Great accomodation. Quite remote. Diesel Generator power and satellite internet. Gas station, groceries, restaurant. Fairly well priced considering how remote it is. No cellular coverage, like most of the rockies. I'd stay here again.

We rented one of the rooms for one night. The room was clean, and seemed recently updated. Everything worked in the room. Wifi was provided. It wasn’t super fast but being located in the mountains it was adequate. There was no air conditioning but there was heat. There are coin operated laundry and dryers. There is also coin operated vending machines with snacks and drinks. There is a small store that has a good variety of items. A small restaurant with good food, but can quickly get busy. The place was surprisingly fun. You have mini golf, a classic old style playground and a general oasis for both travelers and guests (I.e a old style gas pump and store) for a place in the middle of “nowhere” it’s a nice place to stay.

The resort itself is mediocre at best. The washrooms in the public area were disgusting. The womens bathroom was worse than any roadside gas station bathroom I have ever been in. The restaurant was ok nothing special but ok. The Cowboy Pub in the campground was cool. Great staff, good food, fun atmosphere, that was a highlight. Stayed in the motel. It was clean but the bed was uncomfortable. It was adequate and it was better than camping in the rain but not worth 300.00 in my opinion. There are no other hotel accommodations in the area and its high season so I'm not shocked or disappointed. Just leaving an honest review.

The place is pretty run down and badly needs up dates. However my biggest beef is that the place is supposed to be “pet friendly”. It is in the motel room, but the only restaurant on site (and for many miles) doesn’t allow dogs on the patio, so we had to eat our dinner on the bed. Meal was frozen triangle fish and chips. Restaurant closes at 7:30pm. Poor selection of food, and the power to the whole site was off in the morning, so no breakfast. The motel room was clean, but very basic and noisy. Bedding was really nice. The area is spectacular and worth the visit, but not a great place to stay for more than a stopover night.

This is a camp ground with a building that offers hotel style rooms. It is located close to a river but otherwise it is 20 miles from anything else. There is a gas station, grocery store and a restaurant on site, but be aware that all of them operated on limited hours. Otherwise it was a nice stay. Rooms are recently renovated and were reasonably nice. The building however seems to still be in the process of renovation.

This must have been a pretty fancy place a long time ago. I thought it was expensive for what it was, but I guess that is expected in a touristy area in August. We were a little bit disappointed as we had just driven 5 hours up hwy 40 with zero services, and when we arrived at the resort and got checked in, the restaurant was closed. There is a convenience store, but they did not have anything other than chips and pop! (there was mac and cheese, but no facilities to actually cook and eat that)... so our family ate chips and dip for dinner. We thought maybe if we at least bought a carton of milk, that might count as some sustenance, but there wasn't even milk! Perhaps we just came on the wrong day of the week. We would stay again for sure, but to camp next time - and come more prepared.

The restaurant closes at 6:30 and there’s not open even at eight in the morning when we left without breakfast they need to be open earlier and stay open later for breakfast for sure other than that it was a pleasurable stay

Location was great. However, the restaurant closed at 7pm. We were forced to buy "remaining food" from the convenience store with very very limited choices! The restaurant should be opened for at least 9pm considering the facility location.

Room was dirty also the bathroom , the bedding was also dirty and not ironed. It is very noisy with people walking past your door and the walls are very thin. There’s not a lot to see around here apart from a big lake. It was not worth the money they charged, Plus the kettle was dirty inside . If you’re not be fussy it’s okay to stay at this place.

First we got a room which had infestation of ants all over even on bed. Then we asked for a change and other room was better. If we reached late and no one in office then what we could do. They have to check rooms before giving it to someone.

The ambience was good. I observed that in my room only the towels were kept new, garbage were removed and the bed was made. The bathroom looked newly renovated but there was no cleaning of the surfaces or floors. The shower area and the bathroom sink was nasty and there was a stinky smell in the washroom. The heat wasn’t working properly.

Decent location for Abraham Lake but the rooms were not worth the cost. The beds are uncomfortable, there's no fan to make up for the lack of AC and the bathrooms have doors that connect you to the neighboring room and allow noise and light from the other room to invade your space.

