Hillside Farm

I have stayed in many type premises. I have never stayed in a property where nothing was skimped. Everything was top notch. When we turned up the BBQ was in poor shape. 15 minutes later a Brand new BBQ was delivered. Incredible service and what a great property, Highly recommended.

7 adults were catered for perfectly.

While the property was lovely I found communication really difficult. The ‘host’ through the VRBO app often didn’t respond to my messages and if you called there was a long wait to then be put though to an offshore person who knew nothing about the property. It was then directed to someone else who also had to find out information from another person to answer my questions. While the property had great amenities and well stocked with kitchen stuff we didn’t know this until we got there and so brought some of our own things (unnecessarily) as it was hard to get accurate information. I never spoke to the property manager even though I asked for them to call me and no one I spoke to actually knew what was in the house. All in all I wouldn’t book again through VRBO as it’s too third party and I wasted a lot of time on hold and waiting for responses. Beautiful property though.

We enjoyed the stay except when we went to BBQ for dinner the gas bottle was empty and there was not a spare gas bottle as stated in the agreement.So we had to drive and purchase a full gas bottle. This was unsatisfactory.
