Gorgeous and Cozy Houston home w/ a private Pool

Be aware that if you book, you’ll go through Vrbo hoops and then also a third party platform where you’ll pay even more fees.You’ll get communication via Vrbo, email AND 2 different phone numbers. It’s just messy and unclear.Also be sure to ask about the pool cleaning schedule dates to make sure it doesn’t overlap with your time.We booked this location as a local staycation so my kids could swim, but after the pool got cleaned and balanced — we were told they’d have to wait until 5 pm before they could get in the water.So we spent one of the days just watching shows and trying to keep little kids entertained while we waited.My oldest daughter also sliced her finger on the broken microwave handle, which had sharp metal poking out. Lots of little random things that just need to be fixed.It was the okay-est stay I’ve ever had and we will not return. I contacted the property manager with various concerns and each time was met with: “we apologize for your frustrated, please let us know how we can make your stay more comfortable”Super polite but unhelpful. This is my first ever negative review on any booking experience, and I hate to write it.

The home has overgrown shrubs and landscaping.The door code provided did not work, but a new one was provided after approximately 20 minutes. the bedrooms and bathrooms are as described. The pool was not operational for the first few days of our stay. You could swim in the pool but it was full of leaves and you could tell the water was not circulating. The area that would be considered a “hot tub” was not functional unless the pool pump was running. Also there was no pool heater so the hot tub area could not be heated past the temperature of the main pool or outside temperature. There is a significant bug issue in the home. Specifically the bathroom. During our stay we dealt with slugs (40-50) during our week stay. We contacted the management company and get no real relief from them. It took multiple days for them to send anyone out to look at the issue. The first and second attempt was with their maintenance members who accomplished nothing. The bugs continued. On day 6 they sent an exterminator, which we had asked for since day 2. This solved nothing as well. We provided pictures each time we discovered more bugs, both slugs and cockroaches. Lastly the home has a musty smell that followed us home. Requiring even clean clothes to be washed.

Beautiful pool and clean home. Great if you have dogs.

Amazing house house, extremely comfortable beds and pillows, beautiful pool. Great host communication. My kids lost their beach ball over the fence onto the neighbors yard the next day we woke up and the neighbor had tossed it back over the fence the kids were so happy. Houston fireworks were amazing. Travelled to Galveston to Pleasure Pier and Bubba Gumps and the beach, Space Museum, science Museum, aquarium, definitely recommend the City Pass to anyone visiting. Thank you for hosting us!!
