Canfranc Estación, a Royal Hideaway Hotel - Gran Lujo

El hotel es espectacular, han conseguido que viajes en el tiempo a los años entre 1920-1930. El servicio es exquisito e insuperable. Desde que llegas a recepción que con delicadeza te preguntan,si quieres q te aparquen el coche o te ayuden con el equipaje. Hasta una copa de cava o agua. Nos ofrecieron una habitación a la que habíamos reservado por 44€ ,pq la piscina no estaba incluida y eran 49€ la entrada. (Si tenéis gorro puscinero que no se os olvide o pagaréis 2€ más). El hotel está hecho en la reconstrucción de un edificio emblemático, han conseguido que no pierda la esencia de la estación mas bonita de España,en un entorno idílico entre montañas del Pirineo. La Junior Suite totalmente recomendable. Por poner un pero, el baño tiene rsdiador- toallero que sol lo encienden de 19 a 23, para una persona friolera hace un poco de frío. Los armarios tienen luz intetior lo cual se agradece. El servicio es exquisito. Nos preguntaron por la tarde si neceditabmos algo en la habitación. El desayuno es de 10. Buffet y algunos platos se pueden elegir a la carta. La piscina esta muy bien, sin ser spa. La cocterleria es muy curiosa, no pongo el nombre para no desvelar todos los rincones sorprendentes de este maravilloso hotel. Pongo unas fotos, pero no todas para que os animéis y disfrutéis de este alojamiento en el Pirineo Aragonés. Un regalo especial muy romántico.

Le site de l'ancienne gare est trés bien rénové. La décoration style art-déco est superbe. La disposition du batiment en longueur rend les déplacements un peu long. Le tarif de 20€ par personne pour une piscine intérieure limitée en accés est à mon avis prohibitif au tarif général pratique. Le site est superbe et point de départ de belles randonnées. Le restaurant de l'hotel est trés bon. je n'ai pas pu tester les gactro mais ils doivent être trés originaux dans les wagons de la compagnie

Aus dem Lost Place eines riesigen Bahnhofs ist hier ein Traumhotel entstanden. Hoffentlich fahren auch bald die Züge wieder nach Frankreich. Leider waren aber sowohl die Bar, wo ich eigentlich Champions League schauen wollte, als auch das Schwimmbad am Abend für eine französische Privatveranstaltung reserviert, aber wenigstens hat der FC Bayern München gegen Paris Saint-Germain gewonnen.

We loved the hotel, brand new, beautiful, friendly staff. looks like a big hotel from the outside but has the cosy feel of a small hotel inside. I thought the price was pretty good value for the level of quality. The only things we didn't like were the pool charges - expensive at 20 euros a person, we prefer to have short sessions regularly (and the fact there isn't a morning infant session isn't ideal), and to us the cocktail bar felt a little lacking in ambience, it was a bit cold and the lights pretty bright - the main bar area was a nicer place to sit we thought The food was all excellent, but if your eating there everynight then there needs to be more rotation of dishes, we kind of felt like we'd done the menu by day 2. theres not much in walking distance otherwise I think we will be back in future, particularly when the children are old enough to do some proper walking in the area. thanks!

This is a spectacular hotel in its location and in the building itself. The staff are outstanding - notably Valentina, the brilliant 'mixologist' in the library, and Monica in the restaurant - but there are signs that the management is unimaginative and certainly not customer-oriented. So the end-of-visit report is ‘Good but could be much better’. As prices increase, value for money needs to increase too. Most disappointing was the mad idea of charging €20 for using the swimming pool! I've stayed in world class hotels in most parts of the world and nowhere have I come across anything so inappropriate and alienating as that. There was a nasty taint of upsetting in other practices too. 'Milk the Guests' is not a good look. Other details of poor design or planning or execution are: - Lack of English (or French or German) TV - foolish for international guests. - Unreliable WiFi - definitely not appropriate for an isolated hotel in the modern age. - Breakfast buffet was good but menu choices were poor. - Impractical design of the bathroom had few flat surfaces. - The room had limited writing / working space.

Hotel espectacular, es la antigua estacion ferrocarril reformada, con un gusto exquisito. El trato del personal del hotel ha sido muy amable y profesional. Lo único que echo en falta es un parking cubierto para cuando nieva mucho.

L'hôtel, les chambres et les restaurants sont magnifiques et nous avons très bien mangé. Par contre, il y a quelques points qui pourraient être facilement améliorés Par exemple, envoyer un e-mail avec les informations quelques jours avant pour signifier que: -Il faut réserver pour la piscine, que le bonnet est obligatoire et que l'accès est payant. -Il faut réserver au restaurant (peut être parce que nous y étions en basse saison)

Absolutely beautiful hotel with an amazing history in a lovely Town. The restaurant was great and we had a lovely dinner on the first night. Nothing is included in the rate so there are a lot of extras like the pool and breakfast, something to consider when booking. I would definitely recommend for a stop between France and Spain.

La calidad de los albornoces y toallas un poco justa, una lastima para este hotel, en otras cadenas hoteleras como Paradores de España utilizan otro proveedores, desde manteleria a ropa de cama y baño de calidad superior.

Muy acojedor y una limpieza excelente todo muy bien .no se le puede poner ninguna pega .Desde la entrada recepción hasta la limpieza todo muy bien.

