Loved the historical home and location. Very clean and had everything you would need. Walkable to lots of great places. The front and back porches were perfect for morning coffee and evening refreshments. Highly recommend staying here vs the hotel scene. Prairie du chain has historical locations, close to state park for paddling, unique bars (back water, blackhawk, fraziers, the tavern…..great music scene in the evening And!! …. You need to get a burger from Pete’s. The train was fun to hear and see. We embraced this friendly river town. So much to do and see for a 2 night 3 day stay.

We had a fantastic stay in Prairie Du Chien. This little gem was in a perfect location to downtown. The property was very clean and just as it was described. We had everything we needed. Our family fit perfectly. I really enjoyed the little porch area off the back. Great place for coffee and a good book in the morning. I would highly recommend.

My wife stayed in the home three nights and i camped at Villa Louis for the 1812 event and slept in tbe home one night. Enjoyed our stay and the amenities. We didn’t cook so cannot comment on kitchen. No off street parking, so we had to park half a block away part of the time. The final night we were glad we were able to park right at the end of the sidewalk for loading out.

The property is nicely updated. Worked well for our short visit to the area. We spent most of our time, while there utilizing the porch. We noted a few things that could be an issue for others. Like the TV is very small and no cable channels that we could find, The shower is also very small and not very clean. (in my opinion) and It's located on a busy street. Still no hangers but was told that would be rectified the following weekend. The kitchen light, we think, is on a motion sensor, explaining why it goes on and off so often???

Location was good if you want to be in a neighborhood and hear the night life till 3am. convenient on that point. but never open the windows. The bathroom was small , no counter space , the shower was tiny, could not bend over. The shower could use some detailed cleaning. The banister going upstairs was dirty,, strange when the rest of the house was clean. The kitchen and back porch was nice. The bedroom nice but no hangers in the closet. The airconditioning system was great very quiet. Top notch, Livingroom furniture was not usable, too small. I am 5 ft person and I had a hard time sitting on the couch. The livingroom could use a go over and styling. Parking in the front of they building was hit and miss with the bar across the street. I score this property at ok, not great.

Stayed here 2 nights for a weekend of hiking. The property was clean and very easy to get to. It is in walking distance of a few restaurants and watering holes. We would definitely stay here again. Loved the area and the property.

Great location and a nice layout with plenty of room for eating in or having a place to relax after a long day. The place was very clean and easy to access. It was nice to have AC in the upper bedroom. The bathroom was small and could have used some hooks or places to place toiletry items. The closet was large but had no hangers. It’s a beautifully remodeled older home close to many dining options and less than a mile’s walk from Villa Louis.

Overall, good for a weekend stay. But, 2 things we would of preferred. 1) Bath and bedroom on main level. We're older folks that don't like to climb stairs. 2) The furniture was spartan in comfort. Would have liked at least a Lazy Boy type chair in Living Room.

They did a nice job remodeling. It looked nice, but the living room was very uncomfortable and the TV was small and froze up quite often. Just fyi, the kitchen light kept going on and off. Otherwise, the bed was comfortable and the kitchen very nice.

Beautiful apartment in a sweet spot to enjoy the driftless area. Just minutes away from Wyalusing and Pikes Peak. After long days of hiking, it was amazing to return to a warm shower, air conditioning, and space to be cozy and play cards. The beds were comfortable and we had everything we needed to prepare meals. We plan to return soon!

Our stay at this recently updated historical home in PdC was very enjoyable! This home was conveniently located to the activities we did, and you can walk to many places. Communication from the owner was also fabulous. We choose VRBO over hotels for the extra space and privacy, and this historic home did not disappoint.

The front and back porches were perfect for morning coffee and evening refreshments. Highly recommend staying here vs the hotel scene. Prairie du chain has historical locations, close to state park for paddling, unique bars (back water, blackhawk, fraziers, the tavern…..great music scene in the evening And!! …. You need to get a burger from Pete’s. The train was fun to hear and see. We embraced this friendly river town. So much to do and see for a 2 night 3 day stay.

My wife stayed in the home three nights and i camped at Villa Louis for the 1812 event and slept in tbe home one night. Enjoyed our stay and the amenities. We didn’t cook so cannot comment on kitchen. No off street parking, so we had to park half a block away part of the time. The final night we were glad we were able to park right at the end of the sidewalk for loading out.

The property is nicely updated. Worked well for our short visit to the area. We spent most of our time, while there utilizing the porch. We noted a few things that could be an issue for others. Like the TV is very small and no cable channels that we could find, The shower is also very small and not very clean. (in my opinion) and It's located on a busy street. Still no hangers but was told that would be rectified the following weekend. The kitchen light, we think, is on a motion sensor, explaining why it goes on and off so often???

Our stay at this recently updated historical home in PdC was very enjoyable! This home was conveniently located to the activities we did, and you can walk to many places. Communication from the owner was also fabulous. We choose VRBO over hotels for the extra space and privacy, and this historic home did not disappoint.

Beautiful home! Clean, comfortable and had everything we needed! The location was close to everything we wanted, and we even walked to dinner! Parking wasn’t ideal, as we couldn’t park in front of the house, but there was a concert in town that weekend. The only thing I would suggest is to make sure there are more towels and wash clothes, available! I would definitely stay here again!

we loved staying in this adorable house! Very close to downtown- we felt safe walking to the bars and restaurants after dark.We will for sure stay here again if we are in town again.

Location was good if you want to be in a neighborhood and hear the night life till 3am. convenient on that point. but never open the windows. The bathroom was small , no counter space , the shower was tiny, could not bend over. The shower could use some detailed cleaning. The banister going upstairs was dirty,, strange when the rest of the house was clean. The kitchen and back porch was nice. The bedroom nice but no hangers in the closet. The airconditioning system was great very quiet. Top notch, Livingroom furniture was not usable, too small. I am 5 ft person and I had a hard time sitting on the couch. The livingroom could use a go over and styling. Parking in the front of they building was hit and miss with the bar across the street. I score this property at ok, not great.

Great location and a nice layout with plenty of room for eating in or having a place to relax after a long day. The place was very clean and easy to access. It was nice to have AC in the upper bedroom. The bathroom was small and could have used some hooks or places to place toiletry items. The closet was large but had no hangers. It’s a beautifully remodeled older home close to many dining options and less than a mile’s walk from Villa Louis.

Overall, good for a weekend stay. But, 2 things we would of preferred. 1) Bath and bedroom on main level. We're older folks that don't like to climb stairs. 2) The furniture was spartan in comfort. Would have liked at least a Lazy Boy type chair in Living Room.
