This a a brief one night stay but we will definitely be back in the future. Pool was great. Knowing that bikes & kayaks are available is a plus. Room was clean & quiet.

2nd time staying at this property . Our room was clean , definitley in need of an update . We stayed on the 3rd floor and the elevator from parking to 3rd floor was broken . 1/2 the staff we talked to were great , the other 1/2 not to friendly at all. The location is beautiful and Snappers restaraunt bar right next door .Breakfast is sufficient to get your day started . I do recommend this property , they just need a little more bling in their delivery .

The studio room and ocean view was very nice. Staff very friendly, but if they charge daily resort fees the facilities should work. No balls for ping pong, the pool to cold to swim in, the hot tub didn't work, the seats on the kayaks were broken so couldn't be used and the corn hole box was broken. Not sure what we were paing for. Theu need to spend some money and upgrade the facilities

Resort under renovation, parking is awful, there is lots of debris in parking lot. Room was nice but bathroom needs a complete renovation.

Pool and hot tub are open 24 hours, very quiet and walkable to Snappers. Would definitely rebook

This property is far from a resort. First experience was the room had a high chemical smell upon entering. Had to open all doors to air out. Second experience when we went to sign out towels at the front desk local health department was there telling us not to use the pool or the spa and that they were closing it to do unsafe conditions. Sent message to management expressing dissatisfaction no responseOutside electrical boxes opened and exposed wiring, bags over main electrical boxes outside of building abandoned, derelict boat tied up to dock adjacent to pool area. Room is extremely dated. Screen and porch door, broken and rotted. Screens with holes. Furniture extremely dated and damaged with water rings on nightstand. clearly overpriced, especially since they advertised over Ocean view room it is partial ocean view. Mostly blocked by vegetation. Very disappointed.

The property is wonderful. Conventional breakfast was nice - waffles, Danish, fresh fruit, coffee. Only drawback is the parking - not enough spaces

The room was spacious and comfortable. We enjoyed the screened porch attached to the room. Amenities were enjoyed especially the pool, hot tub, kayaks and assorted games. It was nice having a restaurant/bar next door but it was loud at times. Breakfast was carb loaded so additional protein source(s) would have been nice. The building itself was dated and undergoing some renovation but no work being done during our stay.

The pool and hot tub were not heated and the hot tub jets did not work, huge disappointment for my kids.

Its a shame because it's so dirty that it makes it hard to enjoy anything else. Roaches, dirty floors and sheets.

This place was a total disappointment. We did not even end up staying. From the beginning I had called with a few questions, no one would answer. I left a message twice and when they finally did call back, they could not give me any straight answers and then HUNGUP on me. Upon arrival, the sign is hard to see and the place just looks rundown. As we were walking up the steps to the lobby there was a large dead bird on the staircase. As I walked through the eating area to check in I couldn\'t help but notice how dark and dingey it was, the buffet area was covered in crumbs and debris, the windows were fogged over with who knows what, and then dirty rags and a large open bowl of water I\'m assuming from breakfast was sitting out. We didn\'t arrive until 5 hours after their breakfast service would have ended and it was STILL not cleaned up. The check in area is also a mess, not how you want to be greeted for a stay at a "resort". We had requested a late checkout but was told it would not be approved until the day of check out because they wouldn\'t know what was going on until then. As if there is no system in place with reservations? It got worse when we went to look at the room, it was FILTHY and it smelled awful. The corners on the floor were caked with dirt, we left immediately. Still waiting for the refund as a Manager was not available when we dropped the key back to the desk 10 minutes after arriving. Expedia has been unhelpful as well with trying to get my money back.

Such a shame! I’ve stayed at this place two other times. I obviously went back because I enjoyed it, but after this last stay, I will not be back. It was very dirty, run down, broken items in the room. My suitcase became infested with 40 giant black ants that were coming in the room from under the baseboards ( no food in my suitcase). There were ants in the cereal in the morning and all over the counter. The staff left them there and didn’t bother to wipe them up or replace the cereal. The staff was very unfriendly and we felt like our presence was a burden to them. Not a hello or a good morning or acknowledgement of our presence in the breakfast room the entire stay. The ping pong table had an inch of dirt on it. The knob for the hot tub was broken, so the jets wouldn’t work. The breakfast was not stocked and replenished like it had been in the past. It’s really a shame, because they have a beautiful location. There is so much potential, however they are obviously going through some rough times with poor management.

