Everything was great. Staff were lovely and a very good breakfast. It wasn’t easy to park my van, but it does warn you parking is first come first served.

Very clean, all the staff were friendly even though it was very busy in the build up to new year. We ate at the restaurant and the food was great. Chose it mainly cos it was dog friendly but would certainty go back without the dogs, is a short walk into Ripon centre and there looked to be lots of nice bars and restaurants.

Good dog friendly hotel. Was our wedding anniversary hotel informed on booking. Nothing was done. My husband tried to make it a special evening but wasn't the sort of place for that! The food was ok but we would class it as pub grub. Nice to have fresh veg though. Room was very warm, but very clean. Nice grounds to walk round. We would stay again .

The hotel was lovely and on such a sunny day we really enjoyed the terrace and gardens. The food we had in the afternoon was delicious! However, the breakfast was not so good. Food items were stale even though we didn't go down particularly late. Was very disappointed with this part of the stay but the rest was great.

Comfortable hotel in a good location, with friendly and helpful staff and attractive outdoor spaces (terrace and grounds). Generous breakfast buffet. A nice touch: guests who opted not to have their rooms serviced were given a voucher for a free drink at the bar. Good for the environment, albeir money-saving for the hotel. Not so good: a large hotel like this with two upper floors should have more than one lift, and the fact that it had broken down during most of our stay underlined the problem. Many of the guests (included my friend and myself) were elderly so this was not convenient. The recent refurbishment possibly focussed on the decor (which was nice and quirky, in a kind of Victorian pub style) at the expense of practicality. Overall, I would recommend this hotel.

Lovely hotel with ample parking and nice gardens & patio … perfect buffet breakfast included in my £89 double room … different menu featured pheasant fettuccini & partridge skewers £6:15 a pint tho … really nice staff I made a mistake with my dates on line & they switched them for me hassle free on arrival

Booked this hotel at the last minute during a long drive home. Staff were very friendly throughout the stay, brand new hotel so everything was clean and spotless. Rooms were fitted out with comfortable bed and a good shower. Interior was finished to a high standard. Breakfast was very tasty too. I'll be back! Ripon is a lovely place to visit in the Yorkshire Dales with lots to see and do clsoe by.

Had a 2 night stay here in December. A great place to stay, very clean and well looked after. Food was amazing. The staff were all very polite and nothing was too much for them.

Beautifully decorated for Christmas. Room was warm, clean and very nice bathroom. The room did look onto the road which was noisy throughout the day and night.

Absolutely superb stay here. This hotel has recently been refurbished & it’s been done to the highest standard in keeping with the elegant style of the building. Excellent room, good bathroom, a great night sleep .

Room was clean and comfortable. Shower was effective and bathroom was spotless. Food was delicious and not to much to make you feel stuffed! There was a gap in the black out curtains at the top that let the light in. The hotel exterior lights were on all night, which is environmentally insensitive, as well as kept me up! Also the doors werent that soundproof, so when the revellers came thundering along at 2.40am, what little sleep i had managed to get was short lived! The restaurant felt more like being in a pub than in a hotel. We had to order at the till and the atmosphere felt like being in a pub... next door table were effing and jeffing, which made it uncomfortable, seeing as we had gone to an effort to get dressed up. Food was good, though!

Overnight stop. First time stay. Very nice hotel. Staff very helpful. Room a little on the small size and shower was a tight fit. Wi-Fi was a bit weak in the room. But overall we would definitely stay here again.

I have stayed at this hotel in its previous guise at Ripon Spa Hotel. It was run down and needed a major refurbishment, but staff were wonderful. Now, after being bought by The Inn Group, it has been refurbished, very nice decor, but the young staff are not 'interested' or bothered enough to assist clients. I watched them playing on their phones, whilst other guests were looking for help! Such a shame!

This was a lovely hotel in a very well located position, check in, check out all automated. So we didn’t actually see any staff. That was a little odd, but we didn’t need any additional assistance so worked for us.

