The cottage is amazing ! You arrive and park, load your things on a golf cart the host provide and take off down a short trail to this awesome cabin tucked quietly into this beautiful property. An amazing get away, the inside is remarkable. The rustic look and feel is just what a couple needs to get away. No television, just quiet and relaxing. Wanted to stay another night but had to get back. The host are super gracious and went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed.

It's a good feeling when you actually come across something that was as wonderful as you expected. This cottage is a perfect retreat for a couple, with a bit of a European feel to it. It's cozy, quiet, and the best thing is that there is no TV. Take the golf cart around the trails, build a fire, look at the stars, and relax! You could not ask for a more gracious host, or a more peaceful getaway. A+ all around.

We love this little piece of country relaxation! The cabin is very clean and has all the right touches. The hostess is amazing! The added snacks and warm homemade bread with honey butter are so thoughtful! We always enjoy a glass of wine out by the firepit. This was our second stay and we will be back. Lovely!!

If you need a place to get away from the loud city life, this little cottage is the perfect place. My husband and I got to recharge and enjoy some peace and quiet with each other. From exploring the grounds on the golf cart, to seeing the many different animals and stargazing next to a fire. It was the perfect getaway for us. Wendy and Kevin your place is amazing, and we can’t wait to come back☺️

Wellspring Cottage was the perfect place for us to relax and refresh as we celebrated our anniversary. Wendy's welcome of beautiful flowers, tasty treats, and bubbly was a lovely surprise. The cottage is extremely comfortable and cozy, with many decorative details that add to its atmosphere. What a blast to tool around the property on the golf cart! We also really enjoyed fishing and sunning on the dock at the pond. Terrific place in every way!

This is more than just a nights stay. With the personal touches, golf cart adventures to take on the property trails, and participating in Wendy’s special (holy cow delicious!) breakfast, it was truly an unforgettable experience. My husband and I will return again. We greatly enjoyed no TVs or distractions, but in each other’s company and the cute cottage. It is decorated very cute, the claw footed tub was luxurious, and the bed/pillows were so comfortable. Thank you, Wendy, for helping us have an unforgettable experience!

What an amazing stay this was. We had so much fun just enjoying each others company at this cabin. Went fishing and loved driving the golf cart definitely made it very convenient getting around. We will be back.

My husband and I had another incredible visit to Wellspring Cottage. Quiet, clean, comfortable, and exactly what we needed. Wendy welcomed us upon arrival and made sure we were well taken care of throughout our stay, but it is all of the special touches that really make everything so wonderful. We were able to rest, relax, and recover from the hustle and bustle of life. Birdwatching while soaking in the clawfoot tub, exploring the wildflower filled fields, and wading through cool streams were all available to us and thoroughly enjoyed. I highly recommend Wellspring Cottage for anyone looking to get away with someone you love to just be together.

Gravel locos brought us into Hico. Although this place was 20 miles away from my event, it was well worth the extra travel time. This place was perfect for a party of 2. It was super clean, and was stocked with all that we could need. The king size bed was very comfortable. I’m hoping I can rebook for next year’s event. Wendy was an exceptional host! Thank you!!

We enjoyed our stay at the cottage nestled among the oak trees. We cruised the trails in the golf cart, cherishe the peace and quiet, and even saw a road runner at the bird bath. One of the highlights was the over the top breakfast catered by the host. She is an amazing cook. The bed is ultra comfortable. If you like taking a bath, the tub is big with bubbles or bath bombs provided. Thanks again, Wendy, Bill and Jill

Our stay was everything we hoped for - a getaway for my wife and I to spend time with just each other. The smallness of the cabin was perfect to stay close, and the comfort was just right. We stayed at Wendy's cottage for our first two nights in Texas after flying in from London. It was a perfect place to relax and get over our jetlag. No TV, no wifi, no distractions. Just a great place to enjoy the kind of things that modern life all too often prevents us from getting round to. Unequivocally recommended.

I loved this cute cottage. Many small touches that make it a very romantic place to stay. Loved the claw footed bathtub. Bed is very comfortable. The cottage is on a large piece of property but very secluded away from the host's main house. I wished I could have stayed longer.

Despite my scheduling SNAFU, Wendy and Kevin went above and beyond in their hospitality. I dont want to give too glowing of a review because it may never be available again. But, I can't in good conscience keep it to myself. If you are anywhere in the vicinity of Texas, you owe it to yourself to spend at least one night here.We loved it so much we extended our stay! Thank you, Wendy and Kevin! You are good people with a fantastic property!