Tired, tatty, dated and unloved. Very shabby. Absolutely not worth the money we spent. Very poor value for money compared to our other hotels on the Keys. Carpets and furniture in a terrible state. Bathroom very dated and awful smell. Outside, awful smell, no beach access.

Under construction. Room has construction dust in it. Rust, dust, dirty walls and stained furniture. There is an air freshener in the room that is overpowering. Not impressed

I would NOT recommend staying here. We had no hot water the entire stay, only lukewarm water. They advertise that you get a discount at snappers, we were unable to get a discount. The ice machine was broke the entire stay. The room was dirty and to top it off we had a huge COCKROACH in our room when we came back one night.

Staff very friendly. Had a room with a balcony and a great view. Room was very clean.

Great stay overall. The check in was easy, room perfect with awesome view of the ocean, and property well maintained. Great value. Highly recommend.

Great pricing..spotless and well equipped rooms

I did like the layout of the room we had with the screened in porch. Very unique with a big closet and comfortable bed. I loved the outdoor area with views of the water and places to sit in the sun or a hammock by the trees. The breakfast area was nice and you could sit out on the balcony and watch the sun glisten on the water while drinking coffee. We had problems with the elevator working and we saw older couples who really shouldn’t be doing the stairs. They needed the elevator but it wasn’t working. Also, when I sat at the table, I could look at the toaster and see a pile of breadcrumbs underneath it. Dot it needed to be cleaned. in our room, our shower had mildew spots in it, the living room couch smelled like urine, and the floor was slippery/sticky. It’s definitely an older property and needs to be kept up a little better. As far as the staff goes, one lady was very cheerful and helpful, and went above and beyond to meet our needs, but there was another set of workers that were on the rude side. Right next-door is a very good restaurant called snappers and we ate there a couple of the nights of our stay and we really enjoyed our meals!

The location on the water was beautiful but I was disappointed in the property. The rooms were clean but dated. We had a door adjoining us to another unit where there was another family that were extremely noisy until almost midnight. The sound thru the door was very disturbing. The room needed updating and the building trim needed paint and the pool walls needed a good scrubbing. Sub par for a Wyndham property at the high nightly rates.

The property is old and dated, it rained and water came in under the door making the floor really wet and slick. The property did not have a sign out front so hard to find. Office on the second floor again hard to find. There was only one luggage cart so if someone did not return to base of elevator you had to go looking for it. High priced for basically a hotel room. Booked ocean view- well if you opened the blinds and stood at the right angle technically you could see the ocean but it was a view of the docks in an alcove so not as advertised. Fire way WS muddy and full of pot holes again it is a construction zone. We would not go back.

The rooms need to be updated. Refrigerator was very cold but the hole it was placed in was larger than the refrigerator. Requested a view of the ocean. Got that but only if you were standing to look out the window. Staff was very friendly. The grounds were very pretty and the pool was nice. Thought we were charged too much for the room after seeing it.

We were a family of four with two parents and two kids. We stayed in a king suite. There was plenty of space for everyone.

Overall It was a good stay for a night or two. It was an easy drive from Miami. The hotel was relatively clean and in good condition. Serious mold on the AC unit and wall vents however need attention. The breakfast was good and plentiful. The hotel was relaxing and check in good. I would warn several of the suite rooms view the elevator, nothing more. I would not have been pleased at all with that. The bar across the water has nightly bands. It's nice to sit on your balcony with your own cocktail and enjoy the music. It's pretty loud but they end at 10pm. The pool is open all hours. Was nice to be in the Jacuzzi and listen. They give you a discount coupon for the nextdoor restaurant for food but their prices are very high (more than we found in the keys and sunset view bars). Floors are thin. The people above us woke us up several times from heavy walking around and we had the motor to the elevator outside our room that was very loud at night The resort fee is a joke and the state really needs to outlaw these fees. They bikes are completely rusted, kayaks where very dirty and we had to ask for a beach towel to use by the pool, and they only had one. I would stay here just be aware of the few oddities. Looks like Wyndham my have recently bought them and are making some changes. But not sure.

