Deer Brook Lake House

Property was very clean. A great view of the lake. Enjoyed our stay and would book it again.

The property was nice and the lake view was definitely a good selling point for this. Issues arose when we arrived to the property around 9:30 and the AC wasn’t working. Tried calling the person through the app and it went straight to voicemail. Then contacted them through the messaging app and was met with “I can try to get someone out there tonight but no promises”. Stayed up till 1am, couldn’t get a tech out and then tried to ask us to just open the windows (humidity wouldn’t have worked). Asked them to bring over some fans, that was accommodating (much appreciated). Had to wake up early the next day, while on vacation, to unlock the door and have the technician work on the HVAC. That issue got resolved and prevented us from leaving the property. While we thought we were out of the woods from having to deal with the owner, contacted us again at 8:00 in the morning to move the car as they had maintenance/service on their boat (prevented us from sleeping in again). If we had known that a service was happening, would’ve kept the car off to the side from the beginning.The whole point is to get away for vacation and it felt like the owner, while trying to be accommodating, became apart of the vacation. Didn’t get any check out instructions and the oven would randomly shut off after cooking for 5-10 minutes.I get it, issues happen, but the vacation didn’t start off on the right foot and just wanted to be left alone after the first nights issues.

Right on the lake! Owner was very responsive. House was exactly as pictured!

Very peaceful and comfortable property. Lovely place for family gathering.

What a fabulous place. I loved watching the baby ducks in the lake right at the dock. The place has such a bright, open feel. The place was so relaxing! I will be renting from this host again!
