Amazing place. Especially if you need to go the cruise the next day. They arranged transportation for us from airport in Rome to the hotel for extra fee. And free shuttle to the pier in the morning. Hostess Ana is amazing. Definitely would stay there again. Very close to water front. And excellent dining options around

My family and I stayed at this hotel before our cruise around the Greek Isles, and it was a fantastic choice. The location is incredibly convenient—just steps away from shops and restaurants—and the hotel offers a complimentary shuttle to the cruise port, which made our departure stress-free. While the building doesn’t have an elevator and requires walking up four flights of stairs, the staff were more than happy to help with our luggage, which we really appreciated. The hotel also provides complimentary beverages and snacks, and the beds were extremely comfortable—perfect for a good night’s rest before our trip. Despite being so close to the bustling streets, the room was surprisingly quiet once the windows were closed. It was a peaceful and cozy stay, and I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a convenient and comfortable place to stay before their cruise.

Port View Guest house is extremely convenient for anyone embarking on a cruise. Cherry was amazing. She arranged for transportation from the airport to the guest house and offered to arrange transportation to the port as well. I decided to walk instead. It is an easy walk however it will depend on where the ship docks. The facility is a little scary looking from the outside, but clean, quiet and safe on the inside. Beware! It is on the 4th floor! There are NO elevators! It was quite an ordeal to carry luggage up all four flights. However, for the price and the convenience it is well worth the stay. Oh…breakfast the next morning was AMAZING!

Centrally located, lovely rooms and service. Good for the cruise port. The only downside was having to carry our cases up 4 flights of stairs. There is no lift/ elevator. The owner was very helpful in arranging transport from Rome Fiumicino Airport and to the cruise ship next day.

The place seemed newly renovated so everything was clean and great. One thing to note is that the rooms are on the 2nd floor and there are no elevators. They have a decent continental breakfast. Pastries, cold cuts, cereals, etc. The owner shuttles you to the cruise ship for €15. Takes you inside the port in the shadow of your ship. Beats pulling your luggage for a mile.

The staff and owner were wonderful. They do not have an elevator which I did not realize when we reserved the suite. My husband hurt his back just before we got there and the staff carried our bags up and down the 4 flights of stairs. Breakfast was great. They helped us get to the cruise terminal via the owner driving us. Very old and charming building in a convenient location. It was fun there.

The room was large and clean. Be aware there is no elevator and it is on the fourth floor, so be prepared to walk up with your luggage. It can get a bit noisy at night with the motorbikes. It is convenient to the cruise ship port. It is a serviceable B&B, not fancy or luxurious, but works if you need to stay overnight before a cruise.

Room very warm. A/C could be better. Hallway hot/humid. Bathroom more hot and humid with an odor. Could use better ventilation. Was able to use bathroom skeleton key to open bedroom door. Bedrooms also used skeleton style keys. I presume that the all bathroom skeleton keys would have been able to unlock the other adjacent rooms in the hallway. However, host contactable and very accommodating.

Restaurants, port front, walking distance to everything, The accomodation is clean, fresh bedding, towels, comfortable bed,nice shower . Check I was easy and welcoming, staff helpful and pleasant, coffee and tea provided; snacks for breakfast, free shuttle to the port As an extra, our bags were lost by the airline, our host was very helpful in assisting the return of our luggage. Highly recommend, enjoyable experience

The room was updated and very clean. Air conditioner and heater was new and worked great. We walked to a little restaurant that was tucked away but close by and it was delicious and the atmosphere was very “local”. We loved it. I would stay here again for sure

The hotel is centrally located near shops and restaurants and only a few minutes walk to the free post (cruise) shuttle bus. The room was immaculate with a full bathroom tea kettle and espresso machine. The host meets and even helped carry a small bag, sorry no elevator. The room included a few snacks tea bags cream, sugar and substitute as well as a few espresso pods. The Tv has English and Italian channels and WiFi is included. Perfect little place by the beach and port.

