Loved the pool. Great area to walk and the staff!

Loved this Inn. Beautiful, clean, spacious room and a huge bathroom. The only downside to this inn is the fact that they don't have an elevator that everyone can use. You must have an attendant to run it as it is a 1906 evelator with the pull close door and it needs a person who knows how to run it to stop it at just the right spot. And it's a super small elevator. 2 people with one bag each and the operator is all that can fit at a time. If you don't mind stairs then it's a GREAT place. We will stay again.

Charming historic venue with attractive, inviting public areas. Friendly, helpful staff and comfortable rooms. Centrally located with easy walk to restaurants and a small but nice park. Parking is easy and free.

A very old historic hotel. Has the oldest elevator in VT. Charming. Nice gardens. Guest can not use elevator and all rooms are upstairs. so if you have any mobility issues its a problem.

Unique, historic inn located in the center of town. Staff was very accommodating and pleasant. Beautiful, large rooms and there is an outdoor swimming pool which I definitely enjoyed!

This was the most adorable place to stay! We enjoyed the breakfast with the croissants and scones right out of the oven. The elevator was a must try! The staff was super friendly and helpful. The town was adorable even though we didn’t get time to explore.

Clean, quaint, quiet historical place in town. Must walk up stairs and no modern amenities, but it has a nice pool, as well as a cafe and bar. We would stay here again.

It was great. The owners were so friendly. There was no pool closing time which i appreciated. They were so chill about it. Very accommodating! I would stay there again in a heart beat! I love the history of it. Beautiful place inside and out. I will say the breakfast was OK. It could be improved a little bit. Maybe some pancakes/ waffles, scrambled eggs, toast, etc. The bagels were great. . Regardless, i go there again in a heart beat. So nice

The Brandon Inn was a quaint and quiet property. The room was a good combination of old and modern. The lobby area was reminiscent of an old hotel. The staff was great. But they need to alert people to the fact that all rooms are on upper floors and that the elevator needs to be operated by a staff person who is not always available before booking the room.

Charming historic hotel, a little worn around the edges. The bed was very comfortable. Nice pool and garden. Would stay here again.

It is unique older property. There is lots of space inside & outside to relax. Staff is very friendly & helpful. Our room was very clean & comfortable. There was a free continental breakfast (if you are a big breakfast eater, this will not fill you up). There are many good restaurants within walking distance of the hotel. The only thing lacking was a small refrigerator in our room or easy access to an ice machine. I would definitely stay here again.

Staff was nice and the hotel was really interesting. Everything was clean and the beds were comfortable.

It's historic and has old-timey charm, but it's kind of run-down. Not super clean, either. The bed was very firm, not comfortable for me. Breakfast was minimal. Bar live music was not my scene. Staff were friendly and helpful. The place just needs some focused TLC.

The room and inn were nice, mostly clean except for a bathroom shelf. It’s what you’d expect from an old building - creaky floors, etc. The beds were comfortable and it is in a great location. Breakfast was disappointing. There wasn’t anything hot and options were limited, even for a continental breakfast. But they did have hard-boiled eggs and deli meat and cheese, so it wasn’t just breads.

It's a charming, classic old inn, that, despite its age, is well maintained and clean. It's centrally located in Brandon, in a quiet, safe, walkable neighborhood and near all the major restaurants in town. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

Staff was courteous. They found is another room. Unfortunately it was a King with a double bed. Had to adjust sleeping arrangements which was not comfortable. Room was cleaner. Bathroom mirror was streaky. Large wedding that evening of our stay. Didn’t use pool. Continental breakfast was okay. Many flies around. Marked parking spots limited. Confusing once full. Not worth the price tag of $280.28. Wasn’t like it appeared on website.

The Brandon Inn is a beautiful, historic building, however, there was many upgrades that need to happen to make it a worthwhile stay. The bedding was stained, the bathtub paint was chipping off, the shower curtain support was missing, making the rod no stable at all. The room I had, had no heat source other than a very old space heater, that I didn’t feel comfortable running at nighttime. In addition, the mattress was very uncomfortable. The room seemed fairly clean, except it clearly hadn’t been dusted in a while, and the bedding stains were displeasing. I was also off put by the fact that there wasn’t staff there, and the exterior doors were all left unsecured all night. Luckily the rooms themselves had punch coded dead bolts, but it was still a bit odd.

The Brandon Inn is a beautiful well preserved historic inn. A very friendly host and hostess purchased the inn a few years ago , and they have done an amazing job with keeping many of the original characters of the inn , while keeping it beautiful and comfortable . I can not wait to see the continued improvements they have planned . Their breakfast could offer a few hot items like bacon , and scrambled eggs . especially being how they have a kitchen . The beds are on the newer side but are extremely firm .I spoke with one of the owners and suggested a mattress topper that is like a pillow top. My back had a real difficult time with the very firm bed .They aim to please so I sure they will address the concern . There was not much to do in the immediate area's at night , everything closes very early . Some activities like trivia, or bingo would be fun . The pub had a nice menu but really needs to add a chicken dish or a burger to the menu . What we did have was delicious but could only find something for the one evening , and we would have liked to eat nightly at the inn for the convenience. These are minor concerns , that I am sure will grow as the new owners continue to do their beautiful updates. We hope to return soon and would recommend the Brandon inn !!

This was a nice “boutique” style hotel, very basic rooms, but comfortable bedding. No TV (that didn’t bother me though), however the showers are quite small and wifi could be improved to provide a reliable signal.

