Easily parked in large car park 5mins away, £20 for 24hrs. We were able to check in early but if couldn’t we would have had to leave luggage in the car as there is nowhere to leave it as it’s an unmanned property. Had one minor issue as my email with the key code didn’t come through, I rang the emergency number on the door and all sorted within a minute, excellent response. Stayed in Sterling, bed was super comfy, lovely view, all very clean. Coffee & water is provided in mini fridge and breakfast served in the room ( no condiments with breakfast). Would stay again 👍

As other reviews say this hotel is ideally located in the centre of the village with most rooms, including ours, overlooking the river. Ours (Sterling) was spacious and well appointed with a large bathroom & a large comfortable bed. What other reviews might not tell you is; * There is a chip shop on the ground floor * all breakfasts are delivered to your room at half hour slots of your choice. * There are no staff at the hotel (keys access from key safes) * Bourton can get extremely busy ,especially on sunny weekends ,and you almost certainly wont be able to park close to the hotel However none of this is really a problem (though we had to ring the contact as our key safe number hadn't been emailed to us). The chip shop doesn't stay open late & doesn't smell. The breakfasts were always delivered on time & were delicious. There's a pay car park just on the edge of the village about 10 minutes walk away. The crowds go home in the evening!

Lovely rooms and location We had a nice visit to area - however it was sold as a hotel- it not - not advised until late by email how to access facility, no reception desk, parking a 7 min walk in the rain away, not visible from road, no lighting on stairs on exit made it unsafe

Nice 2 bedroom suite, pitched as ‘luxury’ but slightly tatty in a few places, still clean and nice and had everything we needed. Great location, no parking. No reception but easy check in if you read the instructions! We didn’t get the emailed instructions but sorted quickly over the phone. Cooked breakfast delivered to door.

Very comfortable accommodation though it can be a bit too hot at night and not all the windows can be held open. Good service and breakfast. A very convenient village location but parking within walking distance will cost. One of the phone contact details seems to be incorrectin the information guides.

Fantastic location, but should have been more transparent in the listing. The location could not be more central. It was right in the middle of the village, and despite no onsite parking, there were convenient options nearby. The Yen suite is comically tiny. Like, really, really tiny. We only really found out when the check in instructions arrived. They could have been transparent from the start, or even marketed the room as the “tiniest suite” and the perception may have been different. The other thing, the room was about 28-30 deg C. at night. Only a small fan, and a window that only opened a crack, and no cross breeze. It was unbearably hot. The room condition was just “okay”. Lots of scuffs and scratches on the walls where people struggled to wedge their suitcase between the wall and bed. The shower was small enough that a “generously proportioned” guest might not fit. The good part: the check in was smooth, the location could NOT BE BETTER, and the breakfast was exceptional.

You cant beat the location, but, thats about it. Its not the boutique hotel it represents itself as. The amount of scuff marks on the walls was more like a well used train station or a paediatric waiting room not renovated since the 70s. Two sinks, one plug didnt unplug, the other was missing. No parking and nearest parking is 5 minute walk away, not the 2 minutes the hotel says. That may not seem like a lot, but its not honest to lie like that. Parking costs £20 a day, so factor that in. wifi disconnects you approx eight times a day. Smart TV never connects to internet and so not smart, no netflix or youtube etc. Breakfast was delivered to the room on time and warm each day. So in conclusion, the location is great, but the property upkeep is worse than you would see in a hotel you rent by the hour...

Whilst the exterior of the building looked lovely, and the location was great, when we got inside it was a different story. We should have known what the room would be like based on the corridors - there were chunks missing out of the walls. When we opened the door to the room it was not what we had booked. We’d booked ‘luxury’ accommodation. Instead we got a dirty room with towels older than me, coffee (I hope!) stains everywhere including up the walls, grimy surfaces and again chunks missing out of the walls. Very very poorly maintained and in no way luxury. We didn’t spend the night here - we found a lovely hotel a 5 minute walk away and had a great time in Bourton. But I would not recommend Old Bank Rooms in a million years.

Really nice and easy place to stay. Beautiful and clean. Only thing was the main spotlights in the bedroom only had 1 working and there was no bath mat and only 2 towels so would have liked more.

