We arrived early at the apartment. The security person greeted us at the gate. He showed us where we would be staying and helped us with our bags. We turned on the air and left for the food store. An hour after we got back security came to us and told us we were in the wrong room. Someone else was coming for the room who was a repeat customer. He said my room was not ready and wouldn’t be ready for another two hours. So that would be after the check in time of 3:00 We had already laid in the bed and used the restroom and started to put away our things. They spoke with Martin the manager and he confirmed we would have to move. I spoke with Martin myself and he said we would have to move. I asked Martin if he could just switch the others to our room since we were already settled. He said NO. So We moved our stuff to a different room until our room was ready a couple of hours later. We finally were able to move upstairs. upstairs. There was no concern from the property management about the situation. It wasn’t our fault that he put us in the wrong room. The room upstairs was exactly the same except for being upstairs. Our electric went completely off 5 times during the night and stayed off for 5 to 10 minutes. Security said there was a wiring problem because it was old Martin is impossible to get in touch with via email or WhatsApp messages. Staying here was the biggest mistake. Jamaica is better than that. I WILL NOT be a REPEAT customer.

There was an unusable kitchen. There was no kettle to make tea or coffee. No teaspoons. Only two giant pots, and no small ones so it was difficult to even boil water that way for tea. There were no cloths to dry dishes or hold hot pots or microwaved meals. We had to stand on a chair to use the high microwave, above the cooker hood. This was dangerous as clothes could catch fire when the gas stove below was on. The electrics seemed dangerous. Particularly the point hanging off behind the fridge. The rules forbade taking a drink of water into the bedroom for the night. There was a dirty unhygienic large rug to the side of the bed.