Location was good, room was clean and bed was comfortable. Did not realize the bathroom was down the hall (that was in the small print of the description and didn’t even consider that the room did not have an en-suite bathroom or at least a sink. The bathroom was clean but smelled of mold. The bidet was not anchored to the floor and my husband almost fell off. The keys and locks need to be updated. If there was fire or other safety issue, we would not be able to get out quickly. Plus having to unlock our door, then unlock the bathroom door in the middle of the night and repeat to get back to the room was frustrating. The person who greeted us and helped with luggage was delightful and our driver to the cruise ship was also great. But I would not book this place again.

The set up was a bit odd and the add was quite misleading. The quad suite has one queen and two singles (one of them a cot) all in one big room and a small table and chairs. I was a bit surprised when shown our bathroom and it was in a public corridor along with 2 others. However, The unit was clean, the beds were comfy enough and its close to the port. They arranged rides for us too! Nice friendly host.

Super clean room and host was very nice. Have to walk up to 3rd floor (no elevator), which was no issue for us. Large selection to choose from for breakfast and everything was great. Easy walk to port area to catch shuttle to bring to cruise ship. Three doors down from small liquor store and about 7 min walk to grocery store with larger liquor selection and snacks. Only con is your room/door key is a “skeleton type” key. If you don’t get it just right, it will take forever to open or lock your door. And you can see through the keyhole. Would DEFINITELY stay there again!

The owner and the assistant were wonderful. However, I was not expecting three flights of steps up to the rooms or to have a bathroom down the hallway. Must have missed the external bathroom part. There was no view of the harbor. We had a suite, but the suite part of it was two twin beds in another room. The King size bed was hard. They did allow us in early which we really appreciated it and they were excellent about carrying our bags up stairs for us, but it is not a place I would stay again or recommend to anyone with any mobility issues.

Nice hotel close to the port. The rooms were spacious with a nice view of the city street. If you have mobility issues and carry lots of luggage, this is not an ideal hotel as there are no elevators. Our room was on the fourth floor. No bathroom in your room but you will have your own bathroom down the hall. Breakfast was amazing and a friendly staff. The free shuttle to the cruise port was 7 minutes away at Largo della Pace, 00053 Civitavecchia RM, Italy.

The service was fine, very pleasant people. However, the room was not anything like we expected based on the high rating online. The AC did not work, other guests all had the same issue. The internet was not accessible The bed only has a sheet, no blankets There is NO bathroom in the room, you have to leave your room and go down a hallway to access it. With no AC or windows its extremely hot in the bathroom. Dont be misled by the pics, you cant see the water/port There is no reception, you have to call ahead to be met by someone to check in. Rooms are up 4 flights of stairs, so be prepared to carry your luggage. Entrance to building is very dilapidated, needs some serious updates. There is absolutely no way it’s rated 9.0, so don't believe what you read online. I would rate it a 3. Musts be fake reviews. Im disappointed Hotels.com doesn't not do a better job monitoring them. Highly recommend NOT staying here. The only positive is the location

The website does not mention that there is no front desk, so if you are delayed even a few minutes you must have phone service to call them and wait on the street. Also, a VERY IMPORTANT OMISSION on the website, the rooms are up four flights of very steep stairs and there is no elevator or help. We would never have booked had we known this.

We arranged a transfer through the property and due to us not receiving our luggage (we communicated immediately with the property and driver), after being told we'd only pay $150 euro, which we agreed to, once we arrived at the property, they tried telling us we needed to pay nearly $300 euro. We argued for at least an hour, with the owner of the driving company stating he talked to my husband and that my husband agreed to pay that price, which is an out right lie as our phones didn't work and we didn't speak to anyone. Property staff did her best to help us but it was an unpleasant experience and in the end, lots of arguing etc. and we settled for paying $200 euro, which is wrong. The property employee told us the next morning that she and the owner split the difference. As noted, you have to carry your luggage up stairs. Bathrooms are not located in your room, they're down the hall with other bathrooms. The facility is very basic and the door trim was hanging down above our door. During our stay, we opened the door and it came down. We immediately advised staff and her response was "what happened!?" I showed her it was hanging down, the same as on other doors. It's fine for what it was but there are most certainly better options.

