Designer Comfort in a Country Home!

The property was exactly as listed, loved the hot tub and the area. Bed was extremely comfortable and host provided all the housewares/kitchen ware needed and more. Very thoughtful hosts and we loved the property.

Check in was quick and easy. The cottage was bright clean. Only issue was bbq was our of propane but hosts were quick to respond and replace the tank. Wifi and tvs worked great. Swimming access was a short walk away. It is a rustic access as described by host and others; thankful we brought watershoes to wear. Kitchen was stocked with tons of utensils and cutlery.

This home was perfect for our long weekend getaway. Just minutes to the ferry to spend time in Prince Edward County, but quiet and entertaining to return home to. The hut tub was a nice bonus. We walked the neighbourhood often and enjoyed the rustic beach.

The cottage was very clean and beautifully decorated. The amenities in the cottage were new and plentiful, lots of dishes great appliances etc. The BBQ was super handy and in good working order. The drinking water had a lot of sulfur and we wish we would have brought fresh water. The beach access was disappointing..quite a walk, swampy enterance and overgrown. The owner stated the exterior needed work so we were okay with that. If your group wants to sit at the beach all day I think this cottage may not be the best. Driving to the ferry is a 13 minute drive to get to restaurants and wineries. The ferry leaves at the 15s and 45s minute to Picton. The cottage was a nice get away from hectic life, our host was very thoughtful. Great job on the decor!

Very well-maintained cottage with a lot of attention to detail and exactly as shown in the photos. The cottage had all the essential amenities, comfortable beds and a nice view of the lake. Everything was in working order, plenty of cups, dishes and cutlery, all very nice. Only thing missing was a wooden spoon, had to use chopsticks to make scrambled eggs to not scratch the frying pan. BBQ was conveniently located just outside the side door on a small porch. There is a decently sized fire pit with Muskoka like chairs to sit on, though the grass needed a cut as it was well overgrown. The outside of the cottage is still a work in progress, but there is plenty of space for activities, badminton, frisbee and the likes. There is also a wood picnic bench outside that is great for an outdoor meal during the day. Lake access is very rustic. Need to walk about 7 minutes from the cottage and then there is an unkept, downhill grassy laneway between two private properties that leads you to a small, rocky opening where you can get into the lake for a swim. Not ideal if you have kids with you. Need to ensure you are well stocked as there are no stores close by. The ferry is about a 12-to-15-minute drive from the cottage and to get to Picton is 40-45 minutes at best. Overall, it was a nice cottage getaway and an enjoyable change of pace for a few days from the hustle and bustle of the city. Would recommend Deirdre's cottage to all looking for a calm, quiet and relaxing place to unwind.

We were pleasantly surprised to a very clean, well organized and fully stocked cabin in a very beautiful remote and quiet place on Lake Ontario. It was just what we needed to get away from work and the busy city, our dog Buddy was welcomed as well. The hot tub was so relaxing & clean, they had this fired up and ready for us as soon as we arrived. So highly recommended for a peaceful and relaxing getaway, thank you to the hosts and Buddy says thank you as well! ❤️🙂

This place was exactly what I needed. I was looking for a little getaway from reno’s being done at my house. I will definitely be back when I need another relaxing break from life. It was quiet, cozy, clean and comfortable. There was lake access just a few mins walk down the road and my dogs loved it. It was great that dishes, cutlery, cookware, etc were provided. I love that it was dog friendly, so they could keep me company and get a break too.

Nicely redone interior. Location was great, off the beaten path, very quite and zero traffic. All was exactly as described. Very much enjoyed the hot tub. Even though we didn't have our dog with us, it's one of few rentals that are pet friendly and include a hottub.

Excellent spot for a family vacation. We stayed with our 2 kids had a great time very clean comfortable stay. The place is close to the sandbanks and Napanee is close and has everything we needed. The cottage had a large couch that we could all hang out on and watch tv, table tennis and the hot tub were great. The location is awesome the kids were able to ride their bikes without concern and we enjoyed walks with the dog. Awesome stay hope to return next year.

Beautiful location, Nice cottage, Friendly neighbors and nice roads to walk our pups.We had a nice time but the only issue was the water stank and tasted horrible....