Our room was very comfortable and clean. We found the temperature too high in the middle of the night. I would have liked a small bar of soap for washing my face. I (female) did not like the warm toilet seat, or the fact that the toilet flushed as soon as I stood up and before I had a chance to put the toilet paper in the toilet bowl. The preparation of the cocktails and their consumption were highlights of our stay. The staff were all helpful. The dinner and the breakfast were good. The hotel is beautiful. It is large and felt almost like a cathedral as there only seemed to be about 30 guests. Perhaps it was the time of year. Unfortunately the trainline from Huesca to Canfranc was not working. There was a replacement bus service which was fine but not quite the same. The 550 bus journey from Canfrance to Bedous (France) was fabulous and linked up at Bedous with the train to Pau. The tourist office at Canfrance helped us with the bus times and the location of the bus stop (as did a local man and a bus driver).

Rapide séjour qui s'est passé dans un superbe endroit. Batisse de la gare restaurée d'une manière fantastique. Chambre originale et sans bruit.

Beautiful hotel, our room was great. Only issue was internet was nearly impossible to log into. We had to ask desk staff several times to assist and finally night before leaving we were able to get ipads on system. There was no password given to guests, shouldn't be this hard to get internet service on devices. Finally desk staff did something on their computer for us, said wait 15 min, but took about an hour to get wifi on devices. Staff at desk tried, but this needs to be fixed on a higher level.

Very nice ultra luxury hotel but the rooms are very small for a 5 stars and we had a suit . Service perfect. Great breakfast.

Canfranc Estación is a true European hidden gem in the Pyrenees Mts of Spain that should not be missed! If your anywhere within a 3-5 hour drive I guarantee its worth the trip! Rooms were very large, modern and very well appointed for European standards... enormous windows allow you to take in the grandness of the scenery. The renovation of this historic train station is extraordinary set in a quaint valley village surrounded by gorgeous mountains, waterfalls and landscape. Don't skip the breakfast buffet that was fantastic with a wide range of options for any palette. We will be back and spend more time exploring this tremendous area!

The newly renovated hotel is amazing. The rooms are gorgeous , the food outstanding.

Séjour convenable et agréable mais la chambre est beaucoup trop chère : même pas de mouchoirs …… et quand on paye 250€ le parking devrait être gratuit.

Après un accueil un peu difficile :personne dans cet hôtel ne parle français, nous avons découvert nos chambres plutôt agréables et dotées de télévisions grand écrans mais sans aucune chaîne française tandis qu'il existait des chaînes allemandes,italiennes,autrichiennes et bien d'autres...donc télévision totalement inutile pour nous,d'autant plus que sur toutes ces chaînes aucune ne diffusait de reportage sur les jeux olympiques! Nous avons choisi de dîner dans la gare(nous étions venus fêter un anniversaire) pour commencer nous avons commandé des cocktails,on nous a généreusement apporté une dizaine de chips dans un minuscule ramequin pour quatre personnes afin de les accompagner... Quant au repas qui a suivi il se serait bien passé si le dessert de l'un de nous n'avait pas été oublié. Quand on a demandé au serveur des nouvelles de notre cookie ,les clients de la table voisine se sont aperçus de l'erreur:on leur avait servi ce gâteau alors qu 'ils ne l'avaient pas commandé mais pour ce qui nous concernait le serveur nous a dit que c'était trop tard car ils étaient cuits à la demande donc ça risquait d'être long, je précise que la commande des desserts avait été faite avant le repas! La gare est magnifiquement restaurée , le lieu très beau mais le haut de gamme promis n'est pas vraiment à la hauteur .

Beautiful hotel in a lovely location. They have done a fantastic job when renovating this historical building. However, it's quite pricey for what you get and you have pay extra for a lot of things that are standard in hotels of this category & price bracket. Furthermore, and more importantly service was very hit & miss. Although some staff were lovely and went out of their way to be helpful, there were others where service levels left a lot to be desired and others where they were even downright rude. Guest relations were a joke and assistance & information when trying to make restaurant bookings at the hotel were almost non existent. Bear this in mind when staying here as they are few other restaurants around. Hotel management need to realise that when billing yourself as a 5 star 'Gran Lujo' establishment this doesn't just apply to the building, it applies to the levels of service provided and here this hotel has been found severely wanting

This hotel is incredibly beautiful from the moment you set eyes on it. For a station to be so big in such a small village is surprising but the way it has been lovingly restored to such as high standard is stunning. The staff were very friendly and spoke good English, to the point where they helped put us on a tour of the historic station that day spoken in Spanish but with a bit of English from the guide. Definitely a must visit!

El detalle del aparcamiento, si lo dejas en el hotel te limpian el parabrisas del coche. Lo único que no nos gustó es que la cama de las niñas no la tenían preparada y tuvimos que solicitarlo más allá de las 10 de la noche para que la hicieran.

The history of this hotel and its location made us feel like we were living inn a WWII spy movie! Really interesting and fun place. Great location, wonderful help especially Mr Israel, lovely room,, stunning lobby and good restaurant.. Read up on this place before you book to get the most out of it! Also, good hikes nearby

This is a truly remarkable property steeped in history We travelled 24 hrs by plane from Sydney to experience Canfranc Estacion and its worth it Travelling up by train wasnt easy though the first part was by fast train Drive or get a taxi for the last bits The experience was on a par with the internal hotel at Machu Picchu or the Oeninsular in Hong Kong It’s a gem and when the train line through to France is completed in a year or two WE WILL BE BACK

O hotel é excelente, restauração primorosa e serviços de ótima qualidade. O ajardinamento do pátio e os prédios adicionais não tem o mesmo capricho do hotel. A localidade é bem simples e sem muitos atrativos. Vale muito pelo hotel...

Excelente estancia y trato excepcional de todo el personal del hotel. El desayuno era un poco escaso, pero se suplía con productos calientes recién elaborados.

Hotel precioso, pero debería dar más que un sitio bonito para ser 5 estrellas gran lujo. Limitaciones a la hora de usar el room Service, limitaciones en la carta, a la hora de reservar para el restaurante…
