything was set up for a comfortable and unique experience. If you're looking for a memorable stay near the Grand Canyon, this place is definitely worth it!

Was hoping it would be a bit farther off the highway. Although you can't see the highway you can hear it.

Parking area is about 20 feet from dome, walkable but at night there is no lights making path back visible. Our dome had an issue locking but the staff were very receptive and prompt to addressing the issue offering to move domes. food truck was good, hours convenient. Complimentary s’mores were a nice treat by the fire under the amazing star gazing sky. Close by the Grand Canyon about 25 min drive. Wish the dome was glass and more open to viewing the outdoors versus just a small panel area and a small square on the roof. Overall good experience

Unique experience with kids. The price is on a little higher side though. There’s not much food choices. If you are going Grand Canyon more Hotel and food choices in the village.

Everything from check-in to check-out was smooth. Staff were attentive and the resort itself is just breathtaking.The resort is spotless, peaceful, and perfectly situated for exploring the Grand Canyon.

Everything good except there is no sign for Clear Sky resort or a street name sign so it’s very hard to find where to turn off 64.

Everything was fantastic even better than we imagine so glad we came to visit. Cannot wait to come back. The food was wonderful. The yogurt parfait is incredible. The breakfast burrito the pasta for dinner with sandwiches for lunch very impressed the amenities of the resort fantastic just an incredible experience. Cannot wait to come back.

We had a wonderful stay at Clear Sky resort. The domes were extremely comfortable and the bathrooms were shockingly new, nice and in general fantastic. Great water pressure with a rain shower head. I wish we were able to stay longer to take advantage of more activities. The food was from a food truck. It was some of the best food we had on our trip. So nice to relax around the campfire while having dinner and s'mores listening to live music under the stars. We had 6 adults in our group staying in 2 domes. Everyone agrees that it was one of the most unique, fun and relaxing stops we had on our vacation. Perfect place to land after a day hiking through the Grand Canyon. Thanks for the hospitality!

There isn’t many places to eat around so you are basically stuck eating from their food truck which the food isn’t bad just very limited menu

Poor property maintenance for pricing, floor was damaged in the room which was a hazard, swing in room was cracked, a/c can't keep up, food was terrible and overpriced, the stargazing activity was not worth the money as it is not properly planned. All the staff was very nice and welcoming which made our stay enjoyable.

Incredible stay! We were only here for one night and enjoyed every minute in the star gazing dome. Food from the food truck was delicious as well.

It was cold and windy there. The room had very little heat. We had to leave and forfeit our money for the second night because we couldn’t take another night of freezing cold. The restaurant was closed for breakfast due to staffing issues. Very poor experience.

Clear Sky Resort was an amazing and very unique experience! We wished we could have stayed longer! Dominick was extremely helpful at ckeck-in since we had never been there before. Can't wait to go back! Food at their on site food truck was amazing!
