Quaint Stream Side Garden Flat

I love the flat. It's perfect for two people. I enjoyed the back patio with the view of the valley. This is where we sat and drank our morning coffee and our evening wine. I chose this location twice because it's only fifteen minutes from Miami University where my daughter is a grad student. I made this trip twice to visit her. The host is very efficient, friendly, and helpful. I highly recommend the flat!

Loved everything about this spot! The entryway was easy to find and the directions to the cottage simple. Parking was easy and clearly marked. The cottage itself smelled amazing! Beautiful and simple. The goats and cats were adorable and incredibly friendly! Definitely will stay again when we return the area!

Lower level space in building on beautiful property. Very comfortable. Easy check in and great communication. I would have loved to hang out in the lovely outdoor patio space but it was very cold. Would happily stay here again.

April 8, 2024 - Somerville, OH. What a great visit. The 2024 Total Solar Eclipse was fantastic. This farm cottage sits on a beautiful piece of land in the rural Ohio countryside. We LOVED having the goats as neighbors, the kids enjoyed talking to and petting them. The creek flows along below just down the hill behind the goat enclosure and was a great place for the children to explore. The springtime (April) yellow wild flowers along its banks were gorgeous. The cottage is quaint, amply supplied, and suited our family of 5. The one bathroom is on the upper floor next to the bedroom. The kitchen worked fine for us - we cooked one dinner and one breakfast. The beds were OK (the fold out couch was, well, a fold out couch). I can strongly recommend this rural get-away for a couple or a small family. If you have a visit to OXFORD, OH, this is a great alternative to hotel life. The drive over to the university town is lovely and does not take too long. Be aware. There are stairs - both up to the entry deck area and up a narrow spiral staircase to the bedroom and only bathroom. Our 82 year old mom was able to navigate the stairs, but this could be an issue for anyone that struggles with them or sees stairs as obstacles. The host family was very welcoming and we really enjoyed spending time in their special piece of the world. GREAT COTTAGE!!!! We recommend it.

We stayed at the Creek Flat during the second night of our stay. It was clean and furnished with coffee and a couple of granola bars. We did some hiking at Hueston Woods and biked the covered bridge Oxford bike trail. Our dog enjoyed interacting with the goats with the safety of the fence between them. Our hosts were very accommodating,

Great location with an easy drive to Oxford. Nice setting. Clean and comfortable. Like others said, you can hear the people upstairs moving around but white noise helps with that, and they provide a white noise machine. Just what I needed to meet up with an old college friend at Miami.

We stayed in this newly renovated, very cute space for a single night for our two kids' "move-out" from Miami Univ. Very spacious, comfortable, clean, well lit. We never actually needed anything, but Ashley was very responsive in answering questions very quickly. We were about a 15 minute drive to Hillcrest Hall as well as the Gaslight townhouses. Thank you!

The cottage is beautifully decorated and equipped with all needs (in the kitchen, in the bathroom and entertainment). Thanks much for the owners' help for our guest, who struggled with the steps to the cottage and the spiral staircase.

We moved our daughter into her dorm at Miami and stayed at this charming cottage. It was a short drive from the campus down beautiful country roads. Super easy check in and lots of parking. Extremely peaceful and quiet property. The goats were unique and fun to watch while drinking your coffee. There is a grocery store only a three minute drive that has a full deli and pizza. Please note that there is a spiral staircase that some may find hard to navigate. We would definitely recommend this property.

This flat is fine alternative to the expensive and limited availability hotels in Oxford, Ohio. It's a ground floor unit, somewhat underground, basement feeling. It was a little too damp for us, with quite a few bugs creeping in. We are campers so were able to deal with it. We very much appreciated the coffee and bottle of local wine offered by the hosts. Charming location, on a farm, with birds and wildlife to watch. The small enclosure of goats next to the flat was very sweet. We enjoyed visiting with them!

Unit clean and comfortable. Had everything we needed. Within 30 minutes drive of Oxford where we were visiting with granddaughter and other family members. Only drawback was upstairs people were very noisy, the sound really carries. We could hear every footstep, every sneeze and most conversations. At times sounded like they were moving furniture. Other than that we had a great stay and would recommend it to others.

Everything booked in Oxford -apparently soccer tourney weekend. Found this hidden gem. Its not accessible for those that cant navigate tiny stairs- not an issue for us.

We were in town for a swim meet at Miami University and this was just a quick 16 mins away from the pool. The owners were very attentive when I had a question via text message. The bed was SO comfortable and my daughter enjoyed the smart tv. Would highly recommend. The property is even prettier at night under the decorative lights!

My daughter and I stayed here for a basketball tournament at Spooky Nook, and this place was perfect!! We loved everything about this place. The property manager was super responsive, the location was perfect and the setting was even better! The place was so clean and there was such great attention to detail! We would definitely stay here again.

We just spent the weekend at this place and it was perfect for our family. We were at Miami for a tournament for our son and to see our daughter. This place is only 15 minutes from Oxford. It’s a very quiet country cottage that has a couple of friendly goats.

My wife and I were looking for a place to stay while visiting our daughter at Miami U, and this was perfect! Cute and cozy, the updated space was in great condition with a very comfortable bed and a huge TV. We didn't get a chance to say hi to the goats, but loved walking out to see them quietly grazing in the morning. I'd definitely choose this cabin for a retreat with my wife, or one of the larger spaces for a bigger group. Highly recommended Note for arrival: the GPS says the property is on the wrong side of the street.

The property was clean and as described. It’s very cute and charming with goats on the property. We had a swim meet in Oxford and it’s 20 minutes to the Natatorium. There is not much around it but it worked great for what we needed.
