The house was nice, it has a little wear and tear as most beach houses do. The biggest problem we had was the dryer broke while we were there, and they replaced it with one that also broke after 2 loads. I understand it’s on an island and difficult to get a new one quickly, but it still made for a lot of stress. Also the first dryer damaged several articles of expensive clothing. They were very fast to respond to anything I needed. They really tried to resolve the dryer issue over the course of 3 days, it just didn’t work out. There is a lot of abandoned houses and buildings in the neighborhood, but it’s still a very nice place to visit. We found lots of wildlife on the beach that we don’t normally see including hermit crabs, horse shoe crab, live wells, starfish, sand dollars, and a hammer head shark. It’s very fun to explore the island by golf cart.

Great house for a large gathering. Ocean is right out the front door. Plenty of shade in the yard. The kitchen is very well stocked.

We had an absolutely fantastic stay! The house is right on the beach, making it super easy to pack a bag or cart and head down for some fun in the sun. The house had everything we could have needed: fridge w/ water & ice, extra beach chairs, app enabled TVs, plenty of seating for meals, and very clean! My father, brother, and nephew fished every day and caught something new each time. The kids (ages 10, 11, 13, and 14) had a blast on the beach, especially during low tide when the water was shallow for a long way out. It felt like we had the beach almost to ourselves, with only about 10 other people around, which was amazing! This was our first time on Daufuskie Island, so we made sure to plan ahead and bring meals and groceries. Next time, we'll bring more ready-to-bake meals to cut down on the groceries we need to bring over from Hilton Head.Daufuskie Cart and Captain Chez were absolutely wonderful and a pleasure to work with. We can't wait to come back!
