This home is a diamond in the rough -- situated in an unassuming neighborhood in La Mesa, it is conveniently located within walking distance to handfuls of good restaurants, bars, shopping, trolley access, etc. Once there, we did not use our car once! The neighborhood is modest, yet friendly and well kept. The amenities nearby offer something for everyone. There are two things I would like to draw to people's attention: there is no a/c upstairs (only in the bedrooms downstairs), but San Diego has such moderate climate, that is probably rarely an issue; and there are no TVs in the bedrooms.Otherwise, it is an adorable and clean home in a perfect, less congested, area of San Diego.

We LOVED staying at this property. It was clean and well-appointed. The proximity to the train and downtown was perfect. The Evolve team was quick to respond when I had a question. We look forward to our return visit.

Overall, we had a great two-week stay at this townhome within walking distance of La Mesa village. It was large, clean and very well stocked, and the upper level living areas were open, nicely decorated and very pleasant. The only reason we give it four stars is that there is a certain noise level that renters should be aware of. There is considerable traffic and a trolley that runs frequently on the major street below the unit, and the noise is audible through the older lower level bedroom windows at night. Also, there were two very loud dogs next door that barked at us whenever we went on the balcony. I'm not sure if that would always be the case, but it was a minor nuisance for us during our stay. Overall, this is a very pleasing, comfortable and large space that makes a nice home away from home.

The house was spotless. Great to have a washer/dryer. Walking distance to stores, groceries and family that live in the area. The only drawback were the air fresheners that gave you a headache the minute you walked in. We found all of them and placed then outside for the duration of our stay to make everything perfect.

We enjoyed the house very much. It was perfect for our needs. The beds were comfortable which is a must have for me! Location was good for our visit to SDSU for parents weekend.