The room was well-equipped, very clean and comfortable. The staff were generally very friendly, and breakfast was tasty. Our main disappointment was a blanket ‘no’ when we asked to check in half an hour early, with no apparent effort made to justify such a hasty refusal.This made our stay feel less personal overall, which was a shame when everything else was of the high standard you would expect from a hotel in this price range.

The property was beautiful. Checking in was disgraceful having to check in with a computer and having no one to do it for us when we got there we thought was terrible service. The staff came across like they couldn’t be bothered and everything was too much trouble. I asked for a dilute for my daughter, he offered me a fruit shoot so I said she’s doesn’t like them can I just have a dilute? He said well I can… it was uncomfortable and I felt this wasn’t a big ask. And he should not have given me a frosty reception! Lovely place terrible staff. There was one man there that helped us in the lift apart from that no one could be bothered!

Warm welcome on check in and lovely hospitality throughout our stay from everyone we encountered. Nice breakfast choices and good restaurant menu. Perfect location for the town itself and access to the surrounding area.

Very clean, all the staff were friendly even though it was very busy in the build up to new year. We ate at the restaurant and the food was great. Chose it mainly cos it was dog friendly but would certainty go back without the dogs, is a short walk into Ripon centre and there looked to be lots of nice bars and restaurants.

Warm welcome on check in and lovely hospitality throughout our stay from everyone we encountered. Nice breakfast choices and good restaurant menu. Perfect location for the town itself and access to the surrounding area.

The good: hotel and location. Bar was nice and food was good. Room was great. Bad; made everyone wait till 3 for check in which made a long wait and seemed disorganised. Hotel and bar was too hot, staff serving food was sweating. Breakfast was a shambles, no coffee, no cups , very little on hot plate and no one seemed to be in a hurry to restock, we did eat at 0930 and it finished at 10 but still very poor service

The hotel was lovely and on such a sunny day we really enjoyed the terrace and gardens. The food we had in the afternoon was delicious! However, the breakfast was not so good. Food items were stale even though we didn't go down particularly late. Was very disappointed with this part of the stay but the rest was great.

Hotel was excellent and staff were very friendly. Sadly the bar prices were extremely expensive. We always expect to pay more we staying away but Ripon inn bar prices way way too much.

I did not like the restaurant being part of the public bar area. We booked a table and when we arrived people were using our table as part of the drinking area and had to be moved. We could not enjoy our meal because of the noise and disruption you can expect from a public bar although the food and service were good. Dogs were also allowed in the restaurant/bar and we found that to be rather unhygienic and not what we have come to expect from properties recommended by Hotels.com

extremely comfortable and enjoyable. The staff were friendly and helpful, The only criticism would be the dinner which was not very hot and when reheated was dry. The breakfast wad tasty but once again not hot enough.

The evening meal had to be returned because it was of very poor quality. Staff agreed with my comments.Overall value for money was extremely poor in every area of our two night stay.We did not expect a pay as you go service as we were advised to book a table. The bathroom was extremely small and not user friendly. We did not at anytime feel that customer service was a priority to this business.

We stayed 2 nights to visit Ripon and the surrounding area. This hotel is FANTASTIC! . 5 mins walk from Ripon market square. Our stay could not have been better. The staff were really friendly but professional and the hotel decor is up to very high standard We had the amazing breakfast and ate there one evening and it was lovely and very reasonable food and wine prices. 10/10

Arrived at 2.10-was told that although our room was ready we couldn’t check in till 3 as the booking system did not allow it.Reception did not offer to hold our bags so we returned them to our car and waited.Paid a supplement for a dog friendly room;at previous hotels our dog would get his own bed,a bag of treats and sometimes a small toy-nothing was provided here. The room temperature overnight was ridiculously hot-couldn’t sleep.When we complained was told the heating system reacted to the outside air temperature so there was nothing that could be done. Evening meal food and breakfast was excellent-and serving staff were very dog friendly