Says “on a lake”, “lake view” and many pictures show the lake however there is no direct access which I think should be more clearly stated. Sulfur smell from the septic system can also be quite strong at times.

Bel endroit! Maison avec tout le confort, excepté l’ odeur un peu désagréable de l’ eau… mais tout est parfait sinon!

Cottage was nice inside. Had a lovely weekend exploring the county. Three things that we noted as possible things to improve…the water has a very strong sulphur smell which is off putting-not sure if that can be addressed but take drinking water. There were no kitchen utensils for cooking…spatula, wooden spoon etc. I brought my own so it was ok. The king bed was comfy but the duvet was made for a queen bed…someone didn’t get enough covers! Not deal breakers just hopefully constructive criticism. Hot tub was a bonus!

This is a beautiful cottage , has all the amenities and the hot tub is a great addition. Very clean and easy to get to, perfect for our quiet girls getaway weekend. We can’t wait to come back

The cottage was perfectly set up for an in-cottage get-away for the two of us our small dog with its -- modernized kitchen and amenities, shower bath, wifi, comfy cozy seating, dining table, lots of light, VERY comfortable beds, and quiet, woodsy gravel road for walks. We were disappointed that there was no local (much less walk-to) access to the water. We bought food/drink supplies in Napanee to eat/drink in the cabin, as there's appeared to be only one restaurant in Napanee for 'foodies' (and it was closed our week). So, for an onsite getaway, the place served us well, and we had plenty of reasons to smile. Deirdre efforts to make the place so comfortable and aesthetically pleasing were also well appreciated.

I want to thank Diedre and Paul. Your little piece of heaven was wonderful. The way you have the cottage decorated was absoulutely perfect. No clutter just simple and lovely. Everthing was lovely. Clean and bright. Wonderful hosts. We will be back. Thanks again Shirley and Dan and Vimy.

The cottage was very well maintained and comfortable. Beds were very comfortable and it was very clean. We enjoyed the hot tub and watching the water from the suite. The puppys enjoyed there walks too.

Lovely location, beautifully furnished and well equipped.Great place for relaxing or exploring the area - Sandbanks, Greater Napanee etc. Well equipped with everything we needed and fabulous kitchen.

The cottage is very well appointed, comfortable and cozy. The hot tub was a great bonus. The mattress was the best I've ever slept on.

Le chalet est rénové récemment et offre toutes les commodités dont une famille a besoin pour un séjour agréable. Tout est neuf et propre, tous les ustensiles de cuisine sont disponibles, on ne manque de rien! Le secteur est très, très tranquille. Parfait endroit pour relaxer. Les communications avec l'hôte étaient rapides et simples, et toujours cordiales. Le seul bémol qui explique 4 plutôt que 5 étoile est l'éloignement et le temps de déplacement... Quand nous y étions, le service de traversier à Glenora était toujours sur l'horaire d'hiver, en pleine saison achalandée, rendant les déplacement vers et depuis Picton et Sandbanks très longs.

The cottage was outstanding; cozy, warm, and beautifully appointed. The hosts were wonderful and respected our privacy. The kitchen was well stocked as we cooked all our meals. We were four adults and an elderly dog and we all had our space. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Would recommend for a short or long stay.

Nous avons été à sandbanks et il fallait prendre le ferry. C’était souvent très long l’attente pour embarquer. On doit compter au moins 45 minutes de plus à notre temps réel. Sinon, l’accès à l’eau de la propriété est plutôt loin de la maison. Si vous avez un paddle board, on peut en mettre un à l’eau quand même facilement. Mais il faut le transporter jusque là. J’aurais mis l’accès plus proche. Ça aurait été le fun d’avoir un kayak à notre disposition. Pour le reste, chalet de très bon goût et bien équipé pour faire nos repas et jouer à des jeux. Parfait pour une petite famille comme nous. Le réseau pour la télévision boguait souvent par contre. Écouter un film peut être long. Somme toute, de belles vacances.

We had a great stay at this country cottage. Keep in mind you will need to take the ferry daily if you'd like to explore PEC. The cottage is in a lovely rural neighbourhood and has everything you need. Thanks for a great stay :)

A short stay of 2 nights but a very pleasant stay. Went to see and visit Thousands Islands which was very easy from here. Would certainly recommend this place! All the described cottage facilities were present and the place was very clean.