It was nice stay for two nights, but a couple things, Reserved an ocean view room did not get and asked for manager to contact me and did not hear back. Band at the restaurant next door plays until 10 pm. Some may enjoy. Lots of pelicans fishing to watch in the cove.

They were embarrassed that it happened and reimbursed our resort fees for the trouble. They had workers in there the next day fixing the mold problem. Great staff, great restaurant next door, and great little breakfast included. Very comfortable beds and pillows as well. This is an older property, so don’t expect the Marriot. I was surprised how quiet it was for being an older property. I would consider staying here again.

The promotional photos were misleading, portraying a polished and modern property, but the reality was a dated resort needing maintenance. The accommodations were subpar, with an uncomfortable spring bed and no option for extra bedding, making it unsuitable for families. Cleanliness issues, such as worn linens and dusty surfaces, added to the discomfort. The staff’s lack of support was another major letdown. Requests for simple services like additional towels or local recommendations were met with disinterest, leaving us feeling undervalued as guests. Facilities such as the pool were poorly maintained, and the unreliable Wi-Fi compounded the frustration. Considering the high cost, the experience failed to provide value for money. Dove Creek Resort has potential but requires significant improvements, including updated accommodations, better staff training, accurate marketing, and enhanced amenities. Until these issues are addressed, it’s hard to recommend this property to travelers seeking a memorable and enjoyable stay in Key Largo.

The air conditioning in the unit was really bad, made for an uncomfortable stay.

This place was great! The room was huge, like an apartment with a sitting room and a huge bedroom with a big king-size bed with regular bedroom furniture. It had a screened in porch with chairs and a table with a great view. The hotel had a nice pool and hot tub and a sandy area with hammocks. The breakfast was great and they offered the free use of kayaks, bikes, ping pong and corn hole. There's a great restaurant next door with outside seating and good food.

Nice clean hotel. Lobby and check in is from 7am to 7pm. Hotel hidden in cove with no signage, so youll need GPS to find. A bit disturbing the number of times they needed and collected my drivers license and credit card info.

We booked this hotel at 6:19 PM and I read the verification email at 7:02 PM. It says on the site that you can check in all day but there’s a sidenote that says if you’re going to be past 7 PM that you need to call the hotel. I called them at 7:02 when I read the email and they did not answer and I left a message. They returned the call the next day at noon. When we arrived at 7:20, there was no one to be found anywhere. We were unable to even check into the hotel. Fortunately, Expedia is amazing and they refunded my money along with giving me an additional $50 to compensate for the inconvenience. Do not stay at this place. It smells really bad and from what we could see it was filthy. The breakfast room was pathetic and not even a real room. I guess they did us a favor, by not being staffed to check us in.

Soo much potential but execution was poor. I really appreciate the Latina receptionist who wears one too many hats, wish I would’ve remembered her name. She made the experience so much better due to her professionalism and kindness. There is no staff after 7pm and the after hours emergency number was not being answered during our stay. The A/C in the living room didn’t work in our room. The breakfast waffles had no syrup or batter and the toaster didn’t work… just LOTS of little things to work on. Once the renovations are complete and they are fully staffed then I think it can then be considered a resort.

Great service- room locks should be upgraded as we were locked out twice in two days for an hour each time. Staff graciously reimbursed us for one nights stay due to this hassle with our room key cards failing to work.

We have spent an excellent week at this hotel, a special mention for the entire reception team, very friendly and cooperative in keeping their guests informed!

The staff was excellent. Andrea the Manager was wonderful. Camila the front desk agent was very friendly. All in all a great stay with clean pool & Snappers restaurant walking distance.

I arrived after dark, but I couldn't find it because the road was pitch black and there was no lighted sign outside the property. When I called the resort to find out where it was, all I got was an answering service which, of course, didn't have an answer. I finally found the place, but the front office was hard to find, and no one was there even though it was before 8 p.m. They did leave a note with my room key in a box. The room is fine, but I can't recommend this place after such a poor check-in experience.