Very unique and remote facility that offers a safe and comfortable place to stay as close to the middle part of the Park to allow you to explore more without the long drives. Keep in mind this location offers very little to no cell service and the wifi provided is weak to none so staying in touch to the outside world in the evenings is marginal and takes patients

Loved the resort and location. It was great having a restaurant on site and it didn't take advantage of the location by being really expensive. The only downside was not having air conditioning in the room. We had the window open but ended up having to close it due to road noise.

Rooms are newly renovated beds shower ect are all in good shape small fridge freezer was also handy. No AC makes for warm rooms at night with limited air flow. The thin doors between the connecting rooms create for noise to carry through I could see this be an issue for some. The setting in the mountains is pretty special and that alone bumps up its raining. The restaurant and staff were very friendly great service.

It's located in a quite stretch of hwy. Wifi isn't the best if room is located in the mid section of the long building. Our room wasn't serviced during a 2 days stay. First floor room has really thin ceiling,you can hear a pin drop from people above you.

Experience spoiled by difficult check-in experience. Total lack of welcome. Question 'where is our room please' Answer - vague point to 'over there'. Good that it had laundry machines, bad that some of them were out of order. Limited dining options at the one restaurant. Luckily we found a better option just up the road. Best part is that the resort is in the middle of beautiful landscape and lake

Unfortunately, there were other guests at this motel who loudly partied till past 11:30pm at which point I had to put in earplugs in order to sleep. Management did not respond to my messages asking them to do something about the noise. I see no reason to ever stay here again.

The location is perfect for visiting sites along the Hwy 11 corridor near Abraham Lake (reservoir). Our renovated room was clean and comfortable. We enjoyed our morning coffee taking in the mountain views from the deck over the office. We did not try the restaurant or use other services; we were there for hiking in the area at the end of June. Staff were friendly and quick to respond to requests.

The check in staff, one in particular , had an attitude. The cleaning staff were excellent and friendly. The bed was really firm but ok. The owner was Chinese and spent time talking with Chinese guests at breakfast but ignored other guests.

This little place in the middle of nowhere is the perfect spot to disconnect and appreciate nature and beauty. The views are outstanding and the peace and quiet is all worth it

Good accommodations off the beaten path. We enjoyed our stay. The accommodations were sufficient and enabled us to explore around the David Thompson area. Restaurant was basic and you pay a premium for the isolation. A frozen hamburger meal seemed pricey for what it was. So we ended up getting food elsewhere. Overall - good experience. Would return if I am specifically visiting that area.

The place is pretty run down and badly needs up dates. However my biggest beef is that the place is supposed to be “pet friendly”. It is in the motel room, but the only restaurant on site (and for many miles) doesn’t allow dogs on the patio, so we had to eat our dinner on the bed. Meal was frozen triangle fish and chips. Restaurant closes at 7:30pm. Poor selection of food, and the power to the whole site was off in the morning, so no breakfast. The motel room was clean, but very basic and noisy. Bedding was really nice. The area is spectacular and worth the visit, but not a great place to stay for more than a stopover night.

Stayed in a renovated room in the main lodge for two nights. The room exceeded expectations. The staff were amazing and the food was great at both the restaurant and the pub. It gets very quiet after 11pm, so great for sleeping. One hour absolutely spectacular drive to the Columbia Ice Fields.

The property was just as described, and check-in was easy. The restaurant was nice, and my wife and I enjoyed the tremendous service by a young lady from the French Alps who spent the summer taking care of customers. If you decide to stay, ask the employees how to get to the beach - it's a little bit of a hike down and back, but the views are well worth it!

Location was great. However, the restaurant closed at 7pm. We were forced to buy "remaining food" from the convenience store with very very limited choices! The restaurant should be opened for at least 9pm considering the facility location.

I had low expectations for this hotel and was still disappointed. I only booked here out of necessity since there are limited options in the area but room was terrible. Very dirty, mold all over in the shower, they advertised a “kitchen” but only got a mini fridge and coffee maker, no garbage can in the room, missing many of the usual amenities such as a blow drier or microwave, tv didn’t work, the list goes on. For $275 per night this is terribly disappointing