Where to begin…the entire experience went from bad to worse. To start, the room was not ready when we went to check in at the advertised check in time. After being promised that it would only be another 5 minutes, we waited an additional 30 minutes to get in to a room that was in terrible shape. Large stains on the bed and sheets. Stains on the side table and chairs. Massive black scuff marks on the walls. A spider made its home in the (obviously uncleaned) bathtub. The shower and sink barely drained to the point of not being functional. And on top of all that, the basic security amenities of a security lock on the door was painfully absent and when we attempted to contact the facility manager, we were ghosted all weekend. If this room was one third of the cost, I would say it is overpriced.

Centrally located,wonderful view of the river.Toiletries were lovely,bed comfortable.We were pre warned that the room was small,this was not a problem.Really recommend that some bedside lamps are installed,the overhead lights were way too bright.Also the bathroom bin had the previous occupant’s rubbish in .

Stairs/hallway leading the room are all scratched and dirty. The rooms are just as run down as the stairs/hallway. Massive black marks on the wall. Towels were white but are now grey as they were old, poor quality and rough to dry yourself on. Bath robes i did not touch as they were also dirty looking and rough. Carpets were dirty. Photos showed coffee machine and pods but that wasn't there anymore. Breakfast was below average, sausage was more like a fried hotdog. No salt, pepper or sauces provided. I don't ever complain, but on this occasion i feel i need to as i paid £230 for this room which was described as luxury. It really isn't, it so run down it resembles the quality you'd imagine in a hostel. Im sure it was luxury 10 years ago, but £230 i paid for 1 night is not justified just for its central location, which was the only positive I was embarrassed as this was a surprise for a 40th birthday. I was embarrassed as it looked like id got the room cheap. But I paid luxury prices for a run down room with dirty rough towels etc

Location and views over the river and Bourton 10/10, good sized suite and a huge bathroom, with rolltop bath and separate shower, twin sinks(stayed in The Euro suite). Superking bed, very comfortable, fridge in the room, all key facilities provided, check in a simple process. Breakfast ordered the night before and delivered to your room at the requested time, good selection, good quality. If you’re being really picky the room could do with some age related wear and tear decorating touching up, deep clean the soft seats and carpet stains. Overall a good stay in a decent property with incredible views, in an incredible location which is why you pay a premium price. Just lower your expectations around the decor/finish it’s not the Ritz and doesn’t pretend to be.(Your paying for the location).

There's everything you need for a comfortable stay, comfy bed, nice bathroom brilliant service. Breakfast served in your room is unique. There's just a couple of niggles for me, like the shower leaks onto the floor and the curtains could fit better. Staying on the high street does have its noises to contend with especially if the windows are open. Other than that we had a great stay.

We stayed in the yen suite which was very small, also a tiny shower and bathroom. Ok for one night. Excellent location and breakfast was lovely, just awkward to eat as no table and chairs like other rooms due to the size.

The room was tiny, had to walk sideways past the end of the bed. I'm 6ft 3 and struggled to move in the shower. Room really needs a freshen up, shower leaked in corner, god knows where that was running to. Breakfast was superb, Staff were really helpful and friendly also

Stayed in the Yen room for one night, I thought it might be small, but that's an understatement. The Yen room is tiny - just big enough for the bed and don't get me started on the ensuite. If you can get in the shower, you wont have room to turn around, I have never seen one so compact. Would be better made into a wet room. The radiator wouldn't switch off/down so it was very hot, but at least the window opens. Nice view. Could do with a new paint job to the room, probably because you do have to squeeze around the bed. I believe this was the smallest room and appears to be about the size of the other room's ensuites, so for a more comfortable stay I would recommend a different room. Would I stay here again? Yes, but not this room and only if the radiators can be turned off. Breakfast alright and Yen just about okay for 1 night. Great location. Parking is in a public car park, but fine at this time of year.