Incredible stay Gold stars all the way. Sherri out host was so so helpful. She kept us updated, booked our airport transfers from the airport and back and booked a ride with the also wonderful owner Anna directly from the property direct to our cruise ship. The included breakfast was delicious and offered alot of choices. The room has an incredible view of the harbour and ocean, the beds were comfy and the air conditioning kept us very comfortable. Easy walking to shops and nearby restaurants.Highly recommend ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️and will recommend to friends and would definitely stay again. Having Sherri speak English really helped us

Anna and Cherie were very pleasant and easy to deal with. They took the time to understand our needs, arranged for a shuttle from the airport and gave us options/help understanding where to go to board our cruise ship the next morning. All in all, a very pleasant stay. We had a room with a private bathroom; all was clean to our standards. Grazie!

This is an older building that relies on a series of skeleton key locks, which take a little getting used to. Everything works out, although there is no elevator so you do have to walk up flights of stairs. The people who run the hotel are very friendly and helpful. The facilities are clean and modernized and its pretty quiet so I slept well. I would stay there again and its very convenient to the port and train station.

Location is close to port and train station. Both very walkable. Room was big and had a large window overlooking the street. Only issue was didn’t hear from owner before arrival so wasn’t sure how to get in property. Once contacted, Anna was awesome. Responded quickly and was super friendly. I’d highly recommend for a day or two before or after a cruise

The room was large and clean. Be aware there is no elevator and it is on the fourth floor, so be prepared to walk up with your luggage. It can get a bit noisy at night with the motorbikes. It is convenient to the cruise ship port. It is a serviceable B&B, not fancy or luxurious, but works if you need to stay overnight before a cruise.

The accommodation is highly recommended. The location is close to shops, cafe. Restaurants, port front, walking distance to everything, The accomodation is clean, fresh bedding, towels, comfortable bed,nice shower . Check I was easy and welcoming, staff helpful and pleasant, coffee and tea provided; snacks for breakfast, free shuttle to the port As an extra, our bags were lost by the airline, our host was very helpful in assisting the return of our luggage. Highly recommend, enjoyable experience

Be aware this room is not in a hotel. A very nice woman met us in the street and took us to our room in an apartment style building. Room was great, breakfast consisted of packaged items, such as cookies, cereal, bread, jelly, and provided with an espresso machine. No restaurant involved. Contact with hotel operators was via text. There is no central office. Rooms are located in 2 separate buildings. Our building had an elevator, the other does not. Knowing all this, we would most likely have gone to a regular hotel, BUT I am glad we didn’t. Everyone was kind and considerate, all our problems were solved via text, room was clean and new, and close to the waterfront. It is a new aspect of running a bed and breakfast

The place seemed newly renovated so everything was clean and great. One thing to note is that the rooms are on the 2nd floor and there are no elevators. They have a decent continental breakfast. Pastries, cold cuts, cereals, etc. The owner shuttles you to the cruise ship for €15. Takes you inside the port in the shadow of your ship. Beats pulling your luggage for a mile.

Nice hotel close to the port. The rooms were spacious with a nice view of the city street. If you have mobility issues and carry lots of luggage, this is not an ideal hotel as there are no elevators. Our room was on the fourth floor. No bathroom in your room but you will have your own bathroom down the hall. Breakfast was amazing and a friendly staff. The free shuttle to the cruise port was 7 minutes away at Largo della Pace, 00053 Civitavecchia RM, Italy.

My husband and I had a wonderful time staying at Alloggio Turistico Port View. The staff was very accommodating with setting up our transportation from the airport and also to the cruiseship. Giovanni, our driver was very kind and offered great advice on things to do and the best places to eat. Our room was great and the bed was comfortable. We would highly recommend and plan to return in the future. Civitavecchia is a very charming place to visit and we loved it.