The staff was really nice and helpful i was giving an early check-in which really helped and the staff even gave me a free upgrage of rooms that made us really happy , definitely a great experience, hotel was very clean and i will make sure to visit plently more times

Good for price; room we stayed at was dated but clean. It was for the night; wuiet and relaxing, I didn’t expect a 5 star. they are renovating but you can’t beat the price for key largo… pool was nice and enjoyed ocean scenery. Nice restaurant next door walking distance. I think when renovations are completed it will definitely not be the price I paid.

The property was undergoing renovations so there was a lot of noise in the morning, equipment and materials laying around. Aside from that, it was a very nice location on the Atlantic Ocean. Great view from our balcony. The room was very clean, the bed was very comfortable. Overall, the room was nice and clean. There seemed to be a sewer smell that lingered throughout the property and didn't go away. But it was a good, fairly central location between Key West and Miami International Airport. The breakfast was nice if not a little lacking. It rained a lot so the parking lot was very muddy and puddled, but was nice to have the free parking. Overall, pretty nice place.

Nice amenities, quiet location immediately located on the Oceanfront.

I picked Dove Creek Resort purely off instinct and hotels.com reviews. It was better than we expected. The resort gives a very personal approach but it’s not a small place. When we arrived the front desk was so concerned - because just the day before they weren’t sure we’d have a room. New partnerships creating booking issues that have been resolved. The front desk crew was so nice and made sure we were welcomed and informed. Our room was so nice - ocean views and secluded. We were able to walk across the property to a creek side restaurant that had decent food (not great but good enough). We hung out along the creek side and listened to the restaurant entertainment and relaxed. The resort offers all ones of water sport activities - we don’t do much if that… but it’s there to use. We were at the end of a week long Akers adventure and this was the prefect place to wind down.

On a positive note, the location was beautiful. The restaurant next door was amazing. On a negative note it was definitely just a 2 star. The rooms were very basic. Definitely needs a. update. Breakfast very basic. There was a terrible smell outside either from the drains or the water. Don’t think I would recommend or go again.

Dove Creek was a nice surprise. It was a beautiful setting and Wyndam's is recently upgrading this hotel and doing a great job. Our room was clean and with a balcony overlooking the water. The restaurant next to the property, Snappers was perfect , also setting on the waterfront and I recommend the burgers as it was one of the best I've had. I wish I could have stayed another few nights there but alas it was time to go next morning. The only unusual thing was that the office was on the second floor. Dove Creek also has kayaking and jet skis for rent. Unfortunately time did not allow. I would defiantly return.

. There was no sign at the road or near the property stating the hotel name so I was not sure if I was at the right place until I finally found the office. The elevator did not work and had to find another one that did work. It was going to be chilly that night so I went to the office to ask for an additional blanket, but they told me I would have to come back in the morning. Some staff members were unfriendly and not helpful.The room was decent and clean but needing remodeled.

I had a great time and the view every single morning was spectacular, we got to eat a pretty good breakfast every morning and it wasn’t far from a lot of great places !

It was great being able to walk to a restaurant. Breakfast was great & actually used real china instead of paper plates. Not enough signage indicating that the office was upstairs. Would stay again next time we go to Florida

Nice view but poor housekeeping. Service only replaced towels and nothing else, I had to ask for more coffee and clean cups for day 2. Tried checking out pool towels and were told they were in the laundry until later today but only 4 people in the pool. Breakfast area unattended. No clean dishes or clean silverware, tables dirty. Free parking was a plus.

Our room was clean. Office was closed when we arrived, but key was left in an envelope with clear instructions where to find our room. Snappers restaurant is right next to hotel. We had a great dinner on their deck next to the water. We arrived late and only stayed one night on the way to Key West so we didn’t use the pool, but the hot tub was great and open all night. Breakfast was fine. My hubby was disappointed with selection but he can be a picky eater. Plenty of options for me.

The staff were very friendly and welcoming, the room was clean and the breakfast was good. The location was lovely. The overall condition of the property was poor and it looks long overdue for some money spending on it to refit the bathroom and redecorate the bedroom and replace the flooring.