Fantastic location, but should have been more transparent in the listing. The location could not be more central. It was right in the middle of the village, and despite no onsite parking, there were convenient options nearby. The Yen suite is comically tiny. Like, really, really tiny. We only really found out when the check in instructions arrived. They could have been transparent from the start, or even marketed the room as the “tiniest suite” and the perception may have been different. The other thing, the room was about 28-30 deg C. at night. Only a small fan, and a window that only opened a crack, and no cross breeze. It was unbearably hot. The room condition was just “okay”. Lots of scuffs and scratches on the walls where people struggled to wedge their suitcase between the wall and bed. The shower was small enough that a “generously proportioned” guest might not fit. The good part: the check in was smooth, the location could NOT BE BETTER, and the breakfast was exceptional.

You cant beat the location, but, thats about it. Its not the boutique hotel it represents itself as. The amount of scuff marks on the walls was more like a well used train station or a paediatric waiting room not renovated since the 70s. Two sinks, one plug didnt unplug, the other was missing. No parking and nearest parking is 5 minute walk away, not the 2 minutes the hotel says. That may not seem like a lot, but its not honest to lie like that. Parking costs £20 a day, so factor that in. wifi disconnects you approx eight times a day. Smart TV never connects to internet and so not smart, no netflix or youtube etc. Breakfast was delivered to the room on time and warm each day. So in conclusion, the location is great, but the property upkeep is worse than you would see in a hotel you rent by the hour...

The directions for check in where great. It would have been confusing if there were no communication. Luckily everything was good, so pay attention to the emails. It was in a great spot, on the street and area where everything was happening, but quiet at night. Customer service from the owners was great, they were very resonsive, and breakfast was a nice bonus

Easily parked in large car park 5mins away, £20 for 24hrs. We were able to check in early but if couldn’t we would have had to leave luggage in the car as there is nowhere to leave it as it’s an unmanned property. Had one minor issue as my email with the key code didn’t come through, I rang the emergency number on the door and all sorted within a minute, excellent response. Stayed in Sterling, bed was super comfy, lovely view, all very clean. Coffee & water is provided in mini fridge and breakfast served in the room ( no condiments with breakfast). Would stay again 👍

Where to begin…the entire experience went from bad to worse. To start, the room was not ready when we went to check in at the advertised check in time. After being promised that it would only be another 5 minutes, we waited an additional 30 minutes to get in to a room that was in terrible shape. Large stains on the bed and sheets. Stains on the side table and chairs. Massive black scuff marks on the walls. A spider made its home in the (obviously uncleaned) bathtub. The shower and sink barely drained to the point of not being functional. And on top of all that, the basic security amenities of a security lock on the door was painfully absent and when we attempted to contact the facility manager, we were ghosted all weekend. If this room was one third of the cost, I would say it is overpriced.

We loved this little inn. The family suite was perfect for 4 people, we had a beautiful view of the lovely town. Breakfast of our choice delivered daily was wonderful. They even accommodated gluten free for one of our children. Angelheart helped us with a cot one evening for an extra guest and he was so kind. We would stay here again if we ever visit the Cotswolds in the future.

Had few problems getting the code to get into room and took a little while and a few phone calls to sort out . Room was fine and lovely breakfast. I was in yen room and the shower is very small and the shower fittings are worn so you need to hold the hand held to use but as it’s a very small cubicle it isn’t easy . Obviously this is a minor issue as is when leaving I couldn’t put the keys back in the safe box as it wouldn’t open again. It’s only a few little minor things that I’m sure will get put right in due course.

Nice 2 bedroom suite, pitched as ‘luxury’ but slightly tatty in a few places, still clean and nice and had everything we needed. Great location, no parking. No reception but easy check in if you read the instructions! We didn’t get the emailed instructions but sorted quickly over the phone. Cooked breakfast delivered to door.

Very comfortable accommodation though it can be a bit too hot at night and not all the windows can be held open. Good service and breakfast. A very convenient village location but parking within walking distance will cost. One of the phone contact details seems to be incorrectin the information guides.

Booked very last min, arrived an hour later, friendly host on the phone helped us get in as was late. Yes it’s above a chip shop but no smell or anything. Really lovely / clean comfortable room. Ample tea and coffee - very welcome!!! Beautiful view of the river with chairs to sit on in front of the window just to watch the world go by and my friend was in heaven with the free standing bath in a lovely bathroom . Definately recommend . 👍

This was a really nice place in a great location. It is right off the Square in Burton on the water which is a lively place during the daylight hours, but then is quiet at night. There is a lovely park with ariver running through the middle of town. All the tourist shopping and mailing about along with locals with their dogs. It is really a lovely safe city feel. They bring breakfast to your room in the morning from the fish and chip shop below. The breakfast was excellent! What a great place to stay.

