We loved our stay at the Mellow Yellow! Quality family time was spent with our new sailor and having a fully stocked kitchen and grill was so great for meals together. Jon was quick to respond to messages. The downtown area is so cute and it’s a short drive to anything you may need or want.

Great home, enjoyed the clean and grassy fully fenced backyard as did Liam. Couldn’t eat at all of the nearby restaurants. Liam thoroughly enjoyed the walk to the Grayslake Lake/Park. Second stay at this home will stay again.

It felt like home! Clean, inviting, everything we needed was at our fingertips including a big fenced in back yard and deck as well as a charming walkable neighborhood which allowed our dog to join us, Our son's wedding went off without a hitch and this place was so convenient to every event of the day. Will plan to return on our next visit. Thank you!

We loved our stay at Mellow Yellow! A coworker and I were in the area for a 3-day conference and wanted a quiet place of our own. This place was perfect, clean and cozy. We especially appreciated the Keurig machine so we could have our morning (and sometimes evening) coffee in the comfort of "home". I would definitely stay here again!

Wife and I stayed for a few days while I visited a nearby company for work. House was immaculate, cozy and had everything we needed. Owner was very communicative. The neighborhood was quiet and well maintained. The downtown area, with a great coffee shop, was only a 15 minute walk. Plenty of restaurants in the area too.

I rented this adorable home for 10 days as my son had surgery (he goes to college in the area), and I wanted us to be comfortable. This home was perfect for our needs. Comfortable beds and sofa/chair, plenty of towels and toilet paper/paper towels. My only complaint would be the cherry tree in the front of the house. When they fall they are everywhere and they track into the house.

We stayed here for my son’s graduation from Navy boot camp. It was perfect and in such a great location! Although it is about 25 minutes from the Great Lakes Naval Academy, it was worth it for the beautiful neighborhood and quiet location. The restaurants they had just a few minutes away in Grayslake were wonderful. Jon was a great host and texted right at check-in time. The house is adorable, well stocked with amenities and the beds are comfy. I would definitely recommend to anyone!

Very cute and cozy home in perfect location - close to family. Very clean with all the amenities we needed. Loved being able to use the deck and enjoyed the large beautiful backyard! We hope to be able to stay again.
Very cute and cozy home in perfect location - close to family. Very clean with all the amenities we needed. Loved being able to use the deck and enjoyed the large beautiful backyard! We hope to be able to stay again.

We stayed here for my son’s graduation from Navy boot camp. It was perfect and in such a great location! Although it is about 25 minutes from the Great Lakes Naval Academy, it was worth it for the beautiful neighborhood and quiet location. The restaurants they had just a few minutes away in Grayslake were wonderful. Jon was a great host and texted right at check-in time. The house is adorable, well stocked with amenities and the beds are comfy. I would definitely recommend to anyone!

Cute and cozy. Very clean. Hosted a successful Thanksgiving dinner with local family. Had everything we needed (we didn't cook a turkey, though). Also spent quality time with our Navy boot camp graduate! Great house!

We loved our stay at Mellow Yellow! A coworker and I were in the area for a 3-day conference and wanted a quiet place of our own. This place was perfect, clean and cozy. We especially appreciated the Keurig machine so we could have our morning (and sometimes evening) coffee in the comfort of "home". I would definitely stay here again!

Nice comfortable home in a nice quiet neighborhood. More places to hang towels in bathroom would have been nice. Also mattresses were a bit too soft for us. Would stay again if in the area.

House was SO WELL equipped clean! Found TV very difficult to operate for basic channels ! Across the street neighbor VERY FRIENDLY and HELPFULLY. Tell her THANKS!!! Just very disappointed we couldn’t leave our small dog out ( even for a walk) without VERY BIG dogs ( no less than two a yard) jumping barking ! I know u can’t control that- but DO question the” pet friendly”

It felt like home! Clean, inviting, everything we needed was at our fingertips including a big fenced in back yard and deck as well as a charming walkable neighborhood which allowed our dog to join us, Our son's wedding went off without a hitch and this place was so convenient to every event of the day. Will plan to return on our next visit. Thank you!