Absolutely perfect! We arrived later than planned and the owner had no problems with meeting us and showing us the way. The entire atmosphere was so peaceful with fresh flowers, champagne, happy birthday sign (it was my b-day), cheese and snacks all from a local establishment. Candles were lit and was very inviting. We had to leave pretty early the next morning due to a small family emergency, but were able to enjoy a 4 star eat in homemade breakfast that was more than enough! Whenever we come to the area, we will do our best to stay here, no need to look at any other places. This is our home away from home! Thankyou so much to the owner for making my birthday amazing!

Staying at Wellspring Cottage was memorable experience. Our hosts, Wendy and Kevin, went above and beyond to ensure our stay was perfect. Wendy was an attentive and thoughtful host with incredible attention to detail. Flowers, a birthday sign, delicious homemade bread with honey butter, appetizers from Wenzel’s deli, a bottle of wine, bottled water, and a large selection of coffee and tea were waiting for us on our arrival. Luxury robes, slippers, bath bombs, shampoo, and soap were also provided. Wendy is a talented cook and breakfast was delicious. The slightly remote location in a wooded area ensures a peaceful and relaxing stay. There is also a beautiful, historic winery nearby in Brennan. We highly recommend staying at Wellspring Cottage.

We have stayed in numerous VRBO's over the last several years, and I have to admit this is my very first time doing a review and it's because this one deserves it! Above and beyond doesn't justify the service and experience you will have with Wendy. She's very attentive, responds quickly, gives suggestions and ideas of things to do and places to eat while your there for your stay, and if you're lucky like me, you'll get to go home with some home-grown vegetables handpicked from her garden! This was perfect for our anniversary, but we will definitely be returning any time we need another peaceful weekend away. This was a little piece of Heaven on earth and I'm so happy we found it!

Gravel locos brought us into Hico. Although this place was 20 miles away from my event, it was well worth the extra travel time. This place was perfect for a party of 2. It was super clean, and was stocked with all that we could need. The king size bed was very comfortable. I’m hoping I can rebook for next year’s event. Wendy was an exceptional host! Thank you!!

We stayed at Wendy's cottage for our first two nights in Texas after flying in from London. It was a perfect place to relax and get over our jetlag. No TV, no wifi, no distractions. Just a great place to enjoy the kind of things that modern life all too often prevents us from getting round to. Unequivocally recommended.

We enjoyed our stay at the cottage nestled among the oak trees. We cruised the trails in the golf cart, cherishe the peace and quiet, and even saw a road runner at the bird bath. One of the highlights was the over the top breakfast catered by the host. She is an amazing cook. The bed is ultra comfortable. We love this little piece of country relaxation! The cabin is very clean and has all the right touches. The hostess is amazing! This place is absolutely amazing and we are very surprised we have never heard of it before! We were greeted with the most amazing bread and butter, a snack basket and some beautiful fresh flowers. The cottage is absolutely beautiful, it is the perfect place for a weekend or a romantic getaway, the view is gorgeous and the land is perfect. The owners are the sweetest people and very good at communicating! Oh and GET THE BREAKFAST!! I cannot express this enough, her breakfast was one of the best foods we have eaten! We will definitely be back next year!

My husband and I had a very relaxing and fun experience at this property! Lots of things to see and explore and the hosts are kind and friendly. You really feel like you're off grid in nature. We had fun stargazing, roasting marshmallows, and exploring the property. The hosts go above and beyond to make your stay enjoyable, from the bathbombs in the tub to the fresh baked bread and snacks in the kitchen. We had a wonderful time and can't wait to go back!

Our stay was everything we hoped for - a getaway for my wife and I to spend time with just each other. The smallness of the cabin was perfect to stay close, and the comfort was just right. Our communication with Wendy was pleasant and hospitable! She provided a wonderful stay and was very generous. The cabin was cozy and the scenery was breathtaking! Absolutely perfect! We arrived later than planned and the owner had no problems with meeting us and showing us the way. The entire atmosphere was so peaceful with fresh flowers, champagne, happy birthday sign (it was my b-day), cheese and snacks all from a local establishment. Candles were lit and was very inviting. We had to leave pretty early the next morning due to a small family emergency, but were able to enjoy a 4 star eat in homemade breakfast that was more than enough! Whenever we come to the area, we will do our best to stay here, no need to look at any other places. This is our home away from home! Thankyou so much to the owner for making my birthday amazing!

Wellspring Cottage was the perfect place for us to relax and refresh as we celebrated our anniversary. Wendy's welcome of beautiful flowers, tasty treats, and bubbly was a lovely surprise. This was our second stay at this wonderful cabin in the woods. All of the reasons we wanted to come back were still there: cozy, quiet, and clean.We can't say enough about this place. Do yourself a favor and book a night or, better yet, two. Believe it or not, no TV is one of the reasons this place is high on our list for getaways.