Absolutely unbeatable location, right on the beautiful high street opposite the river. The suite was lovely and had everything we needed. Comfortable beds and superb breakfast delivered to the room. Room could do with some light maintenance it nothing major. Would definitely stay again.

The location was perfect for morning strolls. The square around the hotel gets very busy during the day, but night and morning slowed down quite a bit. Very nice to get up and wander in the morning without the crowds.

Location and views over the river and Bourton 10/10, good sized suite and a huge bathroom, with rolltop bath and separate shower, twin sinks(stayed in The Euro suite). Superking bed, very comfortable, fridge in the room, all key facilities provided, check in a simple process. Breakfast ordered the night before and delivered to your room at the requested time, good selection, good quality. If you’re being really picky the room could do with some age related wear and tear decorating touching up, deep clean the soft seats and carpet stains. Overall a good stay in a decent property with incredible views, in an incredible location which is why you pay a premium price. Just lower your expectations around the decor/finish it’s not the Ritz and doesn’t pretend to be.(Your paying for the location).

Lovely clean room! The room was ready before the time stated which was great. It was a little bit noisy as it's joint in with the chip shop but that doesn’t go on till late. Amazing how they offer breakfast delivered to your rooms which was incredible. We had a lovely stay and will definitely be back if we are in the area. Thank you!

Stairs/hallway leading the room are all scratched and dirty. The rooms are just as run down as the stairs/hallway. Massive black marks on the wall. Towels were white but are now grey as they were old, poor quality and rough to dry yourself on. Bath robes i did not touch as they were also dirty looking and rough. Carpets were dirty. Photos showed coffee machine and pods but that wasn't there anymore. Breakfast was below average, sausage was more like a fried hotdog. No salt, pepper or sauces provided. I don't ever complain, but on this occasion i feel i need to as i paid £230 for this room which was described as luxury. It really isn't, it so run down it resembles the quality you'd imagine in a hostel. Im sure it was luxury 10 years ago, but £230 i paid for 1 night is not justified just for its central location, which was the only positive I was embarrassed as this was a surprise for a 40th birthday. I was embarrassed as it looked like id got the room cheap. But I paid luxury prices for a run down room with dirty rough towels etc
Stairs/hallway leading the room are all scratched and dirty. The rooms are just as run down as the stairs/hallway. Massive black marks on the wall. Towels were white but are now grey as they were old, poor quality and rough to dry yourself on. Bath robes i did not touch as they were also dirty looking and rough. Carpets were dirty. Photos showed coffee machine and pods but that wasn't there anymore. Breakfast was below average, sausage was more like a fried hotdog. No salt, pepper or sauces provided. Very nice room. Breakfast delivered to the room. Great location. Parking and being right on main road (noise) only downfall. We did park just down the road after 6pm and were out before the 90 minute mark.

My 3 daughters and I loved our Dirham Suite because of the gorgeous view, lovely sitting area, comfy beds, spaciousness, and perfect location in town. Complimentary room service breakfast was an added bonus. Check-in was done completely online before arrival, and instructions were emailed to me a couple days before, so it was simple enough. The only negatives that might cause someone to hesitate in staying here are that there is no on-site parking and no elevators for easily transporting luggage up the flights of stairs. Don’t let that sway you away though. It is a beautiful spot, and paid parking can be found nearby. We did have one issue while staying: The morning we were to check out, we woke up with no running water in our bathroom. This meant we couldn’t wash, brush teeth, shower, or flush toilets. We found a phone number online, since there is not a front desk on-site. The gentleman we spoke to was friendly and apologetic and said that maintenance would come check on things. An hour later, we hadn’t heard from anyone, and we had to get on the road so we just left. Overall, though, that didn’t mar our experience, and we would recommend this place to anyone staying in the Cotswolds.

Lovely large room , huge bathroom , extra large comfy bed , breakfast delivered to room - great friendly staff , the only downside is that it doesn’t have its own parking however there is a car park about a 5 minute walk away . I will definitely be staying there again when I’m in the area
