The home was as described on the Vrbo site. Host Jim was very helpful answering my questions quickly. It felt like a family lake home and was quiet and peaceful. Our family enjoyed many of the games in the basement. The kitchen is beautiful and full of new appliances, but we were disappointed with cooking pans and utensils. Please consider replacing the burned pans. We made good use of the griddle, which is not found very often in a rental! New mattresses in the bunk room are needed. A few upgrades would make this home 5 stars! We enjoyed our time st this home.

Great spot for families . Lots of room, the pontoon boat and lake was a walk away and the community pool was super fun with its amenities. Closest grocery store is about 20 minutes away, but Jeff had lots of essentials like shampoo, dish soap, spices, baggies, etc. didn’t have to buy as many essentials.

Exactly what we were looking for! Plenty of room for our two families to sleep - the kids loved the bunk room. The home is well appointed with everything you could need in the kitchen, a plethora of games, movies, fun stuff like foosball and shuffle board. Excellent location - you can walk to the lake from the back yard. The Apple Canyon pool and beach are great. Can't wait to come back!

We had a great time with our adult children. The house worked out great for us. Lots of activities at the house and in the area. We rented Jim's boat and had a beautiful day on the lake. The marina, pool, golf course are all very nice. They have all the lake toys available. Would definitely come back.

We stayed here over the New Years' weekend and we all kept finding helpful items and thoughtful touches everywhere! From toothbrushes, floss, qtips, shampoo/cond/body wash in each shower to books, puzzles, movies, highchair, pack-n-play ... the hosts thought of everything and it was so easy to stay here! Our kids could have played in the basement all weekend long (air hockey, foosball, shuffleboard, etc) but we also had a wonderful time exploring main street Galena and enjoying a day at Chestnut Mountain Resort. Our host was communicative and generous, offering an early check-in and late check-out since there was an open calendar around the holiday. Highly recommend!

My family of 4 and my best friends family of 4 stayed at this property for a weekend to attend a wedding in the area. The entire stay was fantastic. The house was clean and had even more space than we expected. There were things for the kids to do. The owner provided so many little extras that made staying at the house better. All of the communication I had with Jim was fantastic, he was very helpful and cheerful. It was far and a way the best rental experience i have had.

Home was large enough to accommodate all 10 of us. Beautiful area, hiking, walks, pool and beach. Winding country roads to Galena IL. Great kitchen with everything we needed.Grilled out, sat on the patio until the bugs came out. Watched movies and played games. Great place for us all to gather.

Lovely home with plenty of space for five adults on a weekend getaway. The three bathrooms were a bonus, and we made a couple of amazing meals in the spacious kitchen. The screened in patio and outdoor patio were perfect for a fall weekend and the evening trip to nearby Galena was fun.

WE loved this property. It was the best place to be with our family celebrating a belated Christmas. The house was perfect: the view, the accommodations, full kitchen. comfortable beds, plenty of room and more. We loved the drive into Galena and skiing at Chestnut Mountain. A great place to be summer or winter. Beautiful country side. Wonderful host.

The home was big enough for 6 adults and 1 baby. We were in town for my daughters wedding. The venue was 15 minutes away. Galena was about 35 minutes away. Downtown Galena is a cute area.Overall it was a nice stay