Spent 2 nights, room was never cleaned, beds were old and very uncomfortable, noises from pipes in walls. This is a 200 year old hotel, which could have been more comfortable.

The Brandon inn is charming and rooms are spacious with high ceilings. Very clean and has historic charm. Also it is a great value and Brandon is a quaint Vermont town with a couple breweries and restaurants. Highly recommend!

Dated but cute. 3 flights of stairs to get to our room was not our favorite but room was large and comfortable. Pillows were stiff as boards. If we were there more than one night i would have asked to swap pillows. Town is adorable. I would stay again if in the area.

I loved the historic inn. The room was huge and comfortable. I loved how the inn and room was decorated. It took a little while to get hot water to the 3rd floor. I wish the cafe opened at 7 A.M. we ended up going next door to a diner because they were open early.

The property is lovely and clean. Our room was large, but was disappointed there was no TV available in the room or in the downstairs lounge area. Weak/ slow phone usage in the room. No comfortable place in the room to read other than in bed.

The overall stay was great, as was the staff. However the room was very small for the price and it didn't even have a fridge. Also, I was on the 4th floor and there's only one elevator and it is staff operated only, so if you want to be lazy and use it, or use it for your luggage, first you have to go find someone to even operate it for you. Other than that, it's a very nice place. I was there on Wednesday night and was fortunate enough to enjoy a swim while listening to the live music on the other side of the fence, I found it to be quite relaxing.

Staff was nice and the hotel was really interesting. Everything was clean and the beds were comfortable.

A boy in the room above us left a tub running and overflowing. We woke up at midnight to water dripping through the ceiling. The staff was immediately available and handled the situation quickly and in a friendly manner. They did the right thing and offered us a discounted rate for our stay. The inn is located within walking distance to a grocery store and restaurants. Cute small town. Convenient location between Killington Resort and Middlebury Snowbowl.

Manager was excellent... She was very accessible and helpful. The hotel has great charm and the town is very friendly. Be mindful that the floors are thin. I heard everything from the room above me. Try to get a top floor room if possible to avoid this.

A historic gem that was very beautiful, clean, and quiet. The staff was always cheerful, friendly, and helpful. We were impressed with the staff that was attentive and anticipated our need for help negotiating check out with our luggage on the 4th floor. Easy walks to great restaurants, shops, and park. Would highly recommend the Brandon Inn for a great place to spend time in a gorgeous piece of New England.

I saw virtually no one during my stay except at breakfast this morning (the clean up person at the end). I did say hello to the cleaning woman. It would have been nice to receive a welcome from someone. There was never anyone at the front desk.

A beautiful and historic hotel. Very well kept. Staff was lovely. Located on a little strip with other cute places to eat and a walgreens across the street for practical goods. Only thing is (and this is not necessarily a criticism). That while they do have staff around, they don't have a dedicated front desk person. Also to note, that they have a very cool old crank elevator that has to be operated by staff, and if the staff isn't around you have to call a number to have someone come. No other way to get to the upper floors unless you want to take the stairs. All this is clearly communicated in the welcome email sent in the previous days to our stay, but I know some people don't bother reading those things in detail. Also, I did try and call the hotel a few times to ask questions about early check in, and use of the pool before check in, and I never got a hold of a live person. That was a little frustrating. The breakfast buffet is held in this gorgeous sun room with lots of light. What was offered was a ok variety of breads/muffins/croissants, fruit and milk, cereal, yogurt and some fruits. But no hot foods like bacon, sausage, eggs, pancakes or anything like that. And there were no visible offerings of non-dairy milk and yogurt (but we also didn't ask). They did have some hard boiled eggs which were delicious. We attended a wedding in neighboring Middlebury, in another historic type hotel...and hands down we thought our Brandon Inn hotel was the best!

We had a fantastic stay. The staff was kind, going out of their way to get us hot water, and make suggestions to the local area.

It is a quaint old inn with lots of charm, right in the center of a little town. Check in on my phone was quick and easy. The pool was open late, so my teens were able to enjoy it. Continental breakfast had plenty of fresh options.

Very quaint place to stay for a ski weekend in Vermont. Nearby to restaurant Cafe Provence, which was excellent.

The property is first class and one of the best hotels I’ve stayed at. Comfortable bed, friendly staff. The breakfast was fabulous little bit European.

This was a super convenient and comfortable place to stay. They has fresh fruit and good pastries out there for breakfast. There's a grocery store nearby. This is a great little place to stay.

Very good overall. Little disappointed that the "free breakfast" was actually a "grab and go" breakfast. However, the diner just a few doors away and good food and a friendly environment

Have stayed here several times now and it’s a nice change from national chains. Creaking wood floors, big old rooms, great history. Breakfast is awesome with fresh fruit and yogurt fantastic coffee and warm fresh made croissants and scones

Very pretty old inn, great location. The rooms are large but quite basic. They just installed heat pumps which is good, because my room was about 45F when I checked in. They seemed a bit understaffed- I saw two people my entire stay, but they were pleasant. The breakfast was very average- cold food, toaster, coffee. For some reason they kept the jam in the refrigerator so it was a little jam brick. Overall it was a decent stay in a good location.

The Inn was quirk, charming and cute. If you’re looking for “new” this is not the place for you. We really enjoyed our stay. My only two issues: 1. Staff was not easily accessible, most of the time the front desk was empty; and 2. The breakfast needs some more options.
