This is a nice hotel for the price. I stayed at others for more and they were alot worse. Highly recommend if you are not looking for the amenities of a pool or continental breakfast. Sometimes while traveling this is all I am looking for. Wish this one was where I take CEU's sometimes.

Crap hotel and oh by the way it's a hotel and Rv park which was not mentioned in ad. Room not ready and strong odor in room from spray to cover up smoke smell I believe.

I absolutely love when I find these hidden gems of motels!! Small family ran motel in a RV park. Clean comfortable room. Can park in front of your door if downstairs. Very friendly staff. Has a very quaint and homey feel to it. Almost like spending the night at your distant family home without all the drama!!. I will definitely be back when in the area. Only downside is very limited places to eat but not very far drive and well worth the extra comfort and fair price.

I travel with my older 50 lb dog so it is not always easy to find places to stay where I can get her a walk and efficient middle of the night potty breaks. This place fit our needs perfectly. Right off an exit on I-80 Ample grassy area for doggy potty breaks and sniffing. Motel type... like old Americana/Station wagon days Not fancy but everything I needed.

Ok value for the price, mattress was comfortable, pillows were flat flat flat! No handsoap by the hand washing sink, no hair dryer, only a banquet chair to sit on -There isn’t a deadbolt on the door - a little in nerving since it is an outside entrance motel-I would possibly stay again but know I would need to bring along items of convenience.

It was a very basic and BARELY OK place to stay one night. You get what you pay for , maybe. Floor hadn’t been swept in some time. Toilet was dirty shower was old and kind of gross (didn’t use it). Waited a long time to get any hot water at sink. Not sure where all the accolades in the reviews come from unless it’s their friends. Appeared others might have been living there. Would not stay again.

The not so good - The refrigerator had an old juice bottle and additional drinks in it from the last guest. The bed sheets seemed dirty (had hair on it + stains) + left over trash behind the bedframe. The AC unit is covered in dirt. The good - Carpet was vacuumed and seemed really clean. The bathroom area is absolutely clean and beautiful. Location is a quiet spot along I-80 with a Loves gas station near by with all the amenities you would need. Overall, for the price you cannot find a better option nearby. Bonus - The cicadas will keep you up all night

No one at front desk after 10. When attendant came he could not get the code for the door to work. Found 2 spiders in the room, and refrigerator had dog hair and what looked like urine in it. Carpet was filthy. Not worth the money!

Our first room was not clean upon entry, so we pulled back the sheets to check the mattress and there was stain that appeared to be vomit but not totally sure what bodily fluid was on it. The attendant was friendly and gave us another room, but the code didn’t work. He came and reset the code and there was underwear on the bed and a suitcase, so then we got a 3rd room. It was also not clean, so we made a not with the attendant that we refused to stay at the hotel. We arrived around maybe 8 pm after driving 9 hours. We ended up driving another 4 hours to get to Davenport and slept at a truck stop because it was cleaner. We asked for a refund through Hotels.com because of the conditions, but never heard back after receiving a case number. I know there are not many other choices along I-80, but I would recommend driving anywhere else if feasible. I understand this is a budget option, and the campground may be OK, but the cleanliness and condition of the hotel were unacceptable.

Room was less than adequate. It was hard to regulate the temperature in the room. Room was clean just from the 70’s. This is NOT a Country Inn and Suites but a Country Inn and Suites and RV Park.

It was just below average one night stay. Uncomfortable beds and outdated sheets and covers. They close at 11:00, so make sure you call them in advance if you are arriving later. We only stayed there because there was a Tesla charger across the hotel.

1-night stay: nice, clean room but missing a few amenities. I had a king bed and couch but there was no table or chair to sit on when trying to work on my laptop. There was also only one outlet that I could see/use but it was near the TV and not the bed. Also had trouble connecting to the WiFi.

Half roll TP!! No one in office to get more. Office locked at 730-800 am ,,,no phone in room to call them. Towels were on the back of toilet not on a shelf. Just not the best place to stay!!!!

When I arrived I had to ring the bell for about 10 minutes before someone came in from outside to get me checked in. The bed you sank in to, and found about four large bugs in the room I flushed down the toilet. Would definitely not stay here again.

I waited 30 minutes outside in 5 degree weather for somebody from your front office to come and let me into my room. The girl who came had obviously been sleeping. Terrible experience. And the heater in the room didn’t even work!! It was beyond terrible honestly. Worst hotel stay I’ve experienced

We were set to drive in very close to the midnight closing time for check in. We called ahead and the staff helped us be sure our family with 3 young kids had a room and a good nights sleep when we arrived. Grateful for a nice stay in Shelby, IA.

We were there for the College Baseball World Series in Omaha (40 minutes away) The place was old, but clean and comfortable and wifi, shower, etc all worked. The price was fantastic. Not luxury, but a VERY GOOD DEAL!

The check in attendant was super nice, pleasant, helpful and enjoyable. There was a gas station pizza place across the road and a mcds and Loves travel stop down the road. Also a nice path for walking the dog across the street. If you aren't from around there then the sky views are amazing. I would def stay there again. Very convenient and right off the interstate. Quiet, decently comfortable and what I expect at least when I book this sort of Inn

I travel with my older 50 lb dog so it is not always easy to find places to stay where I can get her a walk and efficient middle of the night potty breaks. This place fit our needs perfectly. Right off an exit on I-80 Ample grassy area for doggy potty breaks and sniffing. Motel type... like old Americana/Station wagon days Not fancy but everything I needed.

The not so good - The refrigerator had an old juice bottle and additional drinks in it from the last guest. The bed sheets seemed dirty (had hair on it + stains) + left over trash behind the bedframe. The AC unit is covered in dirt. The good - Carpet was vacuumed and seemed really clean. The bathroom area is absolutely clean and beautiful. Location is a quiet spot along I-80 with a Loves gas station near by with all the amenities you would need. Overall, for the price you cannot find a better option nearby. Bonus - The cicadas will keep you up all night

This is a nice hotel for the price. I stayed at others for more and they were alot worse. Highly recommend if you are not looking for the amenities of a pool or continental breakfast. Sometimes while traveling this is all I am looking for. Wish this one was where I take CEU's sometimes.

Staff was amazing and made it very welcoming. It was definitely a small hotel with very little to offer, but for how small and out of nowhere it is located, it was a great stay. I would have preferred black out curtains!

After a long day of traveling, the person working the front desk was very pleasant during the check in process. The room had a pretty comfy bed and a nice shower. A mini fridge in the room was also a bonus.

All of the staff we talked to or that helped us went above and beyond to be helpful. Very friendly and easy to deal with. Room was clean and comfortable. Overall highly recommend. The staff alone make it worth the stay.
